    This is NOT the same restaurant advertised on the OpenTable page. It's literally a different restaurant with a different look and feel and different menu. The photos of the restaurant in the profile are not the same restaurant as the one we went to. So so weird! Hope someone from OpenTable reads this and deals with it. Thanks!

    We went to Barbara to celebrate my boyfriends birthday and it was great! Solid Italian food but what made it stand apart is the amazing birthday celebrations. Will certainly return for future celebrations

    I went to Barbara Pinseria on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. Overall, it was absolutely perfect for the type of experience we were aiming for -- very lively and fun, with awesome views to people watch, and the restaurant itself is very stylish. The main issue is the staff wasn't very attentive, and even though we wrote that it was my friend's birthday in the reservation notes, we had to go out of our way to ask/remind them for the birthday sparklers. To be fair, it did look like our waitress was covering all the tables, so they may have just been short staffed. For birthdays, they bring out a slice of birthday cake, dim the lights, pump up the music, and as mentioned, there are sparklers!! So that was super cool. The food wasn't piping hot as I would have liked, but very good -- fresh and flavorful. The portions are also pretty decently sized. When we got the check, we were shocked...by how reasonable it was! So overall, I loved it, and will definitely go back again and again.

    What a great place. It was lively and fun. The accommodated nine of us and we never felt like an inconvenience. Service was quick and dirty plates removed timely and all staff was in it. Love it.

    Lunch: The cacio e pepe dish and green salad with walnuts paired with a glass of prosecco was superb. The service paired with North Beach atmospheric ambience was wonderful. Highly recommended!

    We ate here in a pinch after we had made a dinner reservation at another restaurant, but almost got killed on our way walking there. We unknowingly made a reservation in a not-so-great part of town and walking there was not a good idea. This was the quickest place we could find outside of the DMZ. The pizza was creative, and tasted very good. They were understaffed on servers, I think one guy had the entire restaurant, but he slayed it and did better than a lot of places do with 3x as many people. Nice experience!

    Service is a highlight for sure! Having an Italian server was a blast. The pasta dishes our table had were exceptionally tasty. We didn't love the Roman Pinsa style pizza because we prefer thinner crust but if you love thick crust, you'll love it.

    So many good places to dine in North Beach but this is not one of them. Meh flavors, meh service—- bread was burnt leftover cold pizza dough surely they could come up with something remotely edible. It is a great location in a historic building at the corner with two sides open. Get a chef and some good ingredients… try a lot harder.

    My friend and I went here during restaurant week and it was a great deal to get an appetizer, entree and dessert! Food was delicious. The ambience is fun and the service is stellar. Will be returning.

    Had a reservation for 10 and we were initially only ordering drinks and appetizers or sharing entrees. (Maybe more food later after some drinks) The server wouldn’t let us finish our initial order saying we needed to fully order food and drink for each person… we we were not even allowed to get our drinks. We walked out since we were being treated so poorly. The service staff was entitled and did not want our service. Having been to this restaurant multiple times before and this time coming for a friend’s birthday I was frustrated with how we were being treated. Will not return. I recommend the restaurant removed reservations if they act this way. Just judge the groups at the door if they don’t meet your “requirements “

    We visited Barbara Pinseria last year with our schoolclass from Sweden, and this year we went there with another class. As last year the food was outstanding and the service excellent!

    We came in a bit early. The staff greeted us and sat us down right away. The food was amazing. I would recommend it highly to check this place out. Pizza margherita was my favorite. The pastas was really good too!!

    We had an amazing time here! Made a reservation for 10 people including a baby. The place was pretty empty since it was a rainy Sunday but perfect for our big group. Our waitress was great, food was great and the music they play there is so good. Our baby loved it so much he got up and danced! We also had a birthday and they turned up the music and brought big sparklers and dessert to make it extra special. Would definitely recommend this place!

    Amazing!! It was such a spectacular experience. The Carbonara & Salmon pasta was superb. We were seated by the windows and it was the perfect spot to unwind and catch up with my friend. Will be back!

    We chose to dine here because we love El casaro, sister restaurant. But it wasn’t the same. It’s more expensive and less tastier. We ll stick to El casaro :)

    Got there before the Illusionist show at 5 pm and the service was extremely attentive. The cocktails were also surprisingly balanced.

    We had a dinner reservation at 8 and we were not sat till 8:45. While the food was decent, our appetizer was brought out last and one of the pizza’s was not cut. Our waiter was missing in action, and we would have to ask other wait staff for help. Also we had to physically get up and go to the bar to check for our drinks that we ordered over 30mins prior. Our dining experience for 4 people took until 11pm when we finally had to ask for our check twice. Even though we clearly had issues with the order of our food, there was no attempt on Barbara’s part to make it right and at least take the appetizer off the bill.

    Although the location was great and waitress was attentive, we had to wait when we arrived and after we were seated, we were moved twice. The food was good, but not quite as flavorful as we expected.

    Good appetizers and pinsa. I have had better pinsa elsewhere, but this was quite good. Service was sporadic - came to our table quickly to take our orders (almost like they were rushing us). Apps came quickly - before our drinks. there was a delay for the pinsa - most likely because the apps came so quickly. And still no drinks - they finally arrived after we started on the pinsa. No utensil for cutting the pinsa. Since we were sharing we had to cut with our butter knives - not easy. Very loud. It is a noisy space to begin with and it was pretty full that evening. But then the turned up the piped in music even louder. I could not hear the person sitting across from me. So in the end I would not say don't go there, but not sure I will be back.
