Off the Pendry Chicago lobby within the historic Carbide & Carbon building, Bar Pendry is a celebration of a classic Chicago cocktail bar. Walk-ins are always encouraged, with reservations taken only for Boozy Tea. With interiors designed by world-renowned design firm Studio Munge, the sophisticated lounge is tucked behind heavy floor-to-ceiling drapery and boasts a dark and moody atmosphere with custom leather sofas, vintage rugs, cozy banquettes and a curated art collection. Anchored around a double-sided fireplace, the 54-person bar offers guests with a selection of classic and seasonal cocktails, wine and local beers along with a menu of elevated bar bites by Pendry Chicago’s Executive Mark Shoemaker and Sunday Afternoon Boozy Tea, available by reservation only.

Treat mom to the perfect Mother’s Day celebration at Bar Pendry’s Boozy Tea, featuring a lively menu of tea-inspired cocktails, a 3-tiered tower of classic sweet and savory tea bites including cucumber sandwiches, spring garden tartlet and tiramisu with live music from some of Chicago’s best. Each guest will receive a welcome mimosa, a cup of Rare Cellars Tea and will enjoy a sweet & savory bite tea tower. All tea-based cocktails are purchased a la carte.

Not worth the cost by a long shot. You’re better off spending a bit more for a nicer tea experience.

Super fun. Food was excellent and the vibe was relaxed and hip - not your traditional Sunday tea. The service was slow but I would go back!

The price of the boozy tea (that includes no booze) is $65, which allows for each person to have only one of each of the tea sandwiches. The selection of tea was fine approx. five options. There weren't options to make dietary accommodations when making the reservations and there were no vegan options available. The waitress/server was generally nice.

We did the boozy tea and it was wonderful. The tea was delicious and flavorful and the small bites were to die for. Our waitress was on top of everything and the brunch music was lively. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I had reservations for high tea. They first sat me at a nice table with comfortable chairs. After being seated and waiting for the rest of my party to arrive, they asked me to move to another table. I agreed but then they sat me at a high table by the bar. My party arrived and we set by the bar which was uncomfortable for high tea. They never sat anyone at the table I was moved from. They never came back to refill hot water either. There are a lot of places in Chicago to have high tea, I do not recommend the Pendry.

Went for high tea and had a wonderful time. Everything was delicious and it was so cozy inside. Definitely recommend for a unique experience!

The Boozy Tea experience was exceptional. Food and tea were delicious. The ambiance,decor and dj playing cool music just loud enough to set the scene/mood was enjoyable.
