Staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in through leaving for the evening. I met a friend for happy hour. All apps ordered were absolutely delicious (meat platter and lobster croquettes). Great wine and cocktail selection! I look forward to returning and trying Meat on the next level up.

The food was absolutely outstanding, and always is. Our server, Al, was able to explain everything very clearly, helped us decide what would be best for our party of four, and was incredibly amiable and warm.

Beautiful dinner experience! Jose’s Favorites tasting menu is a great choice for 2. Dishes are coursed out perfectly so we were always munching but never overwhelmed. Our 5 pm reservation got us out with ample time to make it to our 7:30 pm showtime right down the street. Fidel, our server, is wonderful, as is the entire staff at Bar Mar!

Bar Mar was excellent..the ambience and staff were wonderful. While its a tapas/small plates type of place, I ordered the lobster roll, and it was delicious...as was the tomato bisque soup. Great place, we'll be back!

Der Abend war perfekt und ein mega kulinarisches Erlebnis. Danke an Todd für den wundervollen Service ! Das Essen, vor allem der Pulpo, die Lobster Croqueta und das Rossejat.. Geschmacksexplosionen par excellence.. ein wunderschönes Local, angenehme Musik und Lautstärke. Ich würde immer wieder hierher kommen. Und zu guter Letzt, der Sticky Toffee Pudding. Einfach unbeschreiblich. Danke danke danke !

Great experience. Our waiter Bryan was really helpful. He expertly pointed out the best gluten free options and was great with his recommendations. Oyster ceviche and salmon tiradito were highlights. Cocktails were also solid.

Bar Mar is one of my favorite restaurants. The food and ambiance is always on point. I love ordering their burger although almost everything I’ve had there is so delicious too. Their air salt margaritas are delish!! The only thing I’ve noticed the past few times I’ve gone there are the servers are very pushy. They want you in and out as fast as possible. It negatively impacts the experience because you are feeling rushed through your meal and out the door. Two separate times with different servers and separate people I was having dinner with made that observation. The management team should really coach their employees about this. I don’t need my server coming around every 5 mins asking if i’m ready to order, I’m done with my plate, etc. I’ve served for many years in my life and I know the difference between being attentive and being pushy and rushing people.

I love this place! Very pleasant ambiance, energetic music but not so loud that you cannot hear others. The food is delicious! The Oyster Ceviche was a hit, the chef has managed to capture the original seasoning of how a Ceviche is made in South America. We were impressed! We had the Sangria Lujo, I highly recommend it. It was superb!

Yes, the food is nice but it's not worth the prices they charge. $200 for two people (including tip). Only one alcoholic drink ordered (not a bottle) and no dessert. Also, the salmon they serve is farmed, not wild.

Celebrated sister’s 60th with 6 family members. Got the Jose Snacks and it was fantastic and plenty of food! Perfect evening of service (Brian - the best!), food, ambiance and fun.

Food was excellent. Our only complaint (and it’s a small one) was that you could not hear the people who delivered the food and explained what they were serving. Part of it was the acoustics but also they spoke softly and too quickly. Otherwise - loved it.

Wonderful service. Was greeted with complimentary cava since we were celebrating my birthday. The lobster croquetas and neptunes pillows are so delicious. The wine and cocktails were great! Great service with explanations of what the food ingredients are and preparation.

Food delivery was an issue as the chicken was noticeably undercooked. The informed us this was fine give it was sous-vide, but seems to be a risk most people would not choose to take with chicken

Service could’ve been better. Waitress was standoffish. Ordered the abalone, and felt like it needed chop sticks but tried it anyways with regular utensils. Sure enough at the end of my meal I realized the couple next to us each received chips sticks with their abalone.

Came for lunch with a business partner. We had a reservation, but was only offered a spot at the bar. I insisted on getting a table but we were turned down, no apologies given. Vast majority of tables were open!!! But pointing that out got me nowhere… poker face.. Seriously confusing situation.. I have been coming here for business lunches despite slow service but the situation today makes me want to stop supporting the business. We ended up going to Beatnik down the road where we didn’t have reservations but we’re seated immediately. Service matters.

Very tasty, unique food offerings. A bit pricey. We had a nice table outside overlooking the river. Inside was quite beautiful but also noisy. Service was a bit slow to start. Took forever to get the iced tea I ordered. Picked up final 1/3 of the meal. Key lime pie dessert given to us in honor of our celebration was amazing.

This restaurant is awesome, service, food, and atmosphere. It always impressive guests. Today, my business guess drop his wallet, restaurant found and called me before we reached the corner, and returned. Called just as my client realized his wallet was missing. Food was even better. Always get "I need to bring my significant other to this place" when with people who have never been to Bar Mar.

Arrived 10 min prior to reservation and were seated 30 minutes after reservation time. Hostess service was poor and full of excuses. Once seated about serving staff was excellent and they even comped us several dishes. Food was very good, but not great
