The two-story restaurant, spanning 8,000-square-feet, is located in the heart of restaurant row in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. Upon entering, there is a bustling bar and on the second floor, a vibrant dining room, both connected by an arresting illuminated sculpture inspired by Siena Tavern's olive tree icon.
Bar Siena is the perfect location for weekday lunch, dinner, happy hour or weekend brunch. If you're looking for something a little sweeter, stop by Bar Siena's side-concept and walk-up window, BomboBar, located on Green Street. Grab a coffee, bomboloni, gelato or hot chocolate to go!

What Insiders Are Saying
Bar Siena is great for a fun gathering in the West Loop. Go heavy on the pizza and pastas. And drinks. You're going to want those too.
Ordered the Capellini and it was served lukewarm, I had to send it back to be reheated. The ambience and service was good.
Delicious food! Amazing.
Very disappointed. I’ve eaten at most restaurants around the Fulton market area and I have 0 reason to go back here. I brought customers for dinner and apologized to them for choosing this place because of the below average service. I guess it was an off night for them.
I used to love this place but it’s gotten way too loud!!! Still good food but couldn’t even hear each other. This has turned into a River North club. Disappointing!
Way to loud, couldn’t even talk to the person next to me. Pizza and salad was salty
Had a great time, but was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation or hear the waitress very well.
This was my third time at Bar Siena, love this place. The food is great, love the atmosphere and service is always great. Nothing bad to say but I would absolutely return.
Overall we had a good experience however our server was clearly busy and rushed through everything with us. I would also say its way overpriced for the food. We spent $250 for 4 people for sharing meals. Lastly, one of the items was a salad and it came last which was bizarre. At that point why even put the order through. I asked the waiter specifically if we had too much or little food and we clearly ordered too much and then to have a soggy salad show up when we received all other items and were ready for the check. That was disappointing.
Horrible. Waited over 30 minutes for a waiter/waitress to greet us and bring water. Never brought silverware or napkins. Will not be going back again.
This was maybe my 3rd time at Bar Siena. Went with 2 of my girlfriends this time and we ordered a bunch of plates to share. The octopus appetizer was good - octopus itself was tasty but the greens underneath I found a bit salty. Also ordered the Bar Siena chop salad which was good. Love the variety that comes in the salad rather than basic leaves with dressing. We also ordered the short rib lasagna, fig pizza, and spinach cappellaci and I would have to say that all of it was excellent. It definitely is a bit pricier and some portions are a bit smaller than others. I always find it easier to order multiple items and share. We went on a Friday night and as the night progressed the music got louder and louder and my girlfriends and I were basically shouting at each other trying to converse so I would say if you were looking for more of a quieter scene, this may not be the place. I do want to come back some time to try out their breakfast/brunch menu though!
Fun place with good food. Everything on the menu tasted good.
I was invited by a business acquaintance to have dinner when she was in town last week. I picked Bar Siena as I had been once before and found it to be fun, energetic and served good italian food.
Pros: Great waiter, attentive and not too attentive
Fun food choices i.e. the baby carrot appetizer was delicious!
Bar Siena encourages sharing plates which was just what we wanted
Cons: The restaurant was SUPER loud when we got there at 7:00 pm - good thing my friend and I talk loudly
The flatbread pizza was a letdown- prosciutto and fig - the taste was good however the crust was thin and tasteless
Would I go again? Yes however I would probably go with a group and not for a "good conversation" spot
Service rushed us. Asked us if we wanted coffee while we were still eating and only halfway through our drinks. Caesar salad was just ok. White Sangria was delicious. Rest of our service was great with staff, besides hostess seating others aside from us before us, perhaps forgetting about my reservation.
Not the best night for service....were they understaffed on Mother's Day evening? Not sure but the food is consistently awesome!
Service was great from the minute we walked in! We sat upstairs by a window and enjoyed watching the neighborhoods energy.
Staff are amazing! The food was good. No complaints - but beyond the service, there wasn’t a strong differentiator between Bar Siena and others in the area. Solid.
Good food but music was SO loud for a late dinner.
My daughter recommended Bar Siena to us and we were not disappointed.
Excellent service . Staff is very personable. Valet was excellent. Went out of his way to accommodate my guest.
Wait staff was responsive- short rib lasagna amazing.
Amazing food! Everything about the food & service was great- but our table was in the back corner upstairs by the waiters table- that table should not be there! We were squished in the corner with waiters crowding our table all night.
I love coming here. The food is fantastic, the lobster Benedict in particular. Coming here for brunch with kids is fun. There is lots for them to look at and the servers are always VERY kind. I have never felt like 'oh god, here comes the table with the kid(s)...quite the opposite. If you like spicy, order a spicy Bloody!
The food was great. Our server was wonderful, knowledgeable and helped make the birthday celebration even better. But we could not hear each other in our own booth without yelling.
This was my second time at Bar Siena and was happy to be back. The service was wonderful and the food was fantastic. We started with the potatoes skins and meatballs and then split the strip steak. We finished the night with donuts that were fresh and delicious.
It’s kinda big and very noisy. That being said, it’s
fun and the food is really good. Busboys were to eager to take your plate away (literally as I was picking up my fork with food on it) and couples can get shafted with the crappy 2 tops in the middle of the floor. Love the short rib lasagna. Octopus is killer too.
Food was good. Server was pushing us a bit up front but then found a pace. Restaurant got loud as the evening wore on. Even though we were in a corner booth it was still difficult to hear each other.
Some interesting twists on Italian food. I had a Short Rub Lasagna that was very good, although a bit dry. Need some extra ricotta. My wife had a delicious Spinach Pasta. The Bombolini for dessert was really good. I ordered a bottle of an Antinori wine off a list that was fairly extensive. Wouldn't you know that's the one they were out of. Offered me something that wasn't on their wine list as an alternative. A decent Super Tuscan. Same price. As for atmosphere, it's a bar. Lots of TV's. Close tables. Service was not extraordinary but Daniel, our wait staff, was there regularly and was helpful.
We got our table right away. After looking over the menu & getting suggestions from the server, we made our selections. Burrata to start as an appetizer, then main course...I had the Short rib Lasagna & my wife had the Black Truffle Risotto with root vegetables in it that weren’t cooked thoroughly(still crunchy). We were given a complimentary Bombora(donut) with a candle for our 5yr. Anniversary. Overall, great experience & we’ll go back again!
Excellent food, my cocktail was a tad too sweet. Loved the Octopus, the Shrimp and the Fig pizza.
Great food! Fun place! Good music! Had to wait a bit but it is busy. Be prepared to wait a little bit the food is worth it! Recommended! Grab a drink at the bar and enjoy people watching!
Very energetic environment, with good food and good service. The restaurant has a great energy which is accompanied by a high level of noise, so intimate conversation is impossible. None the less the food is very good.
I like this spot in the West Loop. Good food. Great bar scene. Solid.
The burger seems to have gotten smaller, but it's my favorite on Randolph street.
The truffle garlic aioli is amazing. Worth the reservation alone.
Fries are cooked to perfection.
Service is always amazingly professional.
Server and staff were super kind. Food was awesome. Outdoor seating was great. Highly recommend.
Fun, lively atmosphere with good food. The menu is somewhat limited. Very large outdoor eating area.
The service here was really great. Our waitress was super friendly and we even saw her chase a couple down in the street to give them their credit card they left behind. We went for Easter brunch and the food was very good. I would definitely eat here again next time we are in town.
Good food and service. Went with a group and although happy it was lively, the music is too loud to hear over the table in the first floor.
Amazing!! Loved the food, loved the plCe
