Our server Mac was amazing! She was checking on us all the time and making sure we were doing good with food and drinks. She also recommended the Guacamole and tequila.
Food was delicious and drinks were delicious!!
I was so excited to try this place since I walk by it often. This reservation was extremely dissapointing. I had friends visiting from out of town and we wanted a fun brunch experience before they left the city. The portion sizes are an absolute joke for the price. We ordered some appetizers for the table and they were only enough for one person. The tacos and meals are so small it's like they are made for babies. Food is overpriced and there were only two servers for the entire restaurant. Very disappointing.
Would not recommend it anytime soon.
This was our 3rd time to Bar Takito and we have experienced that the vegetarian options are limited and the food is pricey for what you get.
Seriously great food with even better service
Drinks are good and look gorgeous but not a long of bang for buck. Small portions and service was a bit slow. Would've stayed for another drink if it had been a bit faster.
Everything was great! The chilaquiles were amazing and the Arepas Benedict were delicious! The only thing was I got a hair in my water. I returned the water but everything else was great. The hair in my water really bummed me out but it was an overall great experience.
Trendy restaurant that seems to have lots of patrons but serves absolutely terrible food. Drenched in oil, no flavor. Even the mojito left something to be desired and was more soda than alcohol.
Staff was really nice. We were still given the brunch menu after 3pm which was very nice and appreciated, since we got there a bit before brunch ended.
Came in for brunch on a Saturday and got seated outside an hour after my reservation time & when it started raining they didnt offer to put umbrellas & didn’t have anything available inside so we couldn’t even order food bc it started raining.
First time but will definitely be returning!! Watermelon margarita was EVERYTHING
Went for brunch and ordered chips and guac and chilaquiles. Food was average. Ordered the glass full of diamonds, watermelon marg and coconut marg for drinks and all were great! Coconut was my fave!
Food wasn’t the biggest portions and was cold, I was still hungry afterwards. But the service was great loved the bottom less mimosas as well as when they started playing bad bunny it was a good vibe. 🤙
Too much for the quality of
The food was just ok and definitely not enough for the price. We ordered French toast. It came with nothing else and it was only two slices. So needless to say I was still hungry. The ambiance was cool and the service was good, but I probably won’t be back.
Great food and ambiance!
Very cute aesthetic, would recommend! Good drinks and food
I couldn’t help but laugh when the coaster sized tacos came out to the table. My biggest takeaway: don’t come hungry because these portions, at these prices, laughable. Could probably have their own Netflix original because of how humorous it is. Prices are, well to be nice, steep for the portion sizes. Just make you come with 2 things full: your stomach, and your wallet. However, the wait staff was great & our drinks were well made.
We had a blast! Service was impeccable...Mac. The margaritas were very good. We sampled a bunch of different dishes. The restaurant was exciting and loud with a fun crowd. We were just so grateful to have the exceptional service after this weird year. Cheers!
We really enjoyed the cocktails, especially the Mouthful
Perfect day and place to meet your significant other for Taco Tuesday. Great service, good cocktails and tasty bites with Latin flair.
The $15 bottomless mimosas were as expected, made with cheap sparkling wine, so don't drink too much. Other than that, I have to say this was by far one of the worst brunches I've had. The service was fine although it felt very short staffed. The food was just not good. My food wasn't seasoned and my omlette barely had anything other than egg. When I asked for salt and pepper, I got course salt and pepper that looked like it was meant for a grinder, so I wasn't able to use it. My BF said his food, arepa benedict, was extremly salty but that it didn't seem to have any seasoning other than salt. The cerviche was disappointing. Not only was it barely enough to share for two, but it just wasn't good nor did it taste like cerviche.
Food size super small and the service was rushing you out the door. Never really checked on us.
Bartender was amazing! I think her name was Alyssa
Drinks and food ordered were great. The only minus, we sat outside. Our table was on a slant, I was waiting for the items on our table to all slide off.,I understand that the sidewalk slants, but wished they had put wood or something to make the table even. The manager was apologetic. We will be back.
Mediocre food and horrible service. COVID 19 is used as an excuse of reduced menu. Do not bother to ask a waiter any info regarding the dishes on the menu, they have no clue. We had to ask for a fork three times before the waiter finally remembered to bring it. It used to be a good place for drinks and decent food, not anymore.
The GM was very nice
I went here with my friend for a quick drink on my birthday. The atmosphere is very lively and it's such a fun place to socialize. I got the strawberry margarita and it was pretty strong (which I liked). Their tacos are pretty small but taste really good! Our waiter was very sweet and she checked up on us constantly,
Server was not pleasant forgot to acknowledge surprise birthday celebration. Her attitude impacted our time out. No desserts. Prefer other locations
Food and drinks were below average.
great food and great ambiance! Had a great time..
One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! Love the food- my favorite is their dinner item steak arepa. You MUST have the cucumber margarita and their GUAC! I really enjoy the atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. I will continue to bring people here
Amazing!! Delicious food and great service. I would recommend the chilaquiles and getting tacos for the table to share 😍
First time at Bar Takito & I cannot say enough about what a great experience it was! If I could give more than 5 stars I would, from the friendliness of the staff to the delicious food!!! I will definitely be back and have already told friends about what an amazing place this is!!
thank you to the amazing staff on 5/4/21!
taco Tuesday’s are fantastic! Half of tacos and margs! Excellent service.
We ordered the 'shrimp ceviche' which was terrible, it seemed that they put some frozen shrimp in the microwave and make it a 'ceviche'. Drinks were pretty average and came out almost when we were finishing our meals
Great brunch deals!
My experience was phenomenal!!! The restaurant was so accommodating and I truly appreciated that.
We had a great time at Bar Takito but it was lacking in a few ways. I liked my arepa benedict. The tacos were smaller than expected but tasty. The bottomless mimosas were great but they cut our time short to 60 minutes instead of the 90 minutes stated on the menu because it turned 3:00pm. We asked if we could get another drink or something to compensate for the missing 30 minutes we paid for but our server said no. It was hard to get our server's attention throughout. When we were served our food, we didn't have any cuttery or napkins and weren't offered hot sauce until we nearly finished our food. Not great in terms of service overall. I would maybe recommend bar takito to a friend but would let them know not to expect much in terms of service.
