Food was very good. Had the Mediterranean fish and lobster roll. Hamachi cone and octopus. All were very good. Nice fries with LR. service was friendly and good. Nice ambiance. Located CBD but rest was bustling Sunday eve.

Pretty disappointing - even though I made reservations table was not ready for almost half an hour Waitress was super nice but totally lost - didn’t show up for 10 minutes missed orders I told her 3 times to keep alcohol on a separate tab then food in the end still got one check sent it back 15 minutes later brought back check again with no change have to walk to front to get it fixed My empty dinner plate sat in front of me for more then 30 minutes and was never picked up even though I said I am done Food was not bad but all in all bad experience won’t go back there

We arrived very early for a reservation and expected we may have to wait at bar. The hostess did not offer much help for our situation. She just said “go to the bar and come back at 6”. Not “let me see what I can do”. There was no one else waiting at the hostess station, there were many tables empty. It seemed unreasonable they couldn’t seat us earlier. I went back to the hostess desk and asked “anything you can do to seat us earlier”. See doubled down - “no”. I was very surprised by lack of helpfulness. Hostess is a direct reflection of the restaurant. We should have left. She did send someone over and we did get seated. Started with drinks and a ceviche appetizer. Appetizer arrived. No drinks. Finished appetizer and still no drinks. Had to try to flag waiter who seemed to shrug off our question. Needless to say - reasons for not a great score for service. Food arrived almost 40 minutes after we ordered. We sat without food for all that time. When it arrived it was mixed. The truffle grilled cheese was delicious! The lobster roll was “fishy tasting” and I couldn’t even finish. I have never met a lobster roll that wasn’t delicious. Key lime pie also was delicious! Cocktails (salt air margaritas!) were delicious. Atmosphere is beautiful with open air windows and a beautiful patio. If you want to go to a Jose Andres go to Jaleo. While there were some highlights, poor service and some mediocre/not good food will not have me return. Very sad as I had looked forward to this one for awhile. Just want to give an honest, balanced review.

We have been to Bar Mar several times and they never disappoint. They are consistently always on their game! Food is creative and great, service outstanding and it’s a beautiful room. We will definitely be going again

One of a unique dining experience where we could try multiple dishes and share. This is a very hip / cool restaurant and we enjoyed it.
