Bar Reyna was designed as an energetic gathering place where the vibe, food and drinks intermix to create a wholly unique restaurant experience. Our menu features an eclectic mix of table snacks and larger plates that traverse the Mediterranean.
Every Thursday Jessica Rose performs live jazz on the winterized back patio and Sundays guests can enjoy 1/2 price bubbly while noshing on the unique brunch menu.
Bar Reyna is available for private events and large groups. Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcome!.
As always, lovely casual lunch in patio area. Staff are very attentive.
Great ambiance and service
We went for buck a shuck oysters with a 6 pm reservation since it said on the online menu that it started at 4 pm and went until supplies last. Our waitress said it ended at 6 pm and charged us $2 per oyster. They give you barely any lemons and sauces for a dozen oysters! We ordered some cocktails and more food. The bill was about 100$ for 2 people before tip. Then as soon as we paid, the girl told us to move to another table as she has other people with reservations coming in a few minutes.
Where do I begin!! Our server (said her name is Z) was so thoughtful and helpful. For someone as indecisive as me who takes 3 hours to pick meals, she made it easy and fast by recommending what to get and what the best sellers were. She was very honest about her thoughts on the food. Great vegetarian options! (Falafel taco mmmm)
The drinks were bomb, the patio is soooo cute and super great for insta pics 😂 the Mediterranean food was beyond delicious and for the price we were pleasantly surprised especially seeing how this gem resides in Yorkville. They even have a happy hour for half price bottles of wine 4-6 so I’m definitely coming back for that next time. Really great place to head out with the girls or to take someone out on a date; my boyfriend loved it just as much as I did. 12/10, this is my new favourite place to recommend
What a great find. The atmosphere was great and loved our Brunch. I plan to come back to try more of the menu.
Great tapas style food and ambiance. Serves we’re lovely, highly recommend
The food is AMAZING!!!
We ordered a set of sharing dishes:
Lambshank Baklava is deadly good,
Spanish fries were awesome,
Lebanese falafel tacos .....all delicious and fresh
I’m a fan of gin - recommend the Foggy Dew (super tasty)
Service was great, we had a lovely and attentive waiter.
The table beside us was a bit loud.... but they were just having fun 😊
Will definitely come back!
Great ambience and well appointed. The calamari is very very good. Generous salad portion but nothing special regarding taste. Very friendly servers for the most part. Would return.
Hmm, well, I went to Bar Reyna a while back and loved it. This time there were two of us and we were put at the table under the stairs on the patio, so my friend's view was of an old sack hanging in a window. and a corned of some sort of debris. Not delightful. I ordered the beef short rib grilled cheese. If there was even an ounce of beef in it I would be astonished. Other than that it was OK, well cheese, nicely toasted. good salad, nice dressing. A bit small for $16. We shared a pitcher of the Sangria, which was excellent, as it had been last time around. Left with a nice buzz on. My friend said his Shashuka was nice but I am not sure if he was just saying so, as I had suggested the venue. A tad disappointing all round, if I'm honest.
Outstanding restaurant!! Food was exquisite ..delish! We loved the ambience and will definitely be back!!
The outdoor space is beautiful and provides a great dining experience. The staff are really friendly and the french toast is amazing. My only complaint is that the service can be a touch slow. Also, I ordered the grilled cheese with the short rib to go and the short rib tasted like it had gone bad.
Wonderful experience all around!
Amazing restaurant! Would recommend and go again!! Staff are so friendly and food was amazing.
The cocktails were unique and delicious, service was outstanding, and I'm already looking forward to going back just to order the lamb baklava again!
I would recommend it for drinks and the live jazz on Thursdays. The food was very mediocre.
I had been waiting to go to Bar Reyna for the longest time, more so for their back patio. The space was amazing and beautiful, I went for brunch with my family and it was the perfect location. The people were very friendly and the food was good. The food did take a while and there were a few mistakes with our order but other than that I was very pleases with my visit.
Made reservation the previous day, wanted to be seated on the terrace, when arrived was given small table behind the bar! When I asked, was told there are no reservations for the terrace, around us were empty tables, why the reservation when I could of walked in and have a table? Finally after waiting for an hour we were moved to outside one ! Food was nice but nothing outstanding! Staff only got attentive when most of the other guest left! Would not go there again, a lot better places around!
