The food and view were spectacular.
Amazing Views and Great Food and Service! Perfect ambiance for a drink
Everything was beyond fabulous!
Our experience at Bar SixtyFive was fun and memorable. Arrival was well organized, but overall service a little slow. The room has a pleasant dining club atmosphere, good drinks and we'd order the lemon tart again without thinking twice. Last but not least, the NYC view is spectacular and will stay with us forever!
Amazing place to have food, and at an amazing value. I went for the steak, haven't tasted better in my life and I frequent to France. Girlfriend had a chicken salad. Was perfect. You pay to go up normally, so if you take that price off the meal you're winning with the food. Just hope it's as good for you!
Service was just not good enough.
I ordered a bottle of wine... for which the glasses turned up but not the wine ! Twice I was asked if our glasses could be taken away. Both times I had to explain they had not yet been used - the wine eventually arrived. I asked the waitress a couple of questions about the menu but didn't get a knowledgeable answer, she didn't know much about the menu at all. No napkins... I asked if we could have two - they arrived several minutes after we had both finished dining.
Service and quality food make a place, Bar 65 only had one of these...
Really enjoyed our visit great setting and lovely cocktails.
I took my wife to the Rainbow Room 29 years ago - for her 20th birthday. We were in NY to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and I booked a reservation at Bar SixtyFive. She was very surprised and thrilled. We had a wonderful seat by the windows facing the Empire State Building. The food was outstanding. We started with three shared plates and of those we loved the warm olives with Marcona almonds and the quinoa sliders. For our entrees, my wife had the grilled cauliflower over risotto and I had the bucatini. They were scrumptious. My wife greatly enjoyed the Cabernet she had from Seneca Lake. Many of the beer and wine offerings are from NY State. It was a wonderful evening and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bar SixtyFive and plan to return!
Stunning location, great atmosphere, service superb.
Breathtaking view for sunset, though not all drinks from the menu were available, wait staff we polite and accommodating. Thank you
Loved it! Whilst not cheap you’re paying for the location.
What a view!
Lovely view. But food very overpriced and not of good quality the experience of dining so high was amazing quite dark in there but that’s ok as I expect if it was lighter the view wouldn’t of been so good. We would of like to take photos but as tables were there we felt like we were intruding on people’s dining experience. Would recommend it though but for drinks not food .
The evening was everything and more than we could have expected.
Love this place! The Cocktails are phenomenal!!!!
Service was great. Not super excited about salty potato chips accompanying the caviar in addition to an aggressive truffled side cream?? Caviar was lovely. Blinis and creme fraiche are a much more palatable choice if people actually want to taste the caviar... I did...
Club 65...una tradizione che si consolida sempre più.
Uno degli appuntamenti a cui non si può mancare.
It was my second visit to Bar Sixty Five and on both occasions I have enjoyed thoroughly enjoyable evenings.
The venue and views certainly speak for themselves and the staff were as always polite and attentive.
The experience was once again full of positives as expected and if I had to add any negative feedback it would simply be that we had to wait several minutes for cutlery to be brought to our table before we could enjoy both our starter or entree and it seemed that the smart casual dress code requirement as advertised wasn't be strictly upholded with many guests aloud to bend the rules somewhat.
It was nice food, good view but ruined as needed to keep coat on as the air con was very cold!
Group visiting NYC
The table we were seated at was wobbly leading to a spilling of the drinks. We were moved to a different table which was alright.
Our waiter then proceeded to spill a glass of wine which got on our clothes. No apology, no compensation. We left before ordering dinner and vow never to go back.
We enjoyed a fabulous three course meal and wine there, the deserts weren’t as good as the main meals but still cleaned the plate!! The only disappointment was that it was totally fogged out so we couldn’t see any of the skyline! Typical! Can’t plan for the weather hey!
So you are clearly here for the view..unfortunately we had clouds so we missed that part.
Service was fine but drinks were unfortunately poor. Specifically asked about a Moscow mule and waiter said sure....then brought out a vodka drink in a tall glass. No copper, no distinct ginger beer. For upscale $18 cocktails was a complete fail.
