   Cenamos para año nuevo, la comida exquisita y los garzones muy atentos! El trago estaba algo fuerte pero no tuvieron problemas en arreglarlo! Muy recomendado!

   Overall pretty horrible serving experience. The server wouldn’t let me try any type of wine without agreeing to purchasing the bottle. I could only try already opened bottled wines but when we agreed on a bottle, he served my mother first and asked if she wanted to taste it. Server never came back to check on our experience. My steak was very well done. It was only until the wonderful busser noticed I wasn’t happy and he immediately took the steak back and brought a new one. Once the new steak came, the server never came back to check on our table. When I mentioned to the manager my overall experience, the manager could only apologize. For the ambience and price….you’re paying too much to be served horribly

    This was my first time dining at Barbalu, and I had the most amazing experience. The restaurant is simple but beautiful, and also has a lovely selection of outdoor tables. I had a wonderful, fresh mixed greens salad to start. I then had the squid ink pasta with shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce. It was out of this world. I finished with the chocolate walnut cake, which was rich and decadent. My server Alejandro was wonderful, and made certain that my experience was perfect. A great choice for dining if you're near the South Street Seaport, or anywhere in lower Manhattan.

    This is such a cozy spot with beautiful exposed brick and hanging lights. The food was AMAZING. The Pear & ricotta fagottini was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend.

    I have eaten here 4 times in the last few months. It is definitely a hidden gem in downtown/seaport area. The Pear Faggiotini is a must get, it is heavenly. I always bring guests here as it’s usually quieter with a great ambiance. Would recommend to anyone visiting seaport!

    The food was amazing and so was the service. The beer service I received during my whole trip! I went to 10 plus places. The pizza was the best I’ve had in years. The price was super reasonable and the waiters knowledge of food was amazing

    We are happy Chef Antonello is back! All the food is always very good, but especially his mushroom risotto is the best in town. I hope this dish will be back for the fall special menu. The service is also very professional and we enjoy every time!

    First time, and won't be the last. Absolutely loved the lasagna, and the lobster ravioli. Great wine selection, and knowledgable staff. We arrived near sunset, so the skylights provided nice lighting. Once it was dark, candles were brought out. Highly recommend!

    Truly a perfect little spot to get together with friends to catch up or for a date night out. Service was so kind and helpful and food was amazing! Was able to make a lot of dishes gluten free which was important as we had a food allergy in our group. Wine was delicious and the espresso martinis was the perfect way to top off dinner.

    Wonderful restaurant but critically understaffed. Need rubber slides on chairs the grating noise significantly detracts from the ambiance. Food was absolutely phenomenal and so was the wine selection! Had the Italian meats for two... Best breasola I've ever had! And the ravioli of the day .. Lobster ravioli stuffed to capacity with delicious lobster meat 😋 Can't wait to return... But perhaps with ear plugs.

    The food was good but the waiters rushed us all the time to finish and leave, from ordering food, to finishing out the entrees quickly (we weren't finished eating them that they told us that they needed to bring the main dish so to finish it up) to the main dish, asking while we were finishing it if we wanted to order the desserts.... If it wasn't the rush they put on us, it would have been a nice night.

    Barbalu is a lovely restaurant in the Seaport area. Our meal was absolutely delicious and creative. The service was excellent as well. It is a gem of a restaurant.
