Shrimp tapas very good, great bread for dipping in sauce. Seafood paella and Osso buco average. The bill was presented before we asked for it and it had numerous errors, overcharges which we caught.
We are sorry, we take this very seriously, will look into this and we will get back to you
Amazing service and great food. Very authentic—would definitely recommend!!!
Wonderful waitress, friendly bartender and chef, and an excellent variety of tapas. So well prepared and sized that we never made it to entrees. But next time we must save room for the paella.
Amazing tapas, attentive staff, appealing prices - awesome overall!
This was our second visit to Barbosa and it gave us an opportunity to try more items from the menu including two paella: de Mar and de Tierra. Both were excellent and the Datiles - Fried bacon wrapped dates, Spanish sausage was perfect - in fact you will not go wrong whatever you choose. They also have some excellent Spanish wines as sensible prices. If you love Spanish cuisine you must go, if you don't know Spanish cuisine you must go, if you think you hate Spanish cuisine you must go - Barbosa will change your mind.
What a great find and place! We had such an enjoyable time. The food was spectacular, our service was amazing and meeting the Chef who is from Cuba was the highlight. Highly Recommend this place.
What a great surprise - it was a small bistro, very clean tucked around the corner from the mAin street. We were greeted by a very friendly server, Sarai, who explained all of the dishes in detail. The 2 tapas we ordered, octopus & potatoes in Spanish olive oil and shrimp in garlic and olive oil were exceptional. They were very tasty, enough to share, and plenty of sauce for dunking. Glad we only ordered one entree, because the portions were very ample. Our entree, skirt steak with chimichurri sauce was tender and cooked perfectly. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would recommend it highly.
My second visit was just as good as the first.
Sarai and Carlos aim ton please
Had sime tapas dishes and split the conzuela. Fantastic!
Chef Barbosa came to talk with us.
This will become a regular on our long list of great restaurants. We will be here oftem
All 7 tapas were excellent. Great value on wines bottle we ordered - friendly service. Will be back!
I took my 3 young boys and my husband here to eat some tapas! The boys certainly loved the pork entree and the flat iron steak along with the rice. All the servers were so warm and inviting and gave great recommendations. The tapas were delicious especially the octopus! So tender! We will be revisiting this place for sure! Thank you !
The service is friendly and helpful and the food is amazing! I had the best paella I have had in a very long time. We also enjoyed a few a few tapas dishes. Empanadas, a chickpea dish, and the most delicious anchovies. We will definitely go back.
First visit to this new gem. Great tapas selection and menu was small but potent.
Our sangria was the best we have had in a long time.
Sarai was our server and she was so sweet to speak with and helpful with our selections.
Carlos makes the beast sangria and made us feel very welcome.
Senor Barbosa the chef came to our table a few timea to make sure we were satiafied.
As for the food - the seafood stew was magnificant and the trout was beyond excellent. The sauces were incredible.
We will be going back very soon.
We had a great time. We had never been there before. Loved the Tapas and the chef's cheese and meat selection. The wine was great. The server was the best. We will be back soon.
The waitress was very helpful with the menu, making great recommendations. The staff was very friendly. Really enjoyed the Paella.
Amazing food and ambiance.
Ambiance is somewhat lacking, although everything is clean and neat. Great selection of tapas particularly the sautéed mushrooms and the piquollo peppers with tuna. A good selection of entrees. Loved the corvina. Three types of paella. We selected the tierra (meat), which was excellentBe prepared for a little wait which our server did not alert us to. There was a pretty good crowd, and the servers needed a little more help to keep up. All in all, a welcome addition to the restaurant scene away from 5th Ave. and 3rd St.
Try the bacon wrapped dates with chorizo. Even if you don’t usually like that sort of thing, try them! So delicious! The paella is fantastic as well. Quiet, laid back atmosphere. Great for a special night out with friends.
Wait staff was pretty good for her first day.
My wife and I were looking for something a little off the beaten path and figured we’d give Barbosa Kitchen a try. Wow ! What a find !
We started with the Selection del Chef (Charcuteria y Queso). Great selection of meats and cheeses...perfectly presented.
For dinner we shared the Paella de Tierra. Typically, when it comes to Paella, I go the shellfish route. With my wife not really being a fan of mussels and clams, we compromised. What a pick ! With a mixture of beef, chicken, pork, and sausage atop perfectly seasoned rice...Paella de Tierra definitely hit the mark.
Top it all off with a great bottle of wine, attentive (but not over bearing) service, and the coziness a smaller venue provides and you’ve got a great date night.
We’ll definitely head back to Barbosa Kitchen the next time we’re in Naples.
