Always a lovely evening at Bar Solita.

Disappointed. We were looking forward to our first visit to Bar Solita, based on the reviews. They were not busy at all when we dined on a Thursday night at 6:30. Everything was fine except for the food. The tapas meatballs had no flavor - none. Tuna bites were overcooked. Falafel had very little taste, and fried outside was too hard. Brussels sprouts and the spiced feta were the best dishes. Was really expecting better food.

It was such a great evening and the service was good for our large party. Food was excellent and the staff were accommodating for our needs.

Nanna was an excellent server! So sweet and attentive. She facilitated a wonderful brunch experience. The drinks and food were wonderful!

So, the food was great. Building was very cool. Our waitress was great and food was delivered quickly. Only problem I had was the fact that there was a waitress there with a see through black shirt with no bra. That was fun having my three kids there. One of which was a fascinated 4 year old. :/ Not sure why management allowed that, but it was what it was.

The food here is AWESOME!! It’s definitely a fun twist on food. We went for brunch and the drinks are great, they have good options for a more bottomless type brunch as well. The sweet potato and ricotta pizza sounds odd but it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! Also the crepes are DELISH! We had a server who said it was her first day and she did so well, we would not have known she just started had she not told us.

Great food a little loud but it is a bar. We had chicken Marsala a meat and cheese board salad and were surprised at how good the food was. Have already said we trying this place again.

Hate to say this, but the food/drink is not worth the price. They would really need to elevate the fare to justify charging what they do. They also apparently do a disco Sunday brunch with a DJ. It was very loud and hard to hear.

Excellent brunch spot! The DJ was so good and we all had stuck a tough time deciding on food because everything looked incredible. Our choices didn't disappoint!

I had been wanting to try this place for some time. We finally went with another couple. The menu looked amazing. It was hard to decide what to try because there were numerous small plates and entrees that were interesting.

We ordered cocktails and empanadas. The drinks were good. The broccoli and ricotta empanadas were excellent but we did not care for the pork carnitas one. The pork was lacking flavor and very dry. I was surprised at the blandness. We also ordered the carbonara and the beef medallions. The carbonara was also bland and not much better than a microwave meal quality. The beef medallions were decent. I ordered them medium but received them well done. So there was no pink at all and the meat was a little tough. The mashed potatoes were unremarkable and the brussel spouts were decent. We did not try dessert because the other items were so lackluster so we went to Shyndigs where we know the dessert is worth the calories.

Our server did a great job. No complaints at all for the service. The restaurant is super cute and I liked the vibe. This is why I still gave a 4 star rating. I probably should only have given 3 because the food just did not deliver.

I am definitely the kind of person that will return again and again when I like something. Unfortunately, this was a one and done for me. The problem is that there are so many good places to choose from that my standards have gotten higher. And at $113 for a dinner for 2 (not including tip), I definitely expected a better meal.

Great food selection options. Service was very good. Very busy evening so a little noisy for conversation.

Service was good but our server was stretched to thin. Four servers on a busy brunch is a little light. Overall it was a great experience.

Food was great! All the glassware was dirty though. The cups had lipstick stains and dust on the rim and the plates had food stuck on the bottom. Hair was found in my coffee. Other than the cleanliness, the food and service was excellent!

Our server had a great personality and gave excellent service . Usually younger millennial servers have zero personality and awkward. The food was very delicious and flavorful. I'm definitely going back.

Went for their Valentine's Day special menu for 2. The staff felt very hectic and the food/service was very underwhelming. Our waitress was not attentive or friendly (she straight up ran away before we finished ordering). The food was less appetizing than it's description and came out lukewarm.
I would maybe come back for drinks and an app at the bar, but would not spend money for a meal :/

My husband and I went to Bar Solita to celebrate Valentine’s Day. For a Saturday night, the restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. We arrived a little early prior to our reservation but were seated quickly. The menu has a Mediterranean touch with lots of options. We saw families with kids in the restaurant and it seemed like they had some good options for them (something that we appreciated since we have a 3-year-old at home). Anyway, we put in our drink order and then our food order. We ordered 2 tapas dishes and 2 entrees. We got our drinks fairly quickly but it took awhile to get our food. We hardly saw our server while we were waiting. Once our food came out we were surprised to get our entrees first. We mentioned that we ordered tapas as well and the server who delivered our food apologized and got our tapas disses right away. The tapas dishes we ordered (the spiced feta and the Brussels sprouts) were lukewarm which told us they were probably left under a warmer and forgotten. My husband got the chicken piccata which was good but nothing particularly memorable. I got the shrimp tacos which were very good. Overall the food was good but mediocre. The service was slow but everyone was friendly and courteous. It was a very nice night out but probably won’t go out of our way to go again. I recommend this place if you want to get a drink and some food with friends but be aware you may have to wait a little bit to get your order.

