Book your special, one-of-a-kind dining experience with Bar-Ranch Steak Company. Primarily a craft butchery emporium, at the turn of the clock we transform into a exquisite dining establishment. You will enjoy a very intimate setting with a unique view of our one-of-a-kind dry-aging room. Highlighted by a 300 sqft illuminated Himalayan salt wall, you will see cuts of prime and exotic beef such as Akaushi Wagyu, Kuroge Washu Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, A5 Wagyu (Snow Beef) from Hokkaido Japan, American Wagyu and some of the very best USDA Black Angus Beef you will ever experience.
Please Note: Dinners are a Pre-Set menu for 2 that include 5 courses with an average cost of $150 per person.

The food was great, the experience was better. We learned about every cut of meat and the aging process. We had a fantastic time. The steak was very good, the potatoes were my favorite dish! Highly recommend this spot for special occasions.

This is a high dollar dining experience well worth 5 stars but not for the bargain hunter. This is a place for those wanting to splurge. Be prepared to drop $200 per person. It is well worth the money spent but your evening may get off to a bad start if you are surprised by the prices on the menu. The owner and employees are very friendly and will visit with you during your meal as well as explain the aging of their beef in the glass encased butcher room where you can see beef hanging in quarters and smaller cuts. They also sell exquisite cuts of amazingly tender wagyu beef during the day for you to cook at home.

It's an awesome dining experience if you are prepared to pay for it. Don't get a reservation if you are on any form of budget.

Lane and his team provides a unique small intimate dining space that caters to what is important: you. The service was top notch and very attentive. Every dish from the steaks, to the salad and sides were crafted as if they were the main dish. The timing and pacing of each dish was perfect as it allowed us to eat, take breaks to talk and interact and then dive back in.

Great small venue with excellent view of the aging room and good service. They obviously know their steaks! Maybe a bit pricey for most people given a fixed price dinner for two will be at least $300 and closer to $500 if you get a nice wine and one of the ore expensive steak choices. A unique experience and interesting way to see, hear about, smell and taste good steak.

We went for our anniversary dinner and it was an incredible experience! Highly recommend. The steak was better than any high end steakhouse like some of the NYC places with an even better experience in the intimate setting and fantastic, attentive service. The brussel sprouts were amazing too. This is a gem in the DFW area and Plano is very lucky to have them in downtown! We will definitely be back.

It’s the transcendent steak experience you’ve always wanted. Tiny place- only 4 or 6 tables.

The meat quality and preparation is just as good as it’s going to get. Be prepared- it’s going to be probably 50% more than you’re used to dropping on fine dining, but the value is there if you just want the absolute best.

Owner is a good dude and has put together a great concept. Looking forward to the next special occasion so I can have an excuse to go back.

Food was spectacular. Every course was perfect. I get what they are doing but its simply very, very pricey. The steak was enough for 5 and we had steak sandwiches for lunch and another steak dinner the next night. Its small so they are not going for mass dining but with the price of the meal I would think they could do something similar for 4 making it just expensive. If I recommend it only if folks know what they are getting into beforehand. GREAT food.....very pricey!

I had been following this place since before it opened. Was very excited to try it once it did. Wife and I went for our 5th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed! I’ve been to a lot of steakhouses over the years and have come across some amazing steaks. Bar-Ranch is right up at the top. This place has it down from the unique dining experience (nothing quite like it from a steakhouse side of things), and unbelievable quality of food. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Celebrated a special occasion here a few weeks ago and still dreaming of this amazing meatlovers/foodie experience! Such a charming place, and will definitely have to make return trips to try their other unique aged meat varieties, as well as their lunch menu and butchershop! Just take a peek into their downtown Plano storefront aging room window, and you can sense the passion and unique outlook they put into their aged meats. This hidden gem has definitly earned a spot in our DFW fine dining faves!

-Only 6 or so tables, so it was a very tailored, intimate and attentive dining experience.
-Server was very friendly and provided great recommendations, and it also was so neat being able to closely watch the chef cut the meat right out of the aging room, and then prepare it on their open grill.
-Great wine selection.
-Dinner style is a "featured dinner for 2", but plenty of options to choose from for each course.
-Our Food Order: The "Cote de Boeuf" cut wet-aged entree we selected was worthy of being served on a silver platter (it really does come served on one!), Wagyu Crostini appetizer had us excited to get to the main entree, both salad options were great and really large portions, & our 2 side dish selections Creamed Corn and the Garlic Parmesan Potatoes were also hefty portions (the server said the Potatoes were being served in a "wedge" cut that night instead of "creamed" from the menu. Very flavorful and with such an amazing crisp - Aside from the meat, I would come back just for these potatoes!) The Poached Glazed Pears with Ice Cream dessert was a light and perfect ending to the meal.

An absolute killer dinner that transported us back to the Meat Packing Distrcit NYC for a hot minute. Bar Ranch and the owner Lane created the perfect little steakhouse fit for NYC or in this case Plano, TX.

Aged steaks both wet or dry. Cuts fit for two (or three!). Fantastic wine selection. Wood fired grill. Frankie on the playlist. And Brando on the brick face walls.

Just perfect.

Can't say enough about the amazing hospitality we got from Luke our server as well. If you have time or are in the Dallas area... 5 star recommended...it's worth the time and meat sweats 😂

For the price the steak was slightly overcooked and not as tender as expected for a medium rare steak.

Husband and I had a much needed, long awaited, date night the Saturday before Valentines. We were lucky enough to get a reservation! We loved every minute of our experience. The ambiance was perfect. Our waiter was attentive, funny, and knowledgeable. The food was AMAZING! We started with an amazing bottle of wine recommended by our waiter. We had the House Cheese Board to start, followed by salad. We chose the Akaushi Wagyu Chateaubriand and it did not disappoint! We ended with the Mascarpone Cream Cheese Torte Cake and had to box it up, we were full! It was such a great experience and we are already excited about going back. We will definitely be picking up some steaks from the butcher shop as well.

First time there - food is off the charts! Beef is dry aged in their on-site butcher shop. Had the 20oz chateaubriand with tallow fried Brussels sprouts and garlic mash. Service was great but watching the chef prepare the meat over an open flame and then enjoying it right off the grill was amazing. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you’re a fan of Wagyu beef.

Excellent experience. The atmosphere was elegant and intimate. Service was wonderful and the food was phenomenal. Hands down the best Brussels sprouts we’ve ever had. Steak had great flavor and presentation was very impressive. The experience is worth the price and unlike any place we’ve been to in the DFW area. Amazing little spot! Lane was awesome & you won't find a better steak anywhere in Texas. Lane guided us through the entire experience & & could not have been more inviting. The wagyu crostini was a great starter & our 110-day dry-aged rib steak was very impressive. The ambiance & music were perfect as well! Thanks again, Lane!

Great meal in an extremely intimate setting. The small staff works hard to not only create a five star meal from a fixed menu, but a quite memorable experience scored with a great piano player. I look forward to a daytime visit to the butcher shop and lunch!
