Actually made the reservation at what I thought was Barque Smokehouse and was upset when we first were told it was Barque Butcher Bar but in the end were very happy and will go to the Smokehouse another time. And would return to the Butcher Bar.

Wings were excellent but a bit pricey. Had a reservation, came in and waited by the entrance area but nobody acknowledged me. Didn't see a "seat yourself or wait" sign. After an awkward minute I spotted my friend at a table and joined him. He was sampling beer with the waiter/bartender and my friend ordered a beer. The server walked away without greeting me or asking if I would like a drink. My friend got his beer and I was ignored. Finally after several minutes I turned around and waved at the server behind the bar and he came over and I asked him for a cocktail (I have a feeling he's new because I'm not sure he knew what a long Island iced tea was. ) Anyway once I was settled with my drink all was good. It was just that my first impressions were underwhelming. The female waitress was attentive though.

It had been a year since we ate here and we decided to go back and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and excellent value for what you receive. The staff were very accommmodating to my gluten allergy and we have had fun showing off our pictures to our friends telling them they should go too :)

Very casual and low key, server was professional and friendly. The chicken wings and burger were absolutely delicious! Nice craft beer selection and wine by the glass was nice too. Pricing was perfectly appropriate in my view. I usually go to the “Barque” location and booked this by mistake. Was happy I did! Thanks

Love the BBQ and sides. Good beer selection from small brewers, service and comfortable ambience. We will be back.

Considering the restaurant was 3/4 empty, we thought the level of service left a lot to be desired. It started with a warning to order right away, as a "big group" (7 people!) were about to order, and there was only one person in the kitchen. Then, a forgotten drink order (with no apology), no opportunity to order another drink, then taking forever to get the bill. We've had good experiences at Butcher Bar. This wasn't one of them.