Thanks for your words!!
Food was excellent and interesting. Friendly waitstaff. Really enjoyed the evening. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful server. The food was excellent. A few things were not available that we wanted to try. We will be back!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere quaint. The staff was very attentive and we had a wonderful evening.
There were four of us, and our meal exceeded our expectations. We all ordered from the tapas menu and to a person enjoyed our selections - the anchovies were excellent; the chorizo was very tasty; the shrimp was mild but very good; the dates wrapped in bacon were out of this world (at least three out of four - the fourth was wrapped with the bacon not fully cooked). The lone disappointment was the gazpacho - a bit too garlicky. Service by Jeidy was professional, friendly and enthusiastic. We enjoyed her. We will return.
What a disappointment. After such glowing reviews, my husband and I were so looking forward to a restaurant that resides in one of our past favorites IM Tapas. They say first impressions are lasting. That's so true. We waiting a bit longer than necessary at the front door to have someone break away from their group to seat us. After again waiting for some kind of server, a young woman came over and asked if we would like water and bread. Hummmmm. Bread and water we should have taken that as a sign. Again a long wait for our server who was behind the bar. After giving her our order three times ( because she had the first two times wrong), our food started to come out. It certainly is not at the same caliber as IM Tapas. The food had no flavor. The garlic shrimp needed more garlic, the olive selection was something you would find on a salad bar, and the croquettes were reheated. The staff is totally untrained. This restaurant needs help if it ever is to survive "season".
MountainMary, I am sorry for your experience, all I can say is that we have made some great changes to our staff in the last week. We had had great reviews about food, I apologize for your experience, don't know what happened, we made croquetas in house to order, never re heated, I will private message you. We would love to have you here again.
Luis Barbosa performs miracles in his kitchen. Ambiance, service and food were excellent! We will return often.
Wonderful food. Friendly staff. Great value. We will be back.
Everything was absolutely perfect!
Very sorry to have to write a poor review but after the Naples Daily News article was so glowing, I feel people need to know our experience was very different.
I am very sorry, we were not aware of the review and we had more people that we were expecting, I would have blocked 2 tables if I would have know, we are still in soft opening mode and training staff, I am not making excuses, still you should receive the highest service, I just want to know we are working very hard not to let this happen again
The food was great. The service was horrible. So horrible in fact, that it detracted from the overall experience. Hopefully, it's new restaurant issues that they will fix. The food was good enough that I would give it another try, but not anytime soon as they need to fix their service issues first.
Still working out the kinks. Service training needs help, food was okay but nothing to write home about. Will try again in a month or so.
Read glowing reviews posted by others, so probably had too high expectations. Service was excellent, food a mixed bag - the seafood paella was disappointing as was the lobster empanada. Other tapas & sides were good.
Good food and value. As a new restaurant needs improvement on service delivery. Looking forward for the restaurant to mature and become a new gem in Naples.
For a place that just opened, and even told us they were operating in 'Soft Opening Mode' they really are spot on. It felt like we were back on La Rambla in Barcelona. Dates, Chorizo, fresh anchovies, croquetas, pane, serrano & pata de negra jamon, cutella, cheeses and great wine! Our server Mia was great, very friendly, willing to help and attentive. We went with multiple courses of tapas (listed above) and 2 bottles of wine, we left very full and happy. Will have to try some of the entree's next time, but the tapas are so good it will be a hard choice. Our favorites were the Anchovies and the Bacon wrapped dates with Chorizo, but we did not have a dish that disappointed. If you have a chance to go do it as I predict next season it will be hard to get a reservation here.
Barbosa has just recently opened in Naples. Having said that, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The waitstaff could not have been friendlier and the food was excellent and full of taste. We had several tapas to start (all wonderful) and four entrees. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. WE will go back soon......
Although it just opened the food and service were great. Many items on the menu worth trying from appetizers to entrees we enjoyed every bite. I think once this restaurant gets discovered it will be a big success.
Great service, amazing food. Highly recommend the tapas!!
Croquettes were amazing, filetillo de res was cooked perfectly, succulent and tasty. Great Spanish wine list.
The food was great, best croquetas I have had, and a Spanish omelette to die for!!!Excellent service, highly recommend
I made a special request for the churrasco and it was cooked precisely how I wanted! The chef got it to perfection!. Highly recommend the Spanish water, its thirst quencher! Great customer service and serves went above and beyond
Finally open, I was waiting for this since the Chef used to run El Carajo in Miami and we used to go there quite often, we went yesterday and all I can say is food was amazing, great wine, great tapas, we will be back again
