The neighbourhood Italian restaurant you’ve always dreamed of, Bar Prima features a luxurious atmosphere that evokes a sense of timelessness and nostalgia. The restaurant design captures an old-school charm with dimly lit ambiance, creating an elevated and elegant atmosphere. From Italian disco inspired music to vintage design touches, Chefs Craig Harding and Julian D’Ippolito have curated a space that feels as though it’s been there forever.

Bar Prima can at times feel opulent with its banquets and table lamps but can also feel relaxed and romantic. We seek to share our passion for food, beverage and hospitality, creativity and design with our open-minded guests!

De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: Avec son plafond voûté en feuilles d'or, ses accents bleu royal et son sol incrusté de marbre, le Bar Prima est un coup de cœur dès que vous franchissez la porte. Le menu du restaurant, basé sur des plats italo-américains raffinés comme les spaghetti all'amatriciana et la côte de veau marsala, contribue aussi à l'effet « wow ». Pour les boissons, la carte des vins vole la vedette, avec un éventail allant des classiques italiens aux bouteilles naturelles et originales.

                                                            Good food and service but it’s really small and cramped in there. It’s good for 2 people but you won’t be able to hear anything but the background noise they pay over the speakers.

                                                            The atmosphere of this restaurant is great, very nice attention to detail in the service which was perfect. Food was fresh, tasty. We shared parts of each service. The Rockefeller was excellent, the tagliatelle was al dente and perfect, the duck was very interesting. Short wine list for a restaurant of this stature. On the expensive side but wasn’t shocked as we expected it.

                                                            Very disappointed ! Bass Crudo - bland and sparse Beef Tartare - way over done with vinegar. Difficult to taste anything beyond that plus the accompanying crackers burnt and tasteless Lobster pasta - would have been excellent except for the overwhelming heat. Numbed my taste buds. Table next to ours complained of the heat as well Why? Black cod was amazing but for $48 it should have come with at least some sort of garnish. Instead I ordered a side of rapini that was over doused with lemon My wife and I were so looking forward to the dinner What a disappointment. Staff and atmosphere were outstanding though

                                                            Excellent food. Rushed, disrespectful service on a big cheque (500CAD for two people). While we understand restaurants having a tight schedule and timings for their reservations, we were kicked out ahead of our time, despite other diners being there before us and not asked to free their table. Not a good place for an important meal such as a date, celebration, or business. We never write reviews, but we believe people deserve to know. Try Edulis or Dailo, instead, much better options, you will feel at home.

                                                            Great food, fun and tasty sharing menu, perfect for a dinner two as all dishes are easily shareable for at two for a diverse dinner. Great service with excellent wine recommendations.
