The First Lady that checked us in at the bottom was very unhelpful and cranky. But the rest of the experience was fantastic.
They do NOT enforce dress code. Touristy and tacky. So disappointing
They were great to us and let us take private pictures on our anniversary
This was my first visit, and not my last! Great cocktails, great food and service! Jean-Marie was our server and she was wonderful! Awesome atmosphere and the view was spectacular!
We celebrated our birthdays at Bar Sixty-five and it was wonderful! The setting was great with wonderful views of the city. The staff was very attentive and gave great service. They even had a little tray of treats to wish us a Happy Birthday when we ordered dessert! Highly recommend!
Loved the views, seeing the sun set was spectacular, great food, and a lovely touch with the birthday cake at the end of our meal, a complete surprise! Thank you
It was a very big let down. Their website has a VERY strict dress code, we got there and people were in uggs and sweat pants, we were dressed to the nine’s as the website instructed. Tons of people just standing around and staring at those of us who had made a reservation... it was really uncomfortable. We asked to be moved and thankfully within 20 min we were able to. It was my birthday and I had requested a table next to the window and it was not acknowledged originally.
The food is ok, the drinks are ok, the view is AMAZING, it does not have a good vibe though it’s become a tourist trap and now a tacky vibe with a great view.
We got the best table (best view) of the bar. Thank you so much for making our cocktail hour perfect!
Great service , location , food and staff. Really enjoyed visiting.
Ridiculous prices ...mediocre drinks....overpriced on everything.
Have to book but great views & loved the cocktails - Big Apple was delicious! Triple cooked chips were a good accompaniment. Great views, try to go over sunset to see in daylight & after dark.
Very attentive service
Birthday really enjoyable evening. Magical watching the sunset at 65 storeys
This place is very nice. And the view is breath taking! My husband LOVED it as his birthday dinner!!! We will be back as soon as we have warm weather! Thank you again to the hostess, and our waiter (I think his name is Bret). We'll be back sooner than later!! 👍🏽😉
Anyone who hasn't been to bar 65 should add to their to do list fantastic. Must do great experience.
21st birthday and first evening ever in NY so important. The view here is worth a visit for sure, service was not the best and the food just ok
Great views and great service. The prices are high but the views make up for it.
We dined at Bar 65 at The Rainbow Rooms for my friends 50th birthday. It was such a special experience & the views were amazing. The food & cocktails were fabulous. Loved it.
Amazing service from coat check to the bill. No queues to fight with and you get to sit down and have dinner / drinks with the best view in New York City.
Very good view and service. Cocktails were okay , a bit pricey for the food and drinks considering its portions and taste, certain cocktails are a little weird but then it’s NYC, midtown, and bar... so what you expect is more for the experience with the people you go with, and you can’t really put a price on that.
This is a must- do for first time visitors. The view is incredible and there is no cover charge other than buying s $20 drink, which we’d do anyway. We shared a cheese platter that was plentiful and varied with grapes, honey and dried fruit. Reservations necessary but not too crowded.
We went to Bar 65 for my boyfriends 40th Birthday. The view, the ambience...the staff...everything was perfect!! We even got a complimentary baked Alaska with "happy birthday" written on in chocolate! That was a lovey surprise! Would highly recommend and visit again in the future!
It was and always is wonderful!
Delicious food and great service! Also cool view and environment!
Such a good place with a great service and food. Unfortunately, their vegetarian options are poor, but the other things can cover that small disaccord. I would like to say it’s 4.8 out of 5. And I would really recommend to my friends to go there.
P.S. It would be better, if personal would read comments to the reservation.
We were celebrating our friends vow renewal whilst visiting New York,so we chose this restaurant,it was fabulous food service and simply stunning views
Wonderful venue for a special occasion. The food was good, atmosphere special and the staff very attentive. On the minus side, staff at reception need to be more friendly, I had read reviews which noted that staff were disinterested and was worried that after meeting the staff on reception that would be the experience for the evening, thankfully not, we had a glorious time
The few all over Manhatton is great. It is a good location being the first evening in NYC
I made this reservation special for my sister and I who is visiting from out of town. We requested a table by the window and the staff was very rude and said they could not accommodate (though there were at least 2 tables that remained open during our entire time there). It took over 20 mins for our waitress to bring us our drink order and she did not come by at all to check on us. Overall we were very disappointed by our experience.
Iconic bar with elegance, good vibe. Food cold, not that notable. We had the French fries, quinoa sliders and nitro tuna - aoili was nitroed! Waitress bought us the wrong bill. Had higher expectations. Great people watching and fabulous view.
This is the best Restaurant I have ever been to. The service was perfect, our server was patient and elegant and knew the whole menu as well as talked to us about the drink menu in length. The view is unbeatable, I was looking at the Empire State building from the window. The food is amazing, so delicious. I will be going back. it is a romantic spot, and perfect for special occasions.
Good drinks service great food but decor like a Marriott breakfast room and no enforcement of dress code
When booking here it was very unclear about what was the rainbow room and what was bar65 on arrival we were shown into a lounge style room where we were seated at a different angle to the table. Whilst a lovely mood lit resturant called Bae Bar was open and not something we could use.
Food expensive and not the best taste and a very limited choice of options.
View was amazing and for a unique experience and the opportunity to dress up and go up to the top of the rock it was a worthwhile trip. But if it’s just food your after there are much better places to visit
Really disappointed with our evening - service was really surly, waitress gave such poor service and didnt make us feel at all welcome or comfortable. Tables are quite close to one another and our table for 3 really was only big enough for 2 and meant i was sat and awkward angle. Food was average and vastly over- priced. Views are spectacular but to get up close to a window to take a photo you are right next to other tables so you feel you are intruding on their privacy. We enjoyed Top of The Rock outside much better last time we visited NYC so would recommend that rather than this over- priced uncomfortable experience.
Not many food option.
Excellent view, friendly hostess and waitresses, a must do location once during a visit to NYC.
Gorgeous restaurant with incredible views. Pricey (20 dollar cocktails) but worth it for a one off experience. Food was very good too.
An amazing spot to view all of Manhattan! Pricy but worth it for a once in a lifetime view and experience! The staff is threat, food great, and drinks great!
Everything was good excepted the food. We took one plate to share and the bread was burned. I had the taste of that during all the end of day.
This place is very special and great for occasions. I took off a star because there is no way to contact them about your reservation. No one answers the phone, nor do they return your call as their voice mail service says they will. We were running late for our reservation bc there were train problems. I tried calling so many times. We arrived 12 minutes late and they marked us as "no show." They let us go in, but made sure we knew we were late and it might mean we'd have to wait for a table. But, the staff upstairs were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like they were expecting us, our table was ready right away, and there was no mention of us being late. We had a great time.
Fab bar , the staff were so friendly and attentive- fab drinks - bar tender even made me one that wasn’t on the menu at my request. Couldn’t recommend this place any higher great value great views overal good vibes
