The two-story restaurant, spanning 8,000-square-feet, is located in the heart of restaurant row in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. Upon entering, there is a bustling bar and on the second floor, a vibrant dining room, both connected by an arresting illuminated sculpture inspired by Siena Tavern's olive tree icon.
Bar Siena is the perfect location for weekday lunch, dinner, happy hour or weekend brunch. If you're looking for something a little sweeter, stop by Bar Siena's side-concept and walk-up window, BomboBar, located on Green Street. Grab a coffee, bomboloni, gelato or hot chocolate to go!

Great ambiance, great staff, great meatballs and pizza!
I would not go to get a nice dinner. The food is greasy and too salty. I could have spent the same money on better food in the area. Left feeling unsatisfied and robbed.
My chicken sandwich was cold and unflavored. They were noisily moving furniture around the room the entire time we were trying to have lunch without even an attempt at being quiet.
Might have a different opinion if I sat upstairs but my reserved table was next to the bar so very busy and very, very loud with the music mix. Thankfully I was out to dinner with my two 20-something kids so only had a short time to talk given they had their iphones. :) Food and Service tremendous. The Focaccia appetizer is a MUST HAVE
My experience was great. amazing waiter and food I will be back
Amazing food every time we go! Great Christmas decorations and a DJ on site. Service was a little less than thrilled to be there is all. Will still always return for brunch!
Fantastic meal, well-priced, and a great setup for a casual night out. Went on a Monday and it was packed! Will definitely be back. Try the gnocchi.
We have been to Siena Tavern and Bar Siena MANY times. We live locally and they are 2 of our go to places to dine with friends. Today was the first time we had a sub par experience. Starting with the drinks at the bar downstairs. The glass seemed half full, but it was confirmed the pour was light when we got upstairs and got another glass that was definitely what would be considered a full pour of wine. Then we ordered dinner. A salad, the burrata, a pizza, a couple of pasta dishes and the brussel sprouts. The pasta and pizza came out first followed quickly by the rest of the dishes so we had a billion plates on the table. That has never happened to us there before. The manager stopped by to ask how things were and we told him everything came out at the same time and he said he’d check on it and he never came back. Usually starters and salads come out before the hot food. But then the waiter never really came back. He did refill the wine but no other food interaction. We had to stack our own empty dishes. We had to get the waiters attention to ask for dessert menu. We got the bill and he comp’d dessert which was nice , but didn’t make up for the terrible service. Mentioned it to the hostess in the way out and was told to put a review on line so here it is. Oh and that’s when we saw the manager again and I reiterated our disappointment and he did give us a free app for our next visit- if we ever bother going back there. Bummer.
The ambiance is AMAZING. Cute restaurant in west loop with tons of yummy food options - they had a gluten free options and I ordered from them and unfortunately the food came out with gluten on it. Bummer. They made up new food quick though and even comped us some shots. I would go back for drinks and small plates in a heart beat but for a full dinner, the menu is limited for those with allergies.
It was delicious! A bit pricey for the size of the pasta dish, I thought there would be more food. Our waitress was nice, but I felt like we were being rushed out the door.
Otherwise great food, drinks and atmosphere!
We really liked this place. First time for us to make our way down in the City and we were very happy we did. Service was very good. We were seated upstairs and had a really nice server she explained everything and because she described everything well she upsold us. And we were happy she did! I wish I remembered her name (sorry). We had the focaccia, meatballs, lobster pasta and lasagna and wine! What else can I say but it was delicious and we were stuffed! We will be back to this Top Chef restaurant - thanks Fabio for being in Chicago.
We met our family there. We were all very pleased with our meal and the service. The breakfast calzone was excellent. Thank you.
This place has a good energy, however, based on the loud level of music playing, it is not really a place to go for dinner, unless you don't want to talk. Almost impossible to have a conversation. It is two stories, so you would think they would control the volume and allow some basic conversation in the upstairs, but that is not the case. If you are looking for expensive weak drinks and loud energetic atmosphere for your dining experience - this place is for you.
