Bar Zin Bistro Wine Bar
Authentic Southern cuisine, excellent wine list, very comfy place, good for conversation, celebration
Outstanding as usual
Our server Brian was excellent. The food as always was very good.
Everything about this restaurant was excellent! My husband and I had the special which was Dover sole. It was delicious, and the blackberry peach cobbler was the best way to top off the evening. Our
waiter was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely dine here when we visit Amelia Island again.
This was our first time dining here. We had the charcuterie (very generous portions) as a starter and a very nice glass of wine. They only have beer and wine here so take note 📝. Our waitress was a great help and steered us in the right direction for our main course selections and we throughly enjoyed them. The waitress and the manager made sure we were well taken care of. It was a quiet evening at the restaurant but it was a quiet time on the island as a whole (between spring breaks and Easter week). Parking was easy but if the restaurants in this quaint shopping area are crowded, I’m sure it could get a bit difficult. We will be back.
This is a hidden gem. Our experience started as soon as we arrived- we were a few minutes late, but they had our table ready to go for us! The wait staff was fabulous. The food was so delicious. If we are ever in the area again we will for sure be returning!
Great food! I had the swordfish special which was out of this world. Others at my table had similar reactions to their entrees. Our server was very helpful - attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere is nice - nothing special , but more than okay. I would definitely recommend the place!!
Service and food are always at the top for an interesting blend of ambience and good cheer.
We haven’t been to Fernandina for two years . We always ate at Bar Zin and so we wanted to go back. The food was as great as it always was and still a friendly place. The is a Must and not just one time. Lunch is very good too
Our waitress Elixabeth was very knowledgeable of menu and we found out she had just started , so impressed with restaurant we went to there sister restaurant Cucina South the next night , she was working there that night, food at both restaurants fantastic!
Always enjoy our dining experience at Bar Zin and the food and wine selections are spot on and have great variety. The wait staff is attentive but will let you dally and enjoy your wine and companions too. Highly recommended and cannot say enough about their short rib onion soup - it is a meal all by itself and I don't think I can order it too often.
Food was great and the service was excellent.
i am ruined for any other onion soup after Bar Zin's. Wife LOVED the ahi appetizer. both entrees were gorgeous and we finished with root beer float cake that my wife is still talking about 2 days later. cant wait to try the chicken thighs and gnocchi mac and cheese
Outstanding as usual. We are regular visitors to Amelia Island and frequent most of the nicer restaurants. Bar Zin is among our favorites. They always prepare their offerings with the greatest of care and they are top notch. The Burgers are wonderful and reasonably priced. We appreciate their consistency and highly recommend them.
Excellent meal and service. Enjoyable evening
One of my favorites on island. Hits all the important notes, atmosphere, food, and wine. Definitely a good date night place.
The food was very good. We had delicious spring rolls with chili sauce, fabulous country French salads, a shrimp flatbread and mussels. Only negative was that we felt quite rushed. Staff was hovering as if they were anxious to end the evening.
My wife is Gluten Free (not a lifestyle choice). This can be tricky. There were only a few items that she had to avoid on the menu. This was a surprise and the Brian (waiter) and the hostess were very knowledgeable about the GF options. excellent service and dining experience.
Excellent food and service Spores iatrogenic attention for gluten free options
Recommended by a friend of a friend...Bar Zin was the perfect place for a special celebration of old friends celebrating a special birthday. Food was outstanding! service amazing. A definite go to bistro!
Excellent food and ambiance. Decor is lovely. Only complaint was that the waiter failed to offer dessert.
Always a fantastic experience and the food and wine options superb.
Delicious hot bread! The salmon was cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce! Great food!
Very interesting menu. Service was awesome.
Great food as usual.. They had a set menu due to an event in town - so menu was smaller but food was top notch again.
Excellent food and service. The ambiance would be better if the lighting was softer. Very attentive wait staff! The dinner rolls are delightful!
Wonderful evening at Barzin... we were a Party of Seven and “Everyone” had great appetizers and meals...! Barzin always delivers... Food, Service, Atmosphere. One of our Favorite Local Restaurants...!
So sorry I failed to get our Server’s Name... she was outstanding...! Thank you All... another excellent evening...!
We took our friends out for dinner and once again, everything was over the top!! Keep doing what you do!!! Incredible!
our go to restaurant when we are in Amelia Island. Fantastic service, great food and wonderful wines.
Great, casual dining. Good food selection and service.
Service ways excellent, food much better than expected,
Really enjoyed the evening. I even enjoyed our personable server. It was a little noisy but it was the weekend of the Concourse and the enthusiasm spilled over. Not a bad thing.
This is a true “neighborhood gem”. We were pleased to find this wonderful restaurant on Amelia Island. The food was delicious starting with our French Country salad. We followed that with our expertly prepared entrees.
Our server was very attentive and friendly. We left feeling that we had discovered a real gem and will definitely return.
Best salmon I’ve had in a while. Their Monday night prime rib special is amazing
Our server was a young girl and did an impeccable job of taking care of us. She was extremely confident and capable. My husband and I asked questions regarding the appetizers and entrees and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite of what we ordered.
We enjoyed wine from Williamette Valley, our favorite area for Pinot noir. For appetizers, we chose the cheese plate and shrimp in spring roll wrappers and the tuna appetizer.
For our entrees, my husband had the catch of the day, which was swordfish. I had the scallop entree. Both absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared.
It was our first visit in a bit it was an unexpected surprise to see a change in the menu. We will be back again soon!
The food was very good. The section we were in was VERY loud. The server could have been a little more attentive.
Unfortunately, poor food overshadowed fairly good atmosphere and pleasant (albeit slow) service. Dishes poor in their composition, lacking flavor. The flounder and swordfish (special) were prepared well but with flavorless, or even worse, poor tasting accompaniments. Portions were small to medium. The appetizers, truffle fries and fried green tomatoes, were in contradistinction, excellent and flavorful. I hope our experience was an anomaly, as we had heard good things about the restaurant prior to going.
Had a wonderful dinner Wednesday night. Was pleasantly surprised that they have a new menu. Our party of three all had different entrees and they were excellent.
Had a great dinner with a buddy of mine, food was great, service was excellent and very nice. Will definitely be returning.