Terrible food for the cost. I would only return for cocktails (or drinks) and an appetizer.

5/10 I would not recommend. The cinnabon was more like bread with icing, literally no cinnamon! Our waitress (Ana? she never even introduced herself) was trash, the drinks were all watered, out actual entrees were great and well seasoned but everything else tarnished our experience.. cute place, should
be a club instead of an eatery

Delicious courses and perfect portion sizes! Beautifully decorated and candles at every table. Food took a little extra long to come out, but it was Valentine's Day so it was understandably very busy and the waitress was attentive and checked on it for us to ensure that it was coming :) Can't wait to go back!

Love this restaurant so much. The tapas is amazing and great drink selections. Cannot recommend enough.

Fixed menu but food still took forever. Ordered steak medium, received very rare meat. sat at a table near an area where wait staff kept going for silverware, really annoying having everyone cut through in between my table and another the entire time we were there. Paid $120 for a meal that was cooked wrong and took an hour to get. Waitress was wearing pajamas basically I guess they dress casual there. Waste of time and money. Restaurant was cool inside though.

This is a beautiful place! Love the vibe here, it’s a nice place for any occasion or just drinks and dinner. We did a double date here for Valentine’s Day dinner with my sister and brother-in-law from out of town and they loved it. We’ll always come back here.

We had such a great Valentines Day experience - all the dishes we tried were great - but the spicy feta was INCREDIBLE!!!

The food, service, and atmosphere were great, it definitely won't be our last visit.

My wife and I celebrated Valentines Day at Bar Solita. We chose to pick from the speial Valentines Menu (it wasn't mandatory, but looked like a good value. The soup was very tasty, although it could have been served hotter. For the appetizer, we chose the Crab-stuffed ravioli to share. That was delicious. For the main course, we both chose the Bistecca (beef filet). That was likewise delicious; however, the food-deliverer gave me my wife's plate (cooked medium) and her my plate (medium rare). We quickly discovered the error and switched plates. (The delivery person asked who got medium and then proceeded to give it to the wrong person.)

The final course was a "chocolate mousse." I put that in quotation marks, because it tasted like it came from a box with "Jello" printed on the front. Yes, it taste like a chocolate pudding mix, and is the reason for the lukewarm rating given above. The first part of the meal was wonderful, but the puddin... er, mousse was a disappointing finish to the meal.

On the personal service side, our server, Katherin, (NOT the person who delivered the entrees) was very attentive to our needs and checked with us several times to ensure that we were enjoying our meal.

Oh, and they have very good coffee.

Great restaurant!!! Food was delicious and the service was great. Loved the European ambience. Definitely will be returning...fo sure.

I have 2 teenage daughters and Bar Solita is Instagram worthy! And the food is excellent! We really enjoyed our experience. I would say the service is a bit slow so make sure you allow plenty of time even if they are not crowded. And we had an issue with the fact that they were out of one of our entrees but didn't tell us until they were bringing the rest of the meals. So my husband had to switch up his meal and then wait for it. We were mostly done when he got his food. They did comp his meal to make up for it. Hopefully that was an anomaly. We plan to go back!

Beyond horrible. Terrible food, terrible service. Drinks took forever. Hummus appetizer took 45 min. When entrees came they were cold and pretty much inedible. When brought to servers attention she almost seemed to bargain with me for "20% off". Manager never visited table.

Great experience and enjoyed the ambiance and friendly prompt service. Good food and beverages! Will go back.

Bar Solita has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants when in the downtown area. The food is very good and the service is quick and efficient - allowing you to get in and out and make your next event. It is very close to area theater venues. Makes a really nice evening to enjoy dinner at Bar Solita and then see a local theater show.

The food was good as always, and the service prompt.

However, this was the 2nd time at Bar Solita where the Open Table reservation was later marked as missed. 4 missed reservations and Open Table blocks you.

The restaurant needs to properly mark patrons as arriving for the reservation. The reason we choose to eat here is the ease of booking a reservation through Open Table.

I reserved my tablet at Bar Solita through OpenTable without issue. We arrived at our appointed time and we're met graciously. We waited just a moment as a table was prepped. We sat and were greeted by the wait staff warmly. We ordered drinks and tapas. These arrived without issue. The tapas were AMAZING. We had also put in our entree order. Shortly after we finished our tapas, our entrees arrived. These were amazing as well. Timing was perfect on everything. I have nothing negative to say about this experience. It's definitely a repeat.
