The two-story restaurant, spanning 8,000-square-feet, is located in the heart of restaurant row in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. Upon entering, there is a bustling bar and on the second floor, a vibrant dining room, both connected by an arresting illuminated sculpture inspired by Siena Tavern's olive tree icon.
Bar Siena is the perfect location for weekday lunch, dinner, happy hour or weekend brunch. If you're looking for something a little sweeter, stop by Bar Siena's side-concept and walk-up window, BomboBar, located on Green Street. Grab a coffee, bomboloni, gelato or hot chocolate to go!

What Insiders Are Saying
Bar Siena is great for a fun gathering in the West Loop. Go heavy on the pizza and pastas. And drinks. You're going to want those too.
I’ve been here before and received very good service, but this time it seemed like our waiter was handling a lot of tables and it took awhile to put in our orders as well as get our check. Like I said I’ve usually had good experiences here, tonight just seemed off.
Good food and atmosphere. A larger party was coming in so I little disappointed we were asked to leave before we wanted to, but otherwise service was great
We sat upstairs where it was quiet enough to have a conversation and away from the bar scene. I recommend that for the older crowd.
Have been to Siena Tavern and expected a similar vibe. Felt like like a big college reunion going on. Staff was too attentive, too hard to hear my friend across the table to use this as a place to catch up.
Bar Siena was great! They have a great selection of freshly made foods and ingredients. We ordered the burrata, and it was delicious. There was a bit more cheese to sweet topping ratio but it was still amazing. Then we had the lobster tagliatelle. The pasta was so fresh and the sauce was a great creamy consistency. Absolutely delicious!
Easy spot before any United Center event
Fig pizza was amazing! The avocado toast had good flavor, but had too much avocado (never thought it'd be a bad thing) so the bread became mushy when paired with egg. Over not a bad brunch place. The noise was a little loud upstairs so our group had to talk up a bit more, but nothing too inconvenient.
Food was amazing; service was ‘good’ but they were very busy so I’m sure that’s what contributed to it. Great ambiance! On the pricey side.
Wonderful atmosphere and very good food. A great experience.
Everything was delicious, especially cocktail #3!
We are moving to the West Loop from the north shore (suburbs). We told our realtor we need to be in walking distance from Bar Siena.
Incredibly delicious food and a fantastic server. Had a wonderful meal of steak with fennel salt and truffle potatoes not to mention the killer Hotter Chocolate! 😋 yum!
One of our diners was Gluten free and the staff was very knowledgeable. This helped tremendously. Will be back
The food was great, it was so loud in there you could hardly hear anything. It was super crowded on a Saturday afternoon, and there is only a one person at a time bathroom on the upper level.
Excellent place for a great weekend dinner!! Only downside is that their cocktails are a bit pricey. However, they are really good and this is fairly typical for West Loop restaurants
Wouldn't be my first choice. Food was just OK. Server was plenty nice ... ambiance was OK.
I was celebrating my birthday and appreciated the birthday dessert they gave me!
Love this restaurant! Great food and fun atmosphere.
Bar Sienna is a cool, trendy restaurant in West Loop. The food is good and atmosphere is always lively. Drinks are a bit pricey, which is expected for the neighborhood.
This place is a winner all around. It took a while to get our drinks but otherwise great service. Cuisine is ridiculously delicious. Buy extra donuts to bring home. We ate ours for the past two days, still unbelievable!
The food, service and ambience were all wonderful. I noted it was an anniversary when making the reservation. The waiter arrived at our table and immediately said happy anniversary. I don’t ever recall that happening at other restaurants for special events. The salumi appetizer was outstanding. Great pastas.
First time visit! Must admit better than expected! Outstanding service! Enjoyed bloody Mary’s, wings, octopus, shrimp and artichoke for appetizers! All equally delicious! Entrees tomahawk lamb chops, black truffle risotto and lobster tagliatelle! Again equally delicious! Definitely coming back!
Great food! Our server was super sweet. Overall I’m pretty glad we went here because we had about a 4 hour brunch since our group of friends hadn’t gotten together in a while. Only thing stopping me from giving this place 5 stars across the board was that our food was slow to arrive and towards the end our dessert was slow and espresso was served to us late/cold. But our server was kind enough to replace it for us.
Way too loud!!! Don’t go here if you want to dine and have any sort of a conversation. Food was pretty good, nothing to make me want to come back, but the service was a bit lacking. Had to leave cause they cranked the music up so loud it was like a nightclub.
Lovely venue with a unique, great menu. Will frequent again.
I have been wanting to try Bar Siena for some time. Family and I headed to Hawks game so we did. Meatballs and Burrata were great. Duck Mac N Cheese more like pesto and no cheese and couldn’t taste the duck. Short rib lasagne was flavorful but seemed dry. Arrived at 5:30, and the music got progressively louder and the service got less attentive. Server was good, personable, just not great. Out the door for $170 for the four of us, no alcohol. Too pricey for a Monday night family dinner with mediocre service and okay food
Definitely a place to check out on in the Randolph area. Lots of energy. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Made great suggestions.
This was just an all-around fantastic brunch experience fro start to finish. One of the few places where I felt the value was there for the price, and each and every item we ordered was fabulous!
45 minutes late in seating us for a 7:45 reservation
Excellent service and food. Celebrated my daughters 16th birthday with a few of her friends. Sweet Corn Ravioli was a huge hit!! We tried several appetizers and a pizza, all were very good. I would highly recommend a visit.
The food was great, but service was pretty slow. Took about 10 minutes for them to come up and take our drink order, and then another 15 for just appetizer order. Then our appetizer order came out just minutes before our lunch. He never came back for a second drink order (we had to ask a busboy to track him down). My now husband and I had actually gotten married at the courthouse downtown that morning, and were looking to celebrate with a nice (splurgy!) lunch, and he didn't really give us the opportunity, so we ended up getting out of there quickly after eating. We obviously didn't tell him we had just gotten married (mostly because he was not very warm towards us) but we had marked on our OpenTable reservation that it was a special occasion we were celebrating, and that obviously did not get passed along to our waiter. Not sure what they do with that information.
We were seated upstairs and had a beautiful view of the place. The food was delicious. Truly pleasant experience.
Drinks are good tried pasta and it was so so
Good lunch, one of my favorite spots.
The food was not only mediocre, but it was also really overpriced. The carrot appetizer was basically one roasted carrot shredded into tiny strings, and glazed with something sweet. The vine-ripened tomatoes on the avocado toast were not ripened and had no taste. The rest of the avocado toast was an exercise in knife-skills due to the bread being so tough. Too many great options in the neighborhood to ever eat here again. On a nice note, Mitchell our server was competent.
The staff was very friendly and hardworking. The food was incredible and portions were a good size. Ordering something from the Bombobar menu is a must!
Great brunch menu. The avocado toast was delicious.
Loved the eggs Benedict. Cool ambiance and atmosphere is chill but hip
My only complain is that I order a Bloody Mary and it didn't came as it should have been they forgot the celery.
