Second time at Bar Verona. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. We will be back!
Casey and his staff are doing a great job of making step improvemennts in all aspects of food and service. Keep up the good work. Pastas are incredible!
Amazing food, our waitress was very attentive and had great recommendations, the cocktails were also great!
Great new local restaurant. The meatballs are outstanding! Cheesecske is delicious! We've eaten here four times now trying a variety of dishes. Everything is very good although many dishes need a little extra flavor including salt like the calamari, pasta dishes, and arancini. The chicken marsala was very good but was a little skimoy on the chicken. Pizzas are good as well. Service is very good whether at a table or at the bar.
It's so noisy that it's hard to hear the server or carry on a conversation. My husband was underwhelmed by the Antipasti, our friend said the Verona pizza was OK and my rigatoni carbonara had good flavor but was swimming in a heavy sauce. On the plus side, our friend asked for affogato, which was not on the menu, and the server delivered it.
For our first dinner here, our party of 6 shared a sumptuous variety of wonderfully flavored appetizers and main dishes. The fried calamari & tempura zucchini ahead of time were delicious, as were Fabio’s meatballs.
But the real highlights were the main courses: from the Italian specials (such as Giuseppe’s Campanelle and Chicken Marsala) to the equally excellent other fare (white fish with spicy cauliflower & carrot purée and NY strip cooked perfectly medium rare with Brussel sprouts & bacon). Yum, yum, and yum!!! We’ll go back soon.
Oh, yes, the craft drinks and wines and shared dessert were equally deelish!
I just as a bit disappointed in the evening. We had a 7:16 reservation and were seated well after 7:30. Our waiter was good, courteous and helpful. The food in my opinion was overpriced. We ordered an antipasto board for one of the appetizers, it had four thin slices of salami, four thin slices of spicy salami, a tablespoon of pickled eggplant, 3tiny wedges of cheese and five burnt beyond pieces of grilled bread. Price $26. My homemade spaghetti and meatball noodles were over cooked and done clumped together in a pasta mess. My daughter didn’t like her meal gnocchi with truffle sauce said it was too peppery, switched with her dad who had lasagna had the same complaint. The meatballs were good, light. Best food of the evening the homemade bread and focaccia. Not sure we’ll go back. We all actually prefer Carrabas which is a chain but has delicious food. Also Bigalora beats this restaurant hands down.
The noise level is totally unacceptable
Food and service really do not matter, when you can not enjoy yourself
Please do not waste you’re money to leave with a headache
Disappointing,because could have great potential
Food was great.
Food was very good, but the portions are pretty small relative to price. Need to increase their portions or lower prices in my opinion. Also, service was slow, but that may be just because they are newly opened.
The food was very good and the atmosphere was busy but you could still hear one another. I felt like we were constantly being rushed. Our server was young and friendly, but she seemed very anxious to turn the table over and kept wanting to remove plates that we were still working on (forks in our hands). It might be good to work on some training. Also it might have been nice (especially for a newer restaurant) to have the manager (who was highly visible) come by and ask how the food was or thank people for coming in.
Overall good food and drinks. the only things that semi annoyed me was that the restaurant had no way to muzzle the sound to not have a large echo so everyone had to yell to hear one another. also we made a reservation and they didn’t have a table ready for us which made me question why the reservation was necessary in the first place if they just served us in a first come first serve basis
Food was delish.
Service was lacking.
I will return!!
Service was great. Wait staff was friendly and fast. Food was delicious.
Thanks for the great 5 start review! We will see you back soon.
the first time we went it was fantastic! This time no so much.
We enjoyed our visit to Bar Verona. The real winning items of the evening were the entrees - they were super yummy. The appetizers were good, but a little clunky. Desserts were fine. The wine list is fairly small, and the cocktails we had were well made, but the featured cocktails were a bit odd. 2 items were conspicuously missing from the cocktail menu - Negroni, and Aperol Spritz - both basically the national cocktails of Italy. Service was open and friendly. The atmosphere felt a little bit like an upscale Applebees, especially with the odd service drive location. Also, there is no need for TVs in a nice restaurant! But it was clean, and friendly. Overall, it's a young restaurant trying to find it's legs. The attached name of Fabio brings people in, but also over-promises. Still, we all agreed we would go back again.
I think the place has been open for about a month. Our hostess was not the most friendly person; but, our waiter more than made up for her with his enthusiasm. He also had good recommendations on food choices, which we appreciated. The restaurant seemed more upscale than it was as Carino's --- the food certainly was a step higher. The pricing was in line with other restaurants of similar quality --- although $15 for a martini seemed a bit much. We will definitely return after the place has been open for a while longer for a second look.
Most dishes did not include a vegetable or side salad. Meat and pasta alone are not a complete meal. The kids meals were overpriced at $9 for spaghetti with no vegetable.
Place was great but the room we were in was deafening. We were told the are working on it.
Great pastas, salads and foccacia. Honored our reservation on time. Excellent service. Noisy but manager said they were working on it. Only Italian wines by the glass and the wine glasses themselves were a negative. Overall, going back!
Hi Mike- Thanks for your comments! We are in the process of expanding our beverage selection, and you should see more of a variety within the next few weeks. We look forward to you having a 5 star experience when you come back!
My new favorite restaurant. Great food and service.
Hi Christina- We're so happy to be your new favorite! Come back soon!
Very loud restaurant even when few people were present due to design of building. When we asked to be moved to a more quiet area, manage told us it was not possible since the enclosed large room which was far more quiet had been reserved for a large party later. Service was poor and at one point we asked manager for assistance. Food was OK. Spaghetti and meatballs was best dish with abundant meatballs and a hint of spice to the sauce. Lasagna had a presentation that made it seem like it have been just made in a cast iron single serve dish but dish was stone cold, entre had only been transferred to the dish. Lasagna was heavy tomato sauce which over powered the dish. Presentation made the portion look much smaller than it was. Pasta with shrimp was served with a lemon butter sauce separated and greasy since it had been too long underneath the heat lamp with the 5 very small shrimp lost in all of the pasta. This dish had lots of potential but got lost in the final interpretation. Tuna appetizer was excellent but served with potato chips?
