Barbacco looks sleek and urbane, with a welcoming feel. The 66-seat restaurant is fitted with a rich black marble bar for counter seating complimented by a bright yellow beverage case displaying coolers of wine on one side and the building’s original brick walls on the other. The dining tables throughout the restaurant are great for parties of two and up to six. The space is full of energy and infused with a convivial atmosphere where guests come to meet friends or make new acquaintances.
Reservations are welcome, keep in mind that our seating capacity is comprised of counter space and individual tables. We will honor requests for individual tables to the best of our ability.

Dinner at Barbacco was spectacular. We started with the charcuterie board beautifully arranged with the finest prosciutto, salami, mortadella, cheese, olive, nuts. Followed with the octopus. For the main course we had the steak and the rigatoni pasta. OMG, they were so delicious. Our friend who had never eaten at Barbacco was so impressed with the food and presentation, he basically devoured the food. The wine and the service were fabulous and perfectly complimented the food. We had a fantastic evening. We will be doing it again!

Barbacco is something of a hidden gem in the darkest of FiDi. They do outstanding pasta and fish dishes, and the wine list is very nice, featuring a good assortment of Italian varietals. It's got a fun bar scene and a lively vibe and is just a nice place to hang out and have a drink and a good meal.
Great menu, ambiance, and service. Wednesday had a pasta set menu for their dinner menu as well as the a la carts options. Wine selection is diverse and very good!
Food was great and service was great, but they did forget our drinks and our olives... thankfully it was not charged... My pasta was yummy!
Would have been great to try the Ginger Collins... next time!

Salad of pear, radicchio, etc., pasta with mushrooms and ricotta truffle cream and, perfectly cooked (med. rare) steak with trumpet mushrooms were absolutely delicious. Molto buono! Delicioso!

The food is reasonable priced and good quality for what you get. The prices for lunch and dinner are the same so it's a so-so deal for lunch but a good deal for dinner. The one downside is the place is usually dense with people (not a lot of open space) so it's sometimes hard to hear or be relaxed there. As long as you're ok with that type of atmosphere I would recommend it.
Yummy pasta and everything else!
I love this restaurant. I often go for their variation on spaghetti w clams which has, until this visit, been terrific. This time it was very disappointing. A few overcooked clams. No mussels or baby squid. Something instead deep fried and mushy. May been the chef was off or had a very bad night. It drove my rating from 5 to 3. Deserts brought it up from a 2. Come on folks, you can do it.

Food was always excellent at Barbacco. Seating arrangements aren’t always comfortable. The height of the stools are odd in relation to the banquettes. The stools are also shaky and provide feeling of unrest to my fellow guests as they think they were going to fall with their stools.
Great for client or team lunches. Delicious food, good service. Book ahead.
Tried pasta night this time! So delicious. A great value and a great way to try multiple items on the menu. We will be back on March pasta night!

We had a great time dining at Barbacco. The food was great with healthy portions. I had the sea bass which really impressed me with the flavor and how it was served Italian (I don't usually order fish when eating Italian.) We left full and happy. The only reason I gave the food 4 stars is because all of my dishes came out so hot I could not eat them for 5-10 minutes (I think I ordered the easy to plate items while my husbands dishes may have taken longer.)

Barbacco is a modern tratorria, Prix fixe menu was well done, but seatings for couples and solos are at counter. For a Thursday evening, very crowded/busy with accompanying noise level. Compensations, good, well prepared food, not the usual generic spaghetti/meatballs, and good service.
Strictly go for the food, not for a date night
Took my son for his 30th birthday, we were lucky enough that it was restaurant week so able to try many courses for a fixed price. It was out of this world! The amatriciana was so delicious, the fish course so fresh and inventive.
We'll be back for sure!

Dario was awesome! Food was outstanding! We both had pasta dishes, which were house made and perfectly prepared. Great value for a city which could cost you much more.
A bit warm (ambient temp) and loud but excellent food and service.
Way too loud for normal conversations. The tables are set less than a foot apart.

Overall great dining experience. We were on our way to the aiport and our waiter, Scott, was very great in making our first time at Barbacco an enjoyable experience and kept us on schedule! He is an asset to your restaurant.

Barbacco is one of my favorite places to go in the City. The food and service are phenomenal. We had the cappellatti pasta and the branzino. They were soooo delicious and perfectly prepared. Appetizers and dessert were excellent. The service was just outstanding. Simply a gem.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Barbacco on Friday. Though we sat at the bar, we had excellent service, and met some friendly people on both sides of us. Our pear salad and spaghetti with seafood were both outstanding. Penna Cotta was creamy and delicious. Highly recommended.
Had such a wonderful experience at Barbacco! It was my first time visiting and it was a lovely place to have a well needed catch up with my uncle. The wine suggestions by our waiter were fabulous, in fact, everything about his service was GREAT! The only disappointment was out appetizer... the gnoccho frito was unfortunately sooo tough. The cheese and Mortadella that came with it was epic, though! Wouldn’t stop me coming back, I just wouldn’t order that dish again. Overall thank you SO much for a great night!!
We asked for a item not on the menu to be made fir us that we would share. The dish was great! Our waiter Dario was excellent. Suggested a Percy started for us. The wine we chose went with both courses. A great night out!❤️❤️🍷🍷

The monthly pasta night was a good deal and a lot of fun. Two appetizers and two pastas to share for $25 per head. All the dishes were tasty and the place is lively with prompt service.
