Celebrate the view @SixtyFiveNYC
Rude, unwelcoming, basic over priced food where people sit with one drink for two hours then leave with pictures.
Not a pleasant experience.
(Lighting low, take a touch to read menu!).
Our view and wine were great but our food and service was the worst thing be had since I’ve been here.
My friend’s first night ever in NYC
Had s great cocktail with a great view. Didn’t eat so can’t rate food
Very enjoyable, amazing views at sunset. Would have been nice to have heat lamps outside as it got a little bit chilly after sunset and inside was full
We really enjoyed our evening at Bar SixtyFive. We chose to go to the bar for the view over going to the Observation Deck. We arrived a little early for our reservation and they allowed us to go right out onto the terrace to view the end of the sunset. We were told they were a bit behind on their reservations, it did take awhile to be seated. We could have ordered a drink from the bar, but we don’t drink, we went to get food and enjoy the view. Two couples and we ordered burgers with fries and desserts to share. The burgers and fries were great, the desserts were fine. One person got a Mojito Mocktail which was awesome. Our waiter was great and so helpful! We spent less than for 4 people going to the Observation Deck and had a very enjoyable evening.
We had a lovely evening, the view, food and staff - well worth the money. Only issue was the noise level as they have a standing area for guest to drink cocktails, in saying that I would do it all again.
Incredibly wonderful and special.
Our dinner was very tasty, but we have booked the table outside. Was raining and we shold have gone to inside bar. Unfortunately they don't have an umbrella to take it near the table to continue sitting outside.
Bar Sixty Five is a first class venue with very attentive and efficient staff and a very good menu.
It is a an experience which must not be missed when in New York.
El lugar magnífico, un poco lento el servicio pero muy cordiales todos en la atención, los alimentos exquisitos y las vistas maravillosas.
The view is amazing! The food is very poor. We booked a table 6 weeks ago and they squeezed
4 of us on to a table for 2 when we asked to move we were told that we couldn’t despite the fact that tables were empty and were not taken the whole time we were there.
Champagne cocktail was a joke for $20!
This was on my top ten places to see in NYC. I'm happy I went and I would recommend to others. Pricey for what it is, but the view was amazing. You CAN go outside with just the purchase of a drink. You do NOT have to eat outside in order to get outside.
Location molto bella, il prezzo vale più per quella che per le pietanze. I piatti, seppur abbastanza ricercati, non hanno soddisfatto granché. Buoni i cocktail, servizio cortese ed efficiente.
Our whole experience was amazing. It is by far the best food we have had whilst on our visit to New York. Thank you so much
Great view & scene as always, but disappointing new menu - top of Rockefeller center without oysters Rockefeller feels like Peter Luger without steak.
Beautiful view and lovely drinks
The food was yummy, too!
The food was great and the ambience even better. Unfortunately the floor managers seemed unexperienced and only game me the table I wanted after complaining about it twice. The fact was that none of the tables around us got busy anyway so would have been nicer if they had been attentive since the beginning.
View - Fabulous (one of the best in the city, a must do)
Meal - Delicious (the NY Strip was perfectly cooked and tender)
Ambiance - Phenomenal (Thousands pat good money to stand two floor up at the top of the Rock)
Service - Mediocre. (The waiter didn’t seem to want to intact with us. Slow to refill drink, and it was like pulling teeth to get the bill, 20 minute wait, just to get the bill, not including time to pay it.)
The best rooftop in NY. Old style inside but WOW scenic view outside. kind service in restaurant, good food
The view and ambiance was amazing service staff were so kind we liked the food good value for the money at all
A special venue for my wife's 60th birthday...loved it !!!
Visited NYC for a long girls weekend. This place is a must for beautiful city views.Unfortunately, they reduced the size of the observation area significantly by adding outside reserved seating. If you go, make a reservation for a table and go near sunset. You will not be sorry.
NYFW gathering of publicists, influencers and marketing friends
Nice restaurant with spectacular views if you are sitting at the right table. Menu is quite limited but with nice options for everybody. I don’t think there is anything exceptional about the ambiance of the restaurant itself. The fact that it stands on 65th floor is the secret to the win for the place.
Poor table location (no view - despite booking months in advance with a special table request), average food and we felt disrespected by servers and hostess due to our younger age. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend, far better service and atmosphere at several other roof top bars we visited in Manhattan.
Loved it! A truly lovely experience with excellent food.
We arrived late but were graciously seated right away . The views were spectacular!
I would definitely recommend the Rainbow Room for the view and the quality of food, but the service and the attitudes of the waiting staff was little to be admired. This was from both the checking in desk and our waiter. I found our waiter to be rude and very assumptive that I was a tourist who needed to be reminded that each person seated had to order one item. We'd booked a table for dinner! He also told the table next to us that they had to make sure they had cash to pay for their drinks...
Just not what you would expect from the restaurant and I have been before and had a great experience, but certainly won't be in any rush back!
Rude staff, over priced for very average food and noisey due to bar in middle of restaurant
great view of new york and central park , staff attentive and considerate , excellent cocktails , overall a great experience
Not much can be wrong with being on the 45th floor of 30 Rock with cocktail in hand. There's a gorgeous view in every direction. They do it right!
Got upstairs, we were told kitchen was closed but we were able to get drinks and desserts we got up, got sat and we where told we weren’t able to get any desserts. Why do they have reservations at 10:30 if the kitchen is closing.
We chose this bar for its view of the city, knowing it would be upscale and expensive. It was both of those. What we somehow, perhaps naively, didn’t expect, was the noise level. It was so noisy that we couldn’t talk to each other across the table. We were seated quickly, and our server was there to take our drink order before we had a chance to even take a glance at the drink menu. While we waited for our food to be served, we had a couple questions for our server, but we had a hard time finding him, and when we did find him, we had a hard time getting his attention. It took two or three tries, and even then he seemed to be distracted by someone or something else.
I ordered the cauliflower and polenta, which was delicious. My husband ordered the halibut, which he described as okay, no more. The combination of too much noise, poor service, and less than extraordinary food was offset by the magnificent view. But if we were to return to NYC, we’d look for another restaurant with a similar view and better service and food.
I would recommend it for a one-time experience and for the view. The appetizer we ordered was very good. The cocktail could have been larger for the price. The view is the draw. I was surprised at the noise level, expecting a more sophisticated atmosphere.
Great setting to watch the sunset and enjoy some interesting cocktails.
For men, don’t miss the view from the Gents toilets.
Good food. The service is great. And outstanding view of the city.
Beautiful views, attentive staff, delicious food and drinks, and not too expensive considering its location!
The views were incredible. The staff was pretty stuck up and seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. The food was just so so. The steak was mediocre but then they topped it off with a disgusting green paste that tastes like it was made from the scraps of my juicer. The drinks were strong which was great given their price. The views are definitely worth the trip especially at sunset but I would recommend getting a drink or two and moving on.
Very good food with one of the best views of New York City. Highly recommended.