This was our second time dining at Bar Verona, and it was even better than the first time. The service, food and drinks were exceptional. It’s great for big families, tables of 6 and wonderful oversized booths. The decor, open concept and atmosphere contributes to making this our new favorite spot for dining! I am so excited that I found a restaurant that everyone in my family can enjoy!
The food was very good.
The service was very good.
The dining was MUCH TOO LOUD for a normal conversation.
Hi Bill- We are in the process of working on the volume of the overall restaurant. I thank you for your comments and look forward to having you back!
Amazing food, amazing staff, and they are the best I have seen when it comes to dealing with food allergies!! They make sure they are confident that all the food will be safe. Hands down one of the best places I have been !
Thanks for your review! We are proud to be completely nut free, and we work very hard to create options for all guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions. Our culinary team can do some pretty amazing things so that all guests can have a delicious meal that adheres to their specific needs!
Food and service was great
Hi Cindy- Thanks for visiting us! We'll see you again soon!
Very good drinks, tuna appetizer was AMAZING, steak ok
Very noisy. Food was very slow to be served.
Celebrated a birthday and the staff went out of their way for us. Everyone was professional and friendly. Didn’t see a vegetarian dish I liked, so Chef Fabio made a special dish for me. Toni was an excellent server too. Loved it!
Hi Krys- I'm glad to hear that you had a great birthday celebration with us! We can work with most dietary restrictions or preferences, and I'm happy that you loved your dish! We'll see you soon!
Food is very tasty but quantities do not match the inflated prices. It is well decorated. If you like a noisy restaurant that is so loud that normal conversation is out of the question then you'll love Bar Verona. They first need to fix the noise......major issue!!! Then (we all had pasta) they need to reconsider their portion size given the higher prices they are charging. The taste is great but not worth the headache dealing with the noise issue.
Great food, great service, great vibe
Great family experience! Fabulous food and craft drinks!
Thanks for your review! We look forward to having you back!
We stayed seated at bar for dinner. Excellent service. Meatballs are the best I ever had. Great menu choices and overall a fantastic experience. Will be back!!
Hi- Thanks for the 5 star review! I'm happy to hear that you had a fantastic experience, and we look forward to welcoming you back again! Thanks- Nicole
Way too noisy! No healthy or vegetarian options
NO multi grain or whole what options
Hi- I apologize for the noise. We are working on a solution and you should hear a difference during your next visit. We are able to work with most guests with dietary restrictions, allergies or preferences. Please, let your server know of your needs and our culinary team will be happy to create a dish just for you! Thanks- Nicole
It was our first time at this restaurant. It has a very nice bar but unfortunately the rest of the seating isn’t very comfortable. On one side of the bar it almost looks like community seating with a bunch of high top tables shoved together. You are practically sitting with the people next to you. There were several booths but none were available .On the other side of the bar which is where we sat had about 5 rectangular high top tables against the wall. These are in clear view of the open kitchen. Not only do you see the kitchen but you hear all the yelling and dish clanging. Wasn’t very relaxing. I had the salmon which was very good. My husband ordered pasta bolonese which was nothing more than mediocre meat sauce which didn’t even look that appetizing. The bread looked good but was cold and dry. Didn’t come with dipping oil or butter. The wait staff and the manager were all very nice. Service was good. The cheapest bottle of wine was $40 and then jumped to $60. For a fairly pricey restaurant the atmosphere wasn’t great. We won’t be going back.
Good evening- Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you weren't able to have a relaxing dinner with us. We are excited to offer our guests a look into the kitchen, and often have requests for that area. I can understand, however, that it might not be for everyone. I am sorry to hear that you won't be coming back, but if you do change your mind, please reach out to me directly at the restaurant and I'll make sure to find you more comfortable seating. Thanks- Nicole
Our second visit and both times it was outstanding. Good food, great service, nice atmosphere enjoyed the #1 cocktail . Happy to have an enjoyable local option for dining
Hi Thomas- Happy to hear that you're already a regular! We look forward to many future visits!
Food is very average, if not below. It’s really overpriced for what you get. I ordered a shrimp and noodle dish, and it came with four small shrimp. Noodles were just okay, not really flavorful, especially for an Italian joint. They need to up their food game if they expect to survive.
Hi Nas- I'm sorry that you didn't find our Orecchiette filling and delicious. We try very hard to provide exceptional food from our scratch made noodles to our savory sauces, and I'm sorry that we missed the mark in your case. We hope you give us a try again soon- Nicole
Food wonderful. I am Italian and very particular. This met my expectations. Service very good. Caesars salad more authentic than most places. Bolognese very special and Orreciate pasta with shrimp and asparagus, light sauce was terrific. So flavorful. Minestrone different warning it’s Spicy. Look forward to trying other items on the menu. Highly recommend.
Thanks for your excellent 5 star review! I am so happy to hear that you recommend us and will be back to try other items soon. The Chicken Marsala is my favorite! We'll see you soon!
Delicious food, shareable portions, reasonable prices. Will be back.
Thanks Layla! We hope to see you back soon!
The food and atmosphere was very nice and the employees were very friendly. The food was fabulous and we highly recommend the lasagna.
Our only complaint was the noise level, but it wont stop us from being back.
Hi Holly-Thanks for your review. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We are in the process of addressing the volume in the restaurant, and hope that you notice a difference during your next visit.
