Our reservation was at 5pm and the restaurant was empty. We were given a cute corner table in the rear for the 3 of us. The wait staff were attentive all evening and were very knowledgeable about the ingredients in the menu items. We shared the mushroom pie, lamb chops and the board of grilled veggies. The flavors were amazing in all of the dishes. For dessert we split the honey cake (side of ice cream with this is spectacular) and the baklava. Both were delicious! Would absolutely come again.

It's a treat to have a restaurant representing a different geographical area of Greece and the food was interesting and tasty, as expected. However, portions are quite small (think tapas) and prices are quite high (think a la carte). For the price, one would imagine that a piece of fish would come with at least one side. Similarly one would imagine that menu items listen as "spreads" would come with something to spread it on! That was not the case. You need to order bread to go with the "spread". It would have been more appropriate to list the item as "sauce". Generally speaking, everything we ordered was delicious and enjoyable; however, it was the dining-out experience we anticipated.

Amazing food - one of the best in Boston area! Really loved the tastes, authentic (I am Greek) and playful! We were there for brunch - if I were to choose my favourite dish, this would be the Tsoureki! Saganaki was a close one!

The staff was great. The atmosphere was fine, although the A/C unit had a minor drip onto our table. The food was very different. It was good overall. The eggplant spread was amazing! The bread was great. Grilled pork was excellent. The lamb led was overcooked and a bit dry. Not a cheap eat for sure. Up'd the review for positive initial response from venue.

Very authentic Greek food, just like my yiayia's home cooked dinners! Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Strongly recommend the horiatiki (salad) and paidakia (lamb chops). Can't wait to go back and feel like I'm home in Greece

Really quality food and well thought-out and constructed menu. Our Waiter Jorge went above and beyond as did the host at the door as he accompanied a table switch. Everything rife with flavor and finesse! Highly recommend! Hope this new joint stays around for awhile...

We had heard so much about Bar Vlaha from friends - Greek friends in particular. Wondering if it was an off night , meaning good but not spectacular - you know one that says “Wow” or it’s me and my high bar and personal level of cooking. Where we sat: Chef’s Table which we enjoyed over the regular indoor seating in this restaurant . What we ordered: Bread - sourdough whole wheat ( wish they had fabulous house made pita. D Tzatziki : too lemony - it took over the taste. Salad: Delicious ripe tomatoes , a nice slice of feta , onions, cucumbers. Classic and tasty. Pork & Leeks: we were not a fan. It was over weekend by the lemon. Yes, I’m aware of the dish, and the fact that lemon is used but it was far too much as it dominated everything. Seeing the dish was mostly remaining the server without asking removed from the bill. Now that’s great customer service! Roasted chicken with a pickled salad side. Good but not fantastic or that memorable ( have to admit seeing it served to others first made me want to order). Took a small piece to go that was left- the barely touched salad was missing ) Dessert: We didn’t love our shared dessert with mastic IceCream. Knowing that the wonderful server treated us to an olive oil IceCream.Delis ious.Now that was the way to end the meal! Bar Vlaha is in our hometown, near by. We will try one more time sometime in the near future to see if on a second dine the level of taste improves. Good is good but very good is better.

We've been to Bar Vlaha several times and very much like the food, service and atmosphere. We went to Brunch yesterday which was their first weekend serving Brunch and I am hopeful that is why the food was not up to their usual standards. We shared a loukanica wrapped in pastry- the sausage was excellent, the pastry was doughy and did NOT add to the taste. My husband had the scrambled eggs with mushrooms, tomatoes and truffles with a salad- the dish came without tomatoes and truffles and no dressing on the salad which was disappointing to say the least. My meal was okay but the roasted lamb had some overcooked pieces. The bartender/waiter was very responsive and didn't charge us for my husband's meal. BTW, the drink was delicious!! My hope is that this is a glitch in their generally excellent service and food as we have really enjoyed dining there previously.

The staff there was great! I didn’t love my Bloody Mary cocktail and they removed it off my bill without asking and they asked for feedback on how to improve to make it better for next time! They were very attentive! The meal itself was delicious!

This is the best brunch in Boston - and maybe the best brunch I’ve ever had…. And i basically have a PhD in brunch. This is an absolutely unmissable experience. It’s everything you want out of a brunch experience, but wholey unique and unlike anything else in the city. Go - order everything, and then go again. Do NOT miss the cocktail program either - say hi to me while you’re there. I live there now.

We didn’t know we were booking on the first day Bar Vlaha offered brunch - you’d never know. The menu was perfect - plenty of diverse choices. The food was magnificent. The wait staff has tried everything so was able to offer recommendations. The Tost was our favorite - so simple and so VERY delicious. Thank you, Christopher for your thoughts on the menu and for your friendly, attentive service. The Shakshuka was very, very good - beautifully seasoned and not spicy. The Vlaha Bloody Mary was similarly well seasoned and peppery without a lot of heat. Just a delightful experience in every way - you knew you were in the hands of experts and that made it relaxed and delicious.

We loved this restaurant. It is a nice addition to the area to have a Greek restaurant, and there were lots of unique dishes like the braised rabbit and excellent marinaded beef, chicken, lamb and pork plates. There were so many good appetizers, and special cheeses and yogurts to add to their breads, we couldn't try them all. As someone who doesn't drink, I really appreciated the mocktails. The service was also fantastic. I definitely recommend this place!

This has become my favorite restaurant in the Boston area due to its consistently excellent food and service. Personal favorites are the zucchini & feta fritters, grilled rainbow trout and the pork shoulder in white wine. Very interesting wine list that pairs wonderfully with the food and the servers are very knowledgeable, will guide you towards the right choice.

One of the best dining experiences that we have in Boston. We have been 3 times in the last 3 months now because we have wanted to bring so many family and friends after our first visit. I write this as a Greek person whose family comes from the Vlach region. Best stifado I have ever eaten! Seriously perfect. The keratopita (meat pie, a special) was under seasoned but not bad. Excellent service from Maria at the chef’s table.

We celebrated a birthday here. Ambiance great. A true experience with northern Greek food. It made me want to travel to Greece next year. Service level also was outstanding. It was a busy night but our server was very attentive. Took her time to give us the history of each dish. So many food options, we will definitely come back!

Suddenly Greek food became my fav !! Love this place so much !! Food were great. Service was on point. Jorge was very helpful. He will definitely spend his time guide you through the whole menu, Impressive!! We got a lot of food. The bill was reasonable for me.
