This was our first time to Bar Peached and honestly every single thing we got was delicious. The drinks were creative and tasty, the service was good and it had a creative atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.
The food and drinks were amazing! We were so pleased and they made it easy to order plate by plate since we couldn’t decide how hungry we were. Everything was well explained before the food hit the table and whenever the food was brought out (including server recommendations on how they enjoy the food). We will be back :)
Food was great and different. Loved the chicken wings but a little messy. Try some of the cocktails. Can be very loud inside if crowded.
Our server was great! The food and drinks were delicious.
Great outdoor area. Perfect for happy hour, drinks and small plates seem like their best. Service is very good.
Install mist fans on upper deck and outside patio areas - also install insect repellant candles - to fend off mosquitos and flies!
Bar Peached is great! Love the cocktails, food, vibe, and staff.
Loved everything!!! Our service was amazing!
GREAT restaurant - definitely one of my favorites in Austin! Service can be a little slow because it's always SO busy (which is a good thing!), so I just recommend you order your next round of drinks before you think you need it and try not to be in a hurry. The food is delicious, staff is always super friendly, the whole place is adorable and it's a really fun vibe. Awesome value, too.
Food is ok.. tried it so many times but every time bar peached adds unnecessary ingredients to each plate
Food is quire good, though the menu could use one or two lighter options. Great service- friendly, knowledgeable and efficient
Great place. Bobby was a great server. He was slammed but was still attentive and courteous. My wife and I enjoyed this place immensely and will definitely be back
If you want to have a conversation, don't sit inside. It is SO loud. But, if you don't want to be sweltering hot, don't sit outside. The few fans they had on the patio did not reach all corners of the patio. Unfortunately we sat at one of the end tables and didn't have any fan breeze coming our way. The food is SO good, but I had a hard time enjoying all the spices and flavors because I was SO hot already. I will definitely go again, but when it is cooler outside.
I'm a big fan of Peached Tortilla on Burnet and even supported them before brick and mortar when it was just the food truck bouncing around Austin. And...I want to love Bar Peached. Yet, there's not a significant leap of new ideas at Bar Peached. The menu is far too close to Peached Tortilla to make this a great alternative spot, with creative leaps inspired by the original. Seems to be more or a Peached downtown (though the location doesn't place it truly downtown). We visited this former Winflow spot on 6th and, fortunately, hit it on a pleasant (read...not blistering hot or rainy) day. The outdoor seating is a compromise to the very limited interior seating (the AC was freezing inside, by the way). Yet, the bulk of the outdoor seating is on the backside of the parking lot. They've tried to dress it up a bit but there's been no great landscaping/hardscaping ideas applied to the space. Not a huge distraction but far from reaching it's potential to be an intriguing place to eat.
On to the food - The tacos are effectively the same as the Burnet location...but, not as good! The brisket and pork tacos were stuffed with tired, mashed meat. Really uninspired. The cauliflower's a bit of an exception. Crunchy and fresh. The Cheese Corn was bland and only mildly interested. (My wife is sensitive to spice and even she agreed it was average). The Pork Shoulder was very good. Nicely prepared and thoughtfully mixed with peanut scallion sauce, pea shoots and watermelon relish. Pretty cool! Finally, the Brussel Sprouts was prepped better than elsewhere (not fried to death but big chunks of the veggie).
The Bar - I really appreciate Kevin Kok's concoctions coming out of the bar. He's a true craft cocktail pro with such enthusiasm to make the drinking experience something special. His work, alone ensures I can give a qualified recommendation for Bar Peached.
Happy hour is a great deal and cocktails were good. Took over an hour to get my entree after everyone else.
The inside was surprisingly loud and the interior is about two levels more casual than the prior owners. Most frustrating, we had a waitress tells us she would be with us shortly and the. Focus her attention on the 6 top that was sat after us. After the drink order came back wrong, we went down the street to another place. I can excuse a ton being a prior server- but it was 6:00 not 8:30
We were happy to be outside because the inside was way too loud. We ordered an appetizer and drinks, and ordered our meal when the drinks came. The appetizer came and we enjoyed it, and then quite a while later, the waiter came back and asked us if we wanted another drink. We ordered another, and a few minutes later, he stopped by to tell us the status of the drinks and then asked if we were waiting on anything else. We gave our order again and he looked at us blankly and went away. Our second round of drinks came and then quite a while later our food, but we had to ask for clean plates and never got a serving outensil for one of the dishes. We got one dessert to split and asked for the check. The waiter said our bill got lost so we had to tell him again what we ordered. The bill came, charging us for two desserts and one of four drinks. We just decided that was pretty fair, given the service. The table behind me seemed to have exactly the same issues, and they had the same waiter.😂
Our 7:15 reservation wasn't ready until after 8:00. The food was ok but portions were tiny and they forgot one dish. It then took another 45 to get the fried rice. Manager tried to make it right and bought a round of drinks but I would not go back for dinner. Period. Maybe a good place to stop for a drink.
