Great happy hour! Excellent service
Always good! Happy hour wine prices can't be beat!
Service was fantastic; food was very good. Definitely would go back.
Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend the wagyu and potato’s bravas.
So good and the service was amazing!
Our server was really kind and helpful and the happy hour deals were great!
I made a reservation for 7pm on Tuesday and they weren't able to seat me until 7:30pm. I got the impression they weren't really tracking/holding tables for reservations. Once seated, everything was great.
Everything we ate was amazing!
Not blown away, appears to be very overrated. Service was very passive instead of intentional with the menu. Food came out, but we were never asked if we enjoyed our dishes, or if everything was being enjoyed. No upper level management checked in on anything. The tapa buffet was not being replenished well.
They didn’t actually do anything about the fact it was a special event, but we had a blast regardless. Great food, good service. Fun place
Great ambience for a date
Great food and energy in the restaurant. Our server was very helpful and gave us great recommendations! Will definitely be back!
We had an amazing dining experience in this little “hole in the wall” bar. The sommelier was so engaging and gave us a blind tasting with a slew of white wines to try. The blistered shiseto peppers are to die for!
Pretty cool spot to hang out… Their happy hour snacks were really good. There were components of my meal that were really good and some that were just OK. Very cool to have a glass of wine from 1982 though!
It would be better if they actual played Spanish music and the staff had more wine knowledge.
Amazing and attentive staff, incredible food, and awesome wine. What more can you ask for!?
They are new to the brunch/lunch scene, so it wasn't as social as it is at happy hour or dinner time. I sat at the bar, enjoyed the new brunch tapas, red sangria and a couple glasses of gamay and some much needed ME time. Can't wait to come back!
I normally eat here in the evening as it is one of the best in the city for Spanish food, but tried out the Happy Hour on Saturday - fantastic value for money on the wine, although it was a shame that there were no Spanish reds on offer.
Incredible wine selection! Food was amazing. Definitely plan on coming back.
Even though they say they have valet parking- they don't. Came all the way in from Downers Grove so we weren't going to turn around and go home. The clueless staff was no help and directed us to a parking garage around the corner that charges $45 after two hours. Noise level was loud and the play list did not reflect the Spanish atmosphere. It's dark and you can't see what you're eating. Suckling pig was ok if you're into fat. The potato side was cold.
Great happy hour !! The tapas were fantastic as was the service in a small eclectic neighborhood bar ! ❤️
For the quality, presentation & quantity of food it was EXTREMELY OVERPRICED . Service was super slow & facility was not full. We didn’t even order off the Chicago Rest. Week menu. We paid , full price for very basic dishes & bread was considered a dish. We were actually hungry after spending $300 - that included 1 bottle of moderately priced wine & 4 cocktails. There are plenty of good quality tapas restaurants in Chicago, having said that I would not return to Bar Ramone.
Side note - afterwards went to RPM Steak for dessert, pricey but worth it!
Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Perfect small plates to share with friends and great wine pairings thanks to the help of our server. We had a fabulous time and will definitely return.
Wonderful tapas plates that gives your palate the variety it’s been looking for. Soft and cozy inside with an excellent staff and good drinks.
We came for Restaurant Week and weren't disappointed. From excellent wine pairings to opportunities to try new things (like ice fish) to polishing off delicious dessert offerings with subtle flavor additions (like like zest on the peach sorbet) and excellent service, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
We ate lunch there and the food was great! Nice value! We also stopped in for a few wine flights before dinner.
Only reason I gave it three stars for service is we seated an hour late... it was restaurant week which may have had an impact on our reservation
a great experience all around.
Had reservation but had to wait about 20 minutes. Staff was nice. Food was only so/so. Nothing outstanding and with so many great places in Chicago, I won’t be returning.
Everything was delicious especially Happy Hour! Definitely, going back for the Piggy on Sunday :)
Service, food, and ambiance was phenomenal!
The food was crafty and tasty! This is levels above typical tapas restaurants.
The food was delicious. Octopus was very scant and so was short rib.
We had to wait almost 45 min for a table, but the manager Eric & our server acknowledged our wait & gave ya complimentary charcuterie plate & a Perrón of sparkling wine. The service was wonderful, down to the complimentary piece of bday cake & candle. We all felt that although we found a few tasty items, the menu was limited & lacked more sustainable entrees. Although the menu states a mixture of modern & traditional tapas, the menu was mostly modern. The Japanese icefish, XL patatas, shishito, and lamb meatballs were the best of what we ordered. but really, the sharks & lasers drink, the Perrón experience & service was the best part of the night.
