The food was good, and out Waiter was knowledge and provided great service! Hostess seemed stylish but doesn’t seem happy to be there. No smile, seems mildly annoyed with talking to customers. We had a reservation, and she didn’t have a great answer for why she couldn’t accommodate outdoor seating. Just repeated twice, the reservation is for indoors. Needs more training on empathy, positive and how to handle those situations.
The food was underwhelming but the service was great.
We stopped by for some drinks and dessert. Service was awesome from host to server everyone was friendly quick and organized. This was our 2nd time there. Definitely going back.
Great setting - great food.
Love the food and drinks! Sometimes the hostess can be a bit rude, but other than that I am a repeat customer.
I’ve been coming here for years, whether dining in or ordering out. Service was awful though. My salad came out 15 minutes after everyone’s entrees were brought to the table. For a Monday night, that shouldn’t happen. Food is always consistent but service was very off.
Host staff was horrible
Asked for non gluten everything because a person with us has ciliac disease. none of this was followed and ended up being more of a headache when they promised to bring out something else 3 times and failed to do so. Pretty awful experience, won’t be going back anytime soon.
There was a hair in the chicken patty burger and we requested for a veggie omelette they added non veg to the eggs like a meat I don’t consume .....:( let so they don’t listen what a customer wants and give the worst service they did not apologize we did not eat anything but we paid a whole big bill for everything that they messed up
We had a very nice experience. Sat outside on the patio with our dog Layla. Staff was great! Food was delicious. And the frozen Aperol Spritz hit the late brunch needs perfectly!
The 2 different vodka gimlets were excellent. The server offered a sample of the raspberry stout for my date to taste, which he ordered. The Italian wine and beer selections were varied, but pricey. Though a limited Italian menu- the food tasty, but portions are small for the price. We had Meatball and Bruschetta appetizers; Cacio e Pepe and Eggplant Parmesan Dinners.
Would we go back? Yes but for a drink and appetizer.
Fun night out in the West Loop!!
The best! Highly recommend the brunch!
Service was super slow pasta stuck together and there wasn’t enough sauce -
I love this place and hope they can get more staff
They have a great concept
I miss the artichoke dish though
really enjoyed the ambiance. the food was outstanding as always, drinks were good as well. they have such a wonderful selection of different food/drink items. we tried the deconstructed canolli... just wow!!! give that a shot if you get a chance!
Dish was missing an ingredient waitress went to get never came back. Gave us dessert menu never came back for
order & then came back with the bill..not very busy at the time
Great vibe and selections, helpful and attentive server. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
I would not go back. The food was mediocre at best and expensive for what it was. The eggplant parmesan was inedible.
Fantastic cocktails! We had the Herradura with the rosemary, #15. The mac and cheese with pancetta was also excellent.
Food and service was great!
Great service and food! Sat on patio with friends and brought our dog. Will definitely be back!
All around a terrible experience. Can deal with the noise level, but the horrible service and lackluster food for the price you pay is inexcusable. We had a party of 7 on a Monday night. We apparently were invisible to our waitress. Appetizers were decent, enjoyed the octopus , meatballs and burrata. I think our main courses were from another kitchen…?? Ravioli was cold and tough, eggplant was burnt, with the exception of the pizza… all of our entrees were sub standard temperature wise, seasoning etc. For over $600 it was beyond disappointing… stay away!
Went alone for a late dinner. Music selection was great! Food was even better. Great staff.
Food is fine, but priced as s high end restaurant. Super expensive for the type and quality of food.
Under staffed and very slow
Our server Paris was wonderful and elevated our dining experience. Two of us loved our meals. We sat outside and it was rainy but it felt cozy and still fun. The vibe is great.
Great food, Great service. Vibe was very energetic.
The short rib lasagna was great
Had the salmon entree, which was outstanding, very delicious. Also had the kale and quinoa salad and tuna carpaccio appetizer. All very good. It is "I can't hear myself think" loud in the bar/restaurant, so we chose to sit outside. It was raining, but we sat under a tent and had a very enjoyable meal.
Was there for brunch on Sunday. Very mediocre food. There were 3-4 small slices of steak for the steak and eggs and some of it was gristly. The waffle potato pancake was not good.
We had a really great time. Will definitely come again!
Great outdoor space, perfect for people watching! Service was excellent, but hard to hear because music was crazy loud! On the whole, food was very average, lacked flavor. Tuna carpaccio appetizer was phenomenal!
Calzone and meatballs were fantastic. Our server disappeared for large gaps of time so it was hard to find her to order additional drinks. However, good overall.
I’m sad to report Bar Siena is just not what it used to be. I think if you are here for drinks and a party vibe, it’s good still. But it’s no longer a foodie destination like it used to be. I came here with my family of 6, and sat at a booth, but the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other without shouting. We ordered a pitcher of sangria that tasted more like juice than sangria, just way too sweet. While the octopus appetizer, fire pie pepperoni pizza, Sweet Corn Ravioli, and brussel sprouts were good; the rest of the pasta dishes we ordered were just bland. We just were so underwhelmed with the whole experience, that we closed out and headed somewhere else for dessert. Bummed because this used to be one of our favorite places too.
