Food quality has declined since last visit. Service was excellent (Dylan).
We have eaten here several times now and have not been dissapointed. The food was excellent. Our server Toni was very personable and attentive without being intrusive. We would recommend BarZin very highly!
Food wine and people were all great! A must add for your restaurant circuit!!
Had the swordfish special-very good. Braised short rib onion soup very good also. Service exceptional
Wine list good
We have never been disappointed. The onion soup was outstanding and our entrees were cooked to perfection. The apple cobbler melted in your mouth. All in all a great birthday celebration.
Consistent and excellent every time I go there. Friendly staff, good food, and a nice atmosphere.
Always visit Bar Zin on our trips to Amelia a Island. Always superb all around. Highly recommended.
Bar Zin was great as always. The service staff is both personable and professional. The salmon is just terrific. It's our go to restaurant on the island!
Delicious, as always. Both of our entrees, pork shank and swordfish, were enough for two meals.
Excellent wait staff and the food is always well prepared. The truffle fries are to die for!!!
Well prepared food in a modest dining atmosphere. A little noisy but tolerable. We ordered scallops and braised pork hock from the entree menu, forgoing apps and salad as the entree prices are high. Our entree were well prepared, but accompanied only by a serving of a starch (risotto). Again, well prepared, but not very good value. There are better choices on Amelia.
I didn’t know that it was only beer and wine, but once we got settled into our table it was an amazing night. Wine list is not too pricey but done great options; food is excellent and service was super too. A great spot and I’ll be back.
Service was great! Happy to see they have the traditional mussels with garlic, white wine sauce.
Thanks for putting us in the back room as we requested. Really wish you would put the ahi tuna crunch crunch back on the menu!
First time at this restaurant , went for a quick meal before a concert. Superior food, friendly fast service, knowledgeable staff. Definitely keep it in mind for the future.
Great dinner, and the kitchen was eager to substitute for a side that I did not want.
Very nice first time experience. Great good, nice atmosphere. Plenty of tables filled on a Monday night.
Dinner at Bar Zin was better than ever! To start with, our server, Lyndsey, was so pleasant and efficient! We were participating in Restaurant Week and the selections were perfect for both me as well as my husband, who has a gluten allergy. We each had a glass of wine, followed by excellent appetizers, entrees and desserts. My husband raved about his flounder entree and said it was one of the best he has ever had. My steak frites was cooked to perfection, as hanger steak should be, quite rare and delicious. We both ordered decaf cappuccinos to accompany our desserts. The meals was definitely a memorable one!
Enjoyed our date night during Restaurant Week '19, both had steak frites from the prix fixe menu, the frites were more mundane than we anticipated leaving us kinda disappointed but appetizers and desserts were home runs. Overall nice dinner in pleasant atmosphere.
Absolutely. It is one of the more dependable dining spots in our area. My comment on noise level is I am hearing Impaired and My hearing aids pick up a lot of extraneous table conversation and probably would not bother Most patrons. It certainly would not inhibit our returning again and again.....WJS
We went during restaurant week, which is usually a mistake. But we had a wonderful time. Food was great, I had the hangar steak, himself the stuffed flounder. The salad tasted as good as it looked and it was compliments of the house as there was a minor issue with one of the appetizers. An issue we hadn’t even noticed. The service was great but not intrusive. It’s really a lovely place on the south end of Amelia island. Worth the drive if you’re in JAX or elsewhere. I highly recommend you check it out.
I was disappointed at the bar seating- since I was dining alone I was seated at the end of the bar right next to the servers station. Food was great .
Always our go to place. Close, great food and service.
BarZin never disappoints. Consistent quality and great service
Always excellent food and service. Try the bbq chicken with gnocchi mac and cheese, the scallops, the carbonara, filet. They are all delicious. One of our favorite restaurants.
Terrific Restaurant Week menu, recommend the flounder or BBQ chicken! Thanks to Toni for a great wine suggestion! Macey made sure everything else was perfect. Oh, and desserts were awesome.
Adam was excellent. Food was amazing and above par! Saddened to be without cream Brulé but the alternatives were great! Truly appreciated the hand polished glassware. Looking forward to our next visit!
We went for the 2019 Restaurant Week specials. The food and service were the best in memory, anyplace.
The waitress was very good and the value for the food was excellent.( restaurant week).
Our meals at Bar Zin have been very good. They are reasonably priced and have a good combination of flavors. Special house salad with pears was excellent. Entrees were very good, but my wife is sensitive to salt application and felt her flounder was a bit too salty. My shrimp and crawfish entree was delicious,. The dessert, a creme brûlée was fantastic and wines were very good, and I appreciate our waiter steering me toward a more hearty pinot noir.
Food was excellent. It was very quiet when we arrived, but once the place filled up it was a little bit noisy. Not from music, just customer conversations.
Excellent server and service! Great ambience, meal and wine.
Wonderful creative meal:Sophisticated, interesting and delicious! Great service by Dillon. In short: a great dining experience.
The dinner was very good as usual and the wine list had been updated offering some new selections. The menu has limitations, but is an excellent choice to have a good meal in quiet surroundings with attentive wait staff.
I've eaten at Bar Zin many times and I always enjoy my meal. I love their roast beet salad with added chicken. You can add shrimp or oysters too. The fried green tomato trio is great. My husband really likes their burgers and truffle fries.
Don’t miss Bar Zin! A welcoming, friendly staff serves excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere.
All four of us loved the food and lovely ambiance.
We were a party of 6 on NYE. The regular menu was not available. That would have been nice to know (nothing was mentioned on the website) Between the 6 of us, only one person enjoyed their meal. For the rest of us, the food was very bland and not cooked to the requested temperature. One meal was not even edible and was comped. Very disappointing for the money spent.
We like Bar Zin and have dined there many times. We were looking forward to an early, enjoyable New Years Eve supper but were very disappointed. The service and ambiance were good. We ordered a bottle of Copola Pinot Noir but were presented with an entirely different Labeled wine and told it was the same. We changed to a bottle of Meiomi. The Menu was very different from what we saw on the website. We were told it was "special" for New year Eve. I had escargot, a small serving of three on marrow in a veal bone??? It was OK. For our main course My wife had Veal Cheek Shephards Pie and I had Duck; neither were very tasty and my duck was tough. This is not the normal cuisine served at Bar Zin. We will try it again but it was not a good value supper.
