Bar One Ratings and Reviews
My boyfriend and I went Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised - they had updated their menu with some fall seasonal items. The roast pork gobbler sandwich was HUGE and delicious! They had all of our favorite beers on tap as well. Will definitely go back to check out brunch!
I was immediately greeted when I entered the bar and was able to choose which table I sat at for brunch. Anything I had questions about on the menu was explained and service was prompt. When the chicken and waffles arrived for brunch, they were the best wings I've had in a long time. Crispy on the outside yet juicy and flavorful on the inside. The atmosphere was upbeat and everyone who worked there promoted the fun environment. I will be visiting again for dinner and happy hour in the future.
I have dined here several times since it's opening for both dinner and brunch . I've come with my husband , my girlfriends and recently with couples .
All I can say is - outstanding !!!
The food is so unique , the atmosphere is warm and cheerful , and the service great.
It's a must try !
Not needing a rez for a party of 7 on Sat morning is nice. Food was really great, girlfriend said the pancake she had was the best ever. I had cannoli pancakes and they were delightful. Being out of a couple of things, not having a draft list and messing up the first cocktail we ordered, when we were the only people in the entire place, were down notes. Messing up the credit card charges at the end also was not great. But based on the food and music alone, I'd definitely give them at least one more try.
My friends and I consider BarOne our new favorite place to hangout and get some food and drinks. We started going there for their Tuesday night Quizzo, but come back for the easygoing atmosphere and great food! In my opinion, their happy hour is one of the best in the city. The service has been wonderful every time I've been there, even when it is fully packed! I recommend it to any and every one that appreciates a good time. Although my friends and I love the food, variety of drinks, and good ambiance, we REALLY keep coming back for their awesome playlist! :)
Came with a few friends for their Tuesday Quizzo night and had a great time. Our server Michael was great and super attentive. I literally cannot get enough of the cheesesteak mussels!! This time I also had the couscous salad and meatball of the day. Will be back again next week!
I'm not one to complain through reviews but after my experience dining here, I couldn't resist saying something. I heard about Bar One through social media where they advertise unique Italian meals that looked pretty good so I decided to take a date there. When walking in, the music was so loud I could barely hear myself think, yet alone have a conversation. We decided to stay and try the food. The food and service were pretty good, however the Rap music blasting throughout my entire meal completely ruined it. For two people to have an appetizer, (2) meals, and a couple drinks that come to over $100, I don't expect to have lil Wayne music on so loud that I can't hear someone directly across from me talk.
So we ordered 2 kinds of mussels, one pasta and one sandwich and shared everything. We did the French onion and cheesesteak mussels. Wow. Before eating it, you're thinking no way can cheesesteak mussels can be good. But they're incredible. It just works. Can't believe no one though of French onion before because it's so amazing. Buffalo chicken pasta had us feeling similar to cheesesteak mussels. Like what could be this be, but again. Incredible. Lamb burger was the best burger I've ever had. Anywhere. Such an awesome creative and casual meal. Staff was like hanging with friends.
Caught the tail end of happy hour. Half off everything, food and drinks, is unheard of. Has to be the best deal in the city, especially considering how good everything was. Best old fashion I've had in a while, with all ingredients frozen into the ice cube. Split a couple apps, a salad and a flatbread. Awesome spot to meet and hang out after work with friends, music is on point. Can't wait to try brunch
I came to BarOne with a friend to watch some Monday night football. The bar is really cute and what I think perfectly defines a neighborhood bar. Really friendly staffer named Marc waited on us who promptly let us know the specials and frequently checked in with us all night (ask for him by name!!) My friend and I shared a bunch of dishes since they all sounded so good! We had the cheesesteak mussels (which were our fave, SO delicious), special for the night which was 2 amazing Italian style meatballs, and the papardelle with short rib. For desert we had awesome pumpkin cheesecake recommended to us by Marc. Definitely will be back!!
Went to Bar One for the first time for brunch. Their menu looks great and everyone in our party loved what they ordered. I recommend the Cannoli French Toast! I will definitely go back to try other items and for dinner as well. Bar One is also a great place to grab a drink and watch a game with multiple TVs and full sports package. Can't wait for the next visit!
Nice ambiance. Very welcoming staff. Good beer selection. iInteresting cocktail list although we did not try any.
The mussels were excellent. We had the French onion version. Also had the cheese steak soft pretzels. The pretzel nuggets were good, but I'll just ask for mustard next time.
Overall a good meal and a nice place. We will be back.
We had a great dining experience prior to a show at Union Transfer on a Sunday night. Service was friendly/exceptional... servers answered all our questions about how the pasta was made, other home-made items on the menu... lobster sauce pasta was phenomenal and I could eat the crunchy spring rolls for every/any meal. Was a perfect venue to meet a few friends and chat. Nice old-fashioned bar--sports on tv--very cozy. THX!
BarOne exceeded my expectations! I met a friend for Brunch to celebrate her birthday. Immediately upon arriving I was warmly welcome and shown to my table. The cocktail list is unbelievable! I wanted to try everything on the list, but I went with a classic Bloody Mary (their special mix was fantastic, just the right amount of spice) and then a Fred Flinstone's Push Pop post meal, which was perfectly satisfying and light. There was also a great list of beers on tap and plenty of spirits to keep you busy. My friend and I split the avocado toast, which had an egg inside of a brioche bun. So decadent! I then had the Kale Caesar salad with actual anchovies on it! I never find that anywhere, so that was a great surprise. Along with the homemade dressing, this made the salad perfect to fill me up without weighing me down. The waitress and bartender were so friendly and genuinely tried to get to know us and cater to our preference. The decor has an awesome vibe, paintings from local artists and a sweet chalkboard wall. I can't wait to go back for dinner or to watch a game!
Way better food than expected. Cheesesteak mussels were fascinating and delicious. Tried two different types of spring rolls, they nailed it. And the pastas as this bar/restaurant were better than some of the highest rated italian restaurants in the city. Hope to meet chef Anthony next time.
This is a new "gastropub" in town where the Wishing Well used to be. They've renovated the building and the place seems more welcoming (there are actually clean bathrooms now!). I took my significant other for date night and we really enjoyed the food and friendly service. Reasonable prices. The woman behind the bar said we should try brunch there next time.