The food was delicious and the back patio was beautiful as always. My favorite dishes were the halloumi cheese souvlaki, falafels taco, and the beet salad. To tell you the truth everything was delicious and they gave generous pours on all drinks.
Drinks after work
The server told us that we should definitely try Lamb baklawa as it is one of their specialty and when we ordered that the server came back and said that they are running out of it. She should have known that before recommending it. It was our first visit that kind of spoiled the experience a bit. Vibe is great, seating is perfect at the patio but it was too loud. I expected more in terms of food quality. Ordered Oysters mushroom skewer but it was so charred that it was hard to figure out if there were any oysters in it. I try new places quite often and based on that first experience, I decide whether to visit again or not or to recommend to friends so in this case that first experience wasn't quite worth visiting again.
We loved every morsel we ate. Service was terrific too. But management thinks excessively loud music creates atmosphere. Wrong!
Great value and quality for food, but the downstairs level feels so hot and muggy, there’s not much space at your table, slow service, and I did not find seating comfortable. Probably won’t be back because for me, comfort is everything.
Great space. Excellent brunch. Pleasant service. And they take reservations.
Great patio, food, ambiance. Can’t wait to go back.
Perfect service, recommendations of wine and food, exactly what we had in mind. Decor is so nice, welcoming.
It was great! Awesome food, great service and the price was on point! Would definitely recommend!
We had enjoyed brunch once before so came back. However this night the shape of the plates meant cutlery falls off; knife on floor and we were asked if we wanted ' a clean knife???' ; no room on table to put all the plates; multiple dip dishes all the same; we couldn't crack open the lobster claw and neither could the waiter who took it away gripped in the tool; it came back all broken up still attached to shell pieces, pretty much inedible; too little meat in the half lobster for 38.00 (little shrimp came later on a plate). Music ok but so loud we had to yell at one another the whole time. Please indicate on website how we can book seats outside. Lots of potential but more thought needed about the diner's whole experience.
We were unfortunately 20 minutes late for our table and.lost our reservation at the patio. We were then seated at the front patio and had a great meal. The only thing is that when I received a call at the 15 minutes point of being late, I didn't recognize the # due to a strange area code number. Also the number to the restaurant doesn't work. Overall experience was great!
I’ve been here a few times, and usually have a good experience. This time however I sat with an empty wine glass, while my date was able to finish a whole glass before a server come back to the table. Not that he wasn’t in the area, he just didn’t bother to look or come to the table.
Needless to say, I did not order another glass and we asked for the bill.
The food was delicious but very small portions. Ordering multiple plates to share was fun but quite pricey that way. A really fun place to sit and chat.
I came for dinner at 5:30pm. I was not informed about happy hour. Table next to was.
The food was very salty, had the Mediterranean fries, chicken souvlaki, tacos. The baklava was ok.
Was very disappointed with the food. I dined here before, and came back because I loved the restaurant.
Really disappointed this time.
The patio in the back is beautiful but you need a functioning AC in the summertime. It was waaaaay too hot.
Loved it! The staff are wonderfully accommodating and friendly. Breath of fresh air in yorkville.
Service wasn’t great. 3/4 of our dishes came before our drinks even arrived at our table. Our last dish was supposed to be octopus and it came out with shrimp instead. The lobster on the skewer has also completely fallen off. We were not told when we ordered that the dish would be altered. Manager came over and basically just told us oh well they were offering the same value with the change. Heard great things so was very disappointed in the experience. Food was still very tasty but expensive for what you got.
Enjoyed my lunch at Reyna, great for sharing dishes, and the back patio was cozy. Would recommend Reyna for a casual lunch with good food.
Wait staff wouldn't let us order a wine special (4-6pm) at 6:05PM even though the original wait staff asked us if we wanted to partake in another glass of wine at the wine special price.
The oysters were sold out on Tuesday at 6PM souring the entire dining experience!
Great for tapas. Lovely patio in the back. Oysters on Tuesday but all gone by 4:30!
This place is magical! Try the tacos, they're fantastic.
Love this place so much!! Such fantastic food and the back patio is so cute.
