My wife's chicken in her caesar was inedible and the chicken in my sandwich was tough.
Water glass had a sharp, dangerous chipped edge.
Will not go back - bad food and indifferent service.
long wait, poor food quality and limited choice (good wine)
Enjoyable patio dining with several vegetarian options. We had gazpacho and cauliflower, as well as a burger, chicken wings and garlic noodles. Everything was delicious and service was prompt and friendly. Great spot.
Food is waaay better than you would expect from a bar! They got some serious flavor going on! Good people too there
Good food. Friendly staff. Bartender was very nice!!
The brussel sprouts were to die for and so was the fettucini and the tofu rice bowl. I will definitely dine again.
Oversalted salads and appetizers. Initially missing burrata from the burrito salad.
Great staff, food just fell a little flat, needs more seasoning, especially on the rice bowls. Bam bam cauliflower and bam burger were both very good.
Very nice neighborhood pub, food and beer. Specially now you can seat outside it is very lovely. Their fried chicken is a very nice surprise.
Great selection of local beer.
Definitely check it out.
Great outdoor spot
Overall, the food was great-pizza and salads especially good, fish just so-so. Wonderful , friendly service- we’d definitely go back, but probably not order the fish!
Burrata salad was a joke. Could’ve made it better at home. Barely any effort or flavor put into it. I would not order the poutine fries again. Regular fries were good. Average at best burger. Drinks were nothing special. The service... kitchen was backed up allegedly? Our appetizer took forever to come out. Our server apparently got off in the middle of our dinner and no one notified us. He just disappeared so I kept making eyes at another server every time we needed something. While waiting for a server to get our check we noticed our original server drinking a beer with what I’m assuming was another coworker over by the far picnic tables. Our replacement server was very kind and great though. However, we will not be back.
This was such a wonderful surprise. We booked it as a halfway point for a friend reunion and it was perfect. Large outdoor patio on a relatively quiet street with awesome cocktails and food. Burrata salad was a favorite.
This was my first time to Baramor and I was favorably impressed! I went on a rare date night with my wife as I had heard good things about the restaurant. We ordered drinks, the chicken tortilla soup, the bam burger, and the steak frites. The food was excellent - my wife especially like the parm fries. Cocktails were good and the bartender is an enthusiastic shaker. I ordered the "Pull for Charity" beer option which was also good and I appreciated that some proceeds went to charity (as the name implies). The service was good, but you have to get used to a rotating service crew (not one person waits on you). Despite the rotation, I never felt we were forgotten. My only complaint is the noise. They had several TVs going giving it more a sports bar than bistro feel. Add to that tight seating (and other noises - did I mention the enthusiastic shaking?) and it was hard to communicate some times. Small complaint though. Overall, a great evening!
The outdoor dining area was great! It allowed for plenty of space between tables. The menu had a lot of different options, which I appreciated, as someone who is vegetarian and has a dairy allergy!
Their outdoor seating is a great atmosphere, as is their pub seating indoors. Pro tip - when ordering the Nashville chicken sandwich, heed the server's caution. It's HOT. Great ... but HOT.
Nice ambience, friendly waitstaff and good burgers and salad. Disappointing Tex mex.
Ate outside, was a great experience. Good attention to my gluten-free needs.
Wonderful outdoor dining option. Try the burger! It’s amazing!!!
This restaurant experience was the worst of my (long) life. I am a fair and congenial person, with a love for the outdoors, food, and people. This restaurant seemed to offer all of this.
It started with my friends and I ordering drinks. Two of us ordered martinis with muddled cucumber, which arrived as super sweet, diluted gimlets. We took a sip and decided this was bad enough to send back. But the waitress was upset at this. So, with an angry glare, she left the drinks on the table, apparently as an immature rebuke (finally, someone else brought us 2 new drinks). I'm not writing this review to complain about the food, but as long as I'm here, I'll just say the truth: the food was tasteless. But that's the least of it.
To punish us or out of incompetence, the restaurant ended up charging us for 5 drinks instead of the only 2 we ordered and drank . Thanks to our hostile waitress ditching us, I had to go inside to have the bill corrected. But the person behind the bar (I had asked to see the manager) stared at me blankly as I explained that not only were we incorrectly charged for the two drinks we sent back, but someone had added a 5th drink, neither ordered nor received. Steely eyed, he continued to stare accusingly at me, not correcting the bill until I explicitly pointed out this was the correct thing for him to do.
Bhe final blow came when, as we were gathering our things to leave, my friend handed a $10 bill to the same guy who'd begrudgingly corrected our bill -- he, not the waitress, is the one who had come to our table to collect payment. My friend smiled at him, saying t she'd like the money to go to him or anyone besides the waitress. He took the money and sneered at her, "I will hand this right to your waitress! But, this was so shocking that I quickly removed the bill from his hand--at which point he said "Leave now and never come back!" An unprecedented experience on all counts. And over-priced to boot!
Food and service was good. Liked their outdoor seating.
Food was just okay. I ordered the salmon and my husband got the Nashville hot chix sandwich which was outrageously hot, as they mentioned on the menu. Our waiter was not the greatest, after we finished eating (had been there for 60 out of our 90 min res) he said to us ‘I could really use this table, are you all set?’ Yeah fortunately we were more than all set with your service and this restaurant. We stopped and got dessert elsewhere on the way home.
Waiters were hustling, but they did seem understaffed
Great outdoor spot for straightforward pub food and good drinks
Baramor has created an excellent outdoor dining experience in the heart of Newton Centre. Kudos to the team for persevering through the pandemic and creating the perfect casual, outdoor ambience for spring in New England. Love the cocktail menu and the homemade shrubs.
Horrible experience from start to finish. Will not go again. So many other restaurants in the area, I wish I didn’t waste my money on this one.
We had a very enjoyable visit to Baramor on Mother's Day. We sat outside and my only complaint was that we had a small table for the 3 of us.
The food was really good - burgers and the HOT chicken sandwich (it was indeed very spicy as we were forewarned!). But it was tasty and good.
The service was top notch. Friendly and efficient service. Our server was very attentive - and - to her credit - made fun of my teenager for not being able to handle the spicy sandwich! We will go back soon.
Great drink menu, fantastic outdoor space and great food!
Menu has a great variety, suiting any age or diet! Friendly and efficient service makes for a great time out. Looking forward to our next visit!
First time visitors - cute location in Newton Center in walking distance from Green Line. Food was great and portions were plentiful. Place was very clean.
Great food great server.
We were looking for something basic and easy and outside and this worked very well. Nachos and popcorn shrimp were good and the service was attentive.
Excellent outdoor dining experience in the heart of Newton Center.
Some of the tables outside are pretty much in the street with cars passing a few feet away. Next time I will try to request one of the tables that is along the building. Otherwise, all good.
Food was tasty - great for a casual dining experience outside
Great food and great beer selection, I will be back!
Awesome spot for a date or small group of friends! Very nice staff and great food; the place was energetic without feeling crowded at all. The beer on tap is quality (not standard boring stuff) and they even asked us if we wanted to change any of the TVs near us to something else.
Would definitely recommend 10/10
Enjoyed the outdoor seating today for lunch. Awesome to be able to sit outside and enjoy great food and great service, and very tasty steak tacos.
We arrived and had a little bit of a wait before the server could get to us to grab our food and drink order. Both servers that night very quickly made amends with excellent service and unobtrusive check-ins. The cocktails were great - and the food was fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was fantastic and fresh - the aioli took a good sandwich to a phenomenal one.
Overall would recommend this spot and definitely plan to go again.
Other highlight: Each outdoor table has a heat lamp adjacent to it.
