   Can’t recommend this place enough! Our favourite place in Vancouver for any kind of celebration. Food is just mind blowing, coming every other month the menu changes and it’s keeps us on toes. Big shoutout to Gavin, who helps us with selection of drinks and foods every time, he knows his business. Every time we are like whaaat. My partner used to hate certain foods and this place completely changed our perception. Love love love. Thank you!

   We did not realise if you wanted to eat a la Carte , the menu was too limited . The waiter was so gracious about us having to find elsewhere to eat because of that . We so appreciated that !! Thank you .

   Came in at 5:30pm with a reso. Just found out they had a happy hour! Had a few light dishes paired with some bubbles to start. So good. Had the Waldorf salad, had it with some bubbles then had the puszta libre, Incredible cherry notes. So yummy! Really outstanding coppa steak, paired with the Veneto Rosso Merlot. Amazing. Ended with the chocolate cake with some fernet hunter BC - OMG. WOW. Thank you to Gavin for the recommendations!

   Food and Service were delightful, we had the baker's Tasting Menu, and all the different courses served were well thought and balanced in flavor. It was a wonderful night.

   Bar Susu has a nice ambience and decent service, but the food was disappointing. Most dishes were overly salty and lacked balance in flavor. For the price, the portions felt small, and the taste didn’t justify the cost. While the atmosphere is enjoyable, I wouldn’t return for the food. Might be worth a visit for drinks, but not for a full dining experience.

   We got their dine out menu and it was great!! For sure would recommend Bar Susu if you are hoping to take your significant out for a fancy and great dinner.

    We tried their DineOut menu. The appetizers- bread, and beef tartare and hamachi were really delicious! However, the flavours of the entrees were a miss for me. We had the pork shoulder and the fish. The pork shoulder was cooked medium rare, which was not something we were used to- the meat was rather chewy. Personally, I think that cooking it through would have tasted much better. The flavors of the fish did not meld together well- each component of the dish seemed to have its own intense flavors- they didn't seem to complement each other. It felt like it needed a side dish or bedding of mashed potatoes or rice/risotto to complement it. The dessert was a bit underwhelming. The mousse was oddly warm. Appreciated the deep chocolate tones, but it did not standout too much. This is likely a good place to go for appetizers instead of a meal at fine dining price. We were also disappointed at their service. We reserved the booking with standard seating at least a week ahead and confirmed our booking. When we arrived, we were told they were preparing a table for us. However, they then gave us a seat by the door next to the bar- which was available from the start. I had to speak up regarding our booking for standard seating. This fall shorts of fine dining service and further discounted our dining experience. This place definitely will not be my first choice to revisit anytime soon.