Really great experience for a Friday night dinner. Busy but the staff and kitchen are extremely efficient. The appetizers and meals were perfectly timed.
What does this place want to be? Upscale sports bar? A million big TVs showing ESPN on Friday night makes it a glorified sports bar with food that is inconsistent.
Really cool spot! Neat decor with great views from the upstairs—-but super loud! Food was pretty good. My friend had the truffled risotto which was delicious as was the grilled octopus. My lobster pasta was very good but I had to wait a bit for salt and pepper which it needed—then it was not hot anymore.
Service was good but she was pretty busy....
Bartender was incredibly rude and condescending. Insisted that I ordered a wine I did not, claiming that what I ordered they had been out of all day. Was about to charge me for the wine I had not ordered, which was more expensive, even taking a straw out to taste the wine I had been served to correct me on what I was drinking. I said I didn’t know what I was drinking, but regardless I had ordered the other, less expensive wine. Instead of simply charging me for what I ordered initially, gets so flustered over the issue and slams my card back on the table and with incredible attitude and anger tells me it’s on the house. Server wasn’t horrible besides a strange lack of eye contact and bizarre disposition. I left feeling so strange about the experience that, despite a pretty good meal and the glass of wine being free, I will not be returning.
Server was extremely knowledgeable, polite and took great care of our party. Thank you!
Phenomenal food! Fresh makes all the difference and you will taste the difference here! The simplicity of the dishes we had required the highest-quality ingredients and we were not disappointed. This would be our go-to Italian place if we lived closer!
Delicious food, great service, way too loud. They need to make the upstairs quieter than the downstairs. You end up screaming at each other upstairs to be heard.
I was excited to eat at Bar Siena, after waiting for table, server went through his intro and the big “pitch” was that the chef had been on some food show. I found the food to be mediocre, the constant upsells by the server a bit much, and overall the server seemed too busy to provide minimum level of service. The server did do a great job helping my friend pick a glass of wine. I probably won’t return.
Great wait staff and bussing. Friendly, helpful waiter and bus persons were considerate and hard working. Front desk hostesses, not so much. They were rude and not personable at all.
Great vibe, but a little too loud for dinner conversation. Terrific food.
One of the best cheeseburgers in Chicago! Get the double with bacon. Add an egg if you're feeling it
Love the ambiance- bar downstairs has a romantic feel with a fun vibe/ watch sports and enjoy cocktails over conversation. Food is also always on point!
I did not like that they did not seat me until my entire party arrived. It was a party of 2 so it’s not like we were taking up a big table.
I think the kitchen or our server forgot about our meal. Everyone who sat down after us had their meal before us. It was very odd and frustrating since we were there for a work meeting and needed to get back to the office in a timely manner.
The food was delicious! Something for everyone on the menu and made with love. We sat in the upstairs and the ambiance was beautiful. Service was excellent! We would definitely bring friends back to experience this place.
Everything was great— food drinks and service! Restaurant is extremely loud we had to yell to hear each other.
Fun night with great food
Loved the food and cool environment upstairs. Very loud, but service is fantastic. Will go again!
Bar Siena is one of my favorite restaaurants in Fulton Market. The food and service is top notch!
Menu limited. Not enough seafood or healthy options.
Very prompt service and tasty food and drinks.
Birthday. It was noisy. My wife’s chicken had to be sent back and cooked mire but the manager comped it and it was good. Overall good experience. Waitress Guiliana was superb.
Great atmosphere and food. We had a wonderful time.
excellent food and service. a bit loud in there, but we were all okay with that.
The food was fantastic but do not plan on being able to hear people across the table from you. It is very loud. The staff are friendly but it was very apparent our server was in a hurry to be elsewhere throughout our dining experience.
When we arrived for a reservation at 9:00pm, it took them almost 30 minutes to find us a table. The food was good, and the staff are wonderful. I would suggest it as a great place for Apps and Drinks before a night out.
Excellent food! Very cool atmosphere in the West Loop. Noise level is loud and gets louder as the night goes on, so make sure the guests you bring are okay with that!
