The worst place I have ever seen. Do not visit it
They closed the restaurant and didn’t call or advise me to let me know. I got there with my fiancé happily to find out they closed the restaurant. A simple phone call or a message would have sufficed.
They didnt cancel the reservarion. No one was present at the entry. Poorest service ever even under that circumstances.
We were so looking forward to visiting and eagerly made our way across town to make our reservation time. When we and 10 or so others turned up we were met by a closed door. Now I understand that in this challenging times some venues did chose to close and I have no squabble with that, it was the complete lack of communication that was galling. A simple email or text message would have sufficed. They clearly couldn’t even bother doing that. Other places where we had reservations managed to communicate if they were open or not.
Over priced, mediocre service. A bit deflating to be honest
Sehr schöner Ausblick
Did not allow entry and did not inform us ahead of time. The bar was closed and we were only told we could not move forward with our dinner reservation upon arrival. Even now, 6 hours on, we have received no information on the matter.
Excellent atmosphere, food and drink. If you’re looking to impress a date or someone special this is definitely a great place to start your evening.
Service was good, drinks were average (expensive!) I found the whole thing a bit underwhelming though. I was also a little disappointed that there was no where to take photos besides the area where people are sat by the bar. There is a huge room to the side that was empty but was roped off, this could easily be an extra room for people to drink in?
crazy food, atmosphere and view, personnal adorable
the food, drinks, service and atmosphere were amazing! definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
The view was incredible and the service was great! It was pricy but it is worth it with the view.
The view was spectacular! We baked Rockefeller and it was ok. The waitress was very accommodating as far as what to order in the wi r selection. She even brought 3 samples. They had a special wine for National Womens Day but had already ran out.
It was worth going there for the view and the staff.
Fabulous views. Food mostly good. Service sometimes poor.
Amazing view across New York skyline
Fabulous place for a cocktail while watching the sunset
Not gonna go there again.. view is good. Other than that..not much.
Had the most amazing evening at bar 65 rainbow room,
Food and service was outstanding would definitely recommend a visit.
The view was breath taking, the restaurant was lovely the food was overrated and very expensive for what we had. But I get you are paying for the view and the experience. Sad end we shared a dessert and there was paper in it gave it back and it was taken off the bill and one glass of wine very disappointing in the end.
Stunning views, attentive staff, great place for a special night out.
Cool place, but we were not aware that they close so early for Friday night . We were sat at 1040pm and 1045, we were told that we had to order food because kitchen was closing. We were rushed to eat and be out there. I work in a restaurant business, and our kitchen does not close until about 15mjn after we close. Food was delicious, service was good, besides the rush part.
made reservation 6 Weeks before Event. Want a table with view to Empire State Building. Was a present to 50th birthday. At 6 pm nearly 50% of tables where Not occupied. We got the poorest table beside the kitchen and no view to Empire State Building. Cocktails consist More than 70% of ice . POOR and to expensive
Had a wonderful Birthday dinner
Amazing experience and a memorable part of our trip.
I left a note to say this was for a belated birthday gift - we were met with a cake and top class service. Alongside great views of the city.
Fully recommend visiting here, it's a must see.
Amazing views, delicious cocktails, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting NYC 😊
Outstanding view with very good cocktails !
The best view. Must sit on the south side.
The food was good. It can be more creative but overall it is an amazing spot you must go in NYC
I brought my 22 year-old niece for her first NYC trip and had a wonderful time. The view is spectacular, the host was lovely, our server was a B+. What bothered me was that the website suggests a dress code, which makes sense at this price point. While some were dressed as suggested, there were several in hoodies, torn jeans and offensive language on their sweatshirts, which made the dress code moot.
Great atmosphere! No better view in NYC! Highly recommend!
Special occasion ruined due to waiting staff who were very ignorance and could not be bothered with their customers. Food was just okay. For where the restaurant was situated I expected much better. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.
Nice drinks and food .lovely atmosphere and staff .amazing views
The bar is overrated. The view is great but there are other rooftops with better drinks and food. We had the seafood tower and clams and oysters were not very good. Service was fine.
My wife said she's wanted to go to the Rainbow Room for 50 years.
We made reservations for 4:30pm , were seated at the perfect window table and had excellent attentive service. All wines and beers are local sourced. The cocktail and spirits list is extensive. Dessert was absolutely fabulous, the apple and raspberry sorbets were excellent!
Bar65 should be on everyone's "must experience" list while in New York.
Great location an fantastic food!
If I have to say something to be improved, I'd say the quantity of light. It's really hard to read the menu in the dark environment.
Beautiful ambiance, we arrived early and they accommodated us very nicely.