Loud but great
Everything was wonderful...just a tad too noisy sitting inside.
Great food and drinks. Very original, but not in an over the top foodie tiny-plate way where you feel like you need to pick up a burger on the way home to not be starving.
Patio was a nice ambiance. Very good wait staff.
The downstairs patio area is fantastic and we had a blast. Great food and great service.
My wife and I had out wedding anniversary dinner and it was wonderful. The food was always expected to be great but it was the nice gestures by the staff who really made the night memorable. Truly thankful for their efforts.
The ambience of this place was perfect! The service was excellent and the food was amazing!! Not pricey at all and such a cute setting.
Amazing chimichurri sauce and bolognese sauces! A little too loud for our taste, however.
Bar Peached makes sense for the location. The experience was nice and the energy was great but the food needs work. The toast was a letdown compared to the moms toast at Peached Tortilla. The Brussels were the yodas from Ramen Tatsu-Ya, and the Tri-Tip was almost exactly the Tiger Cry dish from Sway.
Go for snacks and drinks but get your meal somewhere else.
This has been my third visit to this restaurant. Living in the area, I always look forward to a new restaurant. I have had horrible experiences each time I have eaten here. Of the three times I’ve been, this was finally the first time the host made any attempt to seat me at the table I had gotten a reservation for instead of seating my party and I indoors. The waiters have been incredibly rude, and have assumed the same mentality I guess any person would that thinks that a 2.5 hour wait time is reasonable for a restaurant. I was told that my party was lucky they weren’t busy tonight or they wouldn’t have bothered splitting our check. The food is fine, the staff needs to be replaced. Well on your way to the “80 percent” rule.
Mother’s Day brunch - arrived 25 minutes early for our reservation but staff was friendly and accommodating. Seated inside near the bar and the restaurant was quite chilly - mentioned to waitress and she seems to have adjusted it. Our food and Bloody Mary’s were both excellent, although the pacing of the prix fixe menu was off - long waits between courses and long gaps between seeing our server. GM came over to apologize for delays though, which was nice, and overall it was a long but pleasant experience.
The Korean fusion falls short of anything original. They’re following a formula that doesn’t have a WOW factor. Food was cold and I mean that both physically and emotionally - waiters didn’t seem proud of the food, nor did the restaurant kitchen staff. Total food buzz riding a wave of mediocre commitment to uniqueness. Side note, their sister property - Peached Tortilla - is similar.
We have been wanting to try Bar Peached and it did not disappoint. The patio is beautiful and the service and food were outstanding. Best way to celebrate Mother's Day. Thank you.
meh - even though the tacos were good, they were served cold, and the tortillas were dry. The brussel sprouts were tasty but way way too oily - good spice though - again it could have been better if not served at room temperature.
The bolognese was ok.
Overall there is a big hype but the food didn't match the reviews at all.
The location is pretty cool though, restaurant is in a house - very clever.
Nice atmosphere, cozy and comfortable. Good food, Great service.
The food was outstanding. Next time we will sit outside because it is difficult to hear inside because the noise is so loud.
Fun dinner joint. Good food, great service and drinks. Almost all seating is outdoors. We had a great time.
REally enjoyed the food. Our server, Rafael, was a "Peach"!! Very nice, attentive - did a good job. One of us spilled red wine....bar tender saw it and immediately brought soda, cloths, etc. - wow! Only negative is the interior dining room is VERY loud...4 at a table had trouble hearing each other and had to talk very loudly. Will go back though!
Awesome staff. food was delicious ! Can’t wait to go back. We had the kale, I Highly recommend And the Brussel sprouts .
If you like Peached Tortilla, you’ll enjoy sipping on some draft cocktails under a large live oak with killer food. Highly reccomend stopping by
The service was awesome--the table they reserved for us ended up going 45 minutes into our reservation, so they had to seat us in the last table (which is kind of in the parking lot tbh), so they sent out 3 shared plates for the table and brought us drinks during happy hour so we could at least enjoy the happy hour menu! The food was amazing, the mapo bolognese was killer! All in all, would go back for sure!
It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday! They take a Polaroid pic of your party and bring birthday bingsu to your table! It’s the best!
Inside was way too loud for our tastes. We would have liked to have been outside, but the wait was 1.5 hours. If you are going to go, book early and ask for outside.
