We arrived on an evening that was very quiet hence received a lot of attention. The waitress was absolutely wonderful, the cook greeted us and we had a very good meal. High recommendation.

This was our best meal in San Miguel. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating, even though our Spanish is poor. We enjoyed the entire dinner, from cocktails to dessert. Everything was perfectly prepared and nicely served. We ate in the dining room, a very nice romantic setting. We have several more days in San Miguel so we look forward to returning for breakfast or another dinner. Wonderful, memorable evening.

We ordered the deviled egg, the fried chicken, the polpo, and the pork ravioli. All were delicious. Our friend said the grilled polpo was very tender. The apple pie and peach cobbler were very tasty. We would recommend this restaurant. Although there is no view from the roof, it is a nice and intimate setting. The chef came out to talk with us. The waitress spoke perfect English and was very attentive. It was a little slow receiving our second round of drinks, but that did not leave a bad impression as everything else was perfect.

I had an excellent experience for dinner with local friend. The hotel is really lovely. The bar and dining room are on the upstairs terrace. I thought my octopus along with a side of asparagus was very good. I highly recommend it.

We had such a great time at this small restaurant.
The dinning room of bar Margaret is located on the rooftop of a small luxury hotel and the whole place is just charming.
We had a group of 4 traveling from Texas and after reading about it in the Houston chronicle we had to come check it out.
The place seemed to be popping when we arrived but even though the dining room was almost full it wasn’t chaotic or overwhelming, it was a great atmosphere. My wife and I started with a margarita and some drink called a green snapper if I’m not mistaken. Both well very good and the bar tender had a great attitude.

For dinner they had two specials going on, soft shell crab tacos and smoked pork pasta so we ordered both along some other dishes like a fried deviled egg, grilled octopus, lamb shank (my personal favorite) and the shrimp and grits, which my friends are still talking a bout 4 days later.
Dessert options where limited but we shared a brownie a la mode which was rich and decadent.

Over all we can’t wait to visit bar Margaret our next trip to San Miguel and maybe even stay at Hotel Amparo if rooms are available.

We had a great meal in a real pleasant rooftop garden environment. I had the soft shell taco special and my wife had the shrimp and grits. Both were great and our pre-dinner cocktails were also excellent. It was not very crowded but we were tired from a long day of travel so we went pretty early.

Not quite ready for prime time, Bar Margaret has a very limited menu, and on the night we dined, they were out of one of the four main entrees. My initial glass of rose was sour, and the replacement glass of Sancerre was dark yellow and cloudy, so not sure if these are old bottles? I've never had two bad glasses of wine in a row. My friend commented that this was the most expensive dinner she'd had in SMA, which may not have been a huge issue had the food been outstanding. We were the only diners there on a Saturday night. I really wanted to like this new place, but won't be back until I start to hear some good reviews.