Ordered the chart platter for an appetizer and was devoid of any cracker, starch or cheese. Disappointed for expectations and for sure price.
Most beautiful view ever. Food is not good.
Great views to NY city. Fantastic atmosphere. Good food. Would recommend the beef tartare
Can’t beat the view! The atmosphere is great too. Loved everything we ordered. Our service wasn’t the best but still glad we went and would come back again. It was for my partner’s birthday before a show at Radio City. It’s great for special occasions.
Above expectations and excellent attention to the gluten free requirements. Thank you.
We went to Top of the Rock and then to Bar SixtyFive after for drinks and appetizers. It was the perfect compliment to the whole experience. What an incredible view and the food and drinks were excellent. Service was very good but not excellent. The team just didn’t have the elevated attitude that matched the venue. However, I would definitely go back again. I recommend the charcuterie platter and it was bountiful.
Average place views is only reason most people there
View was good, worth going up. Drinks nice. But they kept us waiting for 20 mins (didn’t open on time) and let people stand out on the balcony blocking your view from a table completely. Not as upscale as we were expecting, let people in dressed to casually. Service was slow and not to the standard we know from cocktail bars in London. I would not bother booking and then stand outside and block the view, at least you will see it clearly.
Went with my girlfriend for post theatre drink and something to eat. Reservation was honored no issue. Sat down, waiter took order and brought drinks and we never saw him again. Wanted to order something to eat, no luck there. Kept trying to get attention and gave up, we were ignored. The joke is on him, as we are the best tippers. We were sitting next to some men at next table who were really nice but had different server, we looked forward to ordering what they had as they liked it. We know when we are not wanted, so we took the check he delivered NEVER ASKING IF WE WANTED ANYTHING ELSE just dumped it on table and walked away. I tipped him $2 and wrote on check how disappointing the experience was and told the hostess table on way out. Apologies given, but we left, not interested.
Tourist trap it seems.... and if you are two women spend your money elsewhere as they are too judgey here.
Was extremely disappointed with our experience at Bar SixtyFive! There were 4 of us and we ordered 4 different menu items - none of them were good, especially the charcuterie board. It looked more like a science experiment than edible food. The limited drink menu was as equally disappointing as the food. Not to mention exceedingly overpriced. We ended up leaving quickly and going to a bar near by to find a better drink selection and a warmer atmosphere.
I understand this is a social space - but it was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other across the ironically small table we were sitting at.
The restrooms were out of toilet paper but luckily I was able to locate the open janitors closet so I could hand my friend a partially used roll of toilet paper. The restaurant has a great view and our server was very nice, but that's about all it had to offer. In other words Bar SixtyFive, sixty sucked!
Perfect, best plan to see the sky line in a quiet and perfect place.
Pretty nice bar with great views. Food for us was both great and I found the prices for the food to be pretty good for what we got. Drinks quite pricey but fair enough for where we were. Waiters were fairly meh and not very responsive, forgot to bring my girlfriend's 2nd ordered drink but no charge for it on our bill. Quite loud but I did not mind it too much. All in all I would recommend.
I had very high hopes for our experience here and I was NOT disappointed! Everything was impeccable...the food, drinks, service, ambiance...perfect! If a girl's gotta turn 50, this is NOT a bad way to do it!!! Thank you!!!
A visit to New York was top of mums bucket list so we wanted to make it a bit special. Booked Bar 65 in advance and hoped to be seated outside. We were greeted at reception very courteously and shown the way upstairs where again we were greeted and shown to our table. We were lucky to get a choice of inside or outside. Our waiter greeted us and took our order, served us and answered our questions in a most friendly and helpful manner. The food was excellent and all in all, if we had the time, would have booked another meal there without hesitation. We were a little bit apprehensive before hand from reading earlier negative reviews but we found everyone most helpful and the cost of the meal matched its situation.
Loved it! The service & our food was lovely & the views are to die for!
