   Happy with experience,only slight disappointment was fillet steak and sauce- but still very enjoyable.

   Bar Leo can be trusted to provide hearty, good tasted food, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Service is invariably good and staff are welcoming and helpful. I have been many times, with family, friends and business colleagues and will be back.

   Returned after a long time but as good as we remembered. Service was attentive but unobtrusive although only 2 of us. Our meal was flavoursome and authentically Italian without pretension, and the dietary requirements of one of us were accommodated cheerfully and without compromising the pleasure of the result. The portion sizes were satisfying but did not prevent us enjoying 3 courses. In spite of the holiday season, we were not rushed to finish. Overall, a lovely evening out - we will not leave it so long before returning again.

   A little disappointed. The restaurant itself is nice, one of the waiting staff was very professional the other seemed sullen and disinterested. The food itself wasn't great. Both had different starters with prawns and in both the sauce seemed gloopy, almost like an MSG filled Chinese takeaway sauce. My main, a Roman Veal dish seemed overly salty. First time there and as we are local we will probably give the place a second chance, but won't be in a great hurry to go back.

   Had an excellent evening here and enjoyed the food and ambience immensely. The only thing I would say is that the portion sizes for the mains are rather large. I, personally would prefer a smaller size at a cheaper price. It was a busy Friday night and the food came promptly and the service was excellent overall. One thing that could be avoided, however is having 2 different staff members ask us 30 seconds apart if we were ready to order. The rest of the service was flawless and we look forward to returning in the future.

    Average Italian fare, booked this for visit of family from down south but hadnt eaten here for quite a while. Staff were friendly enough if somewhat distracted, possibly by the evef increasing number of customers arriving. Starters arrived promptly and were good value for money , especially the mixed cold meats starter for two . Main courses were more of a mixed bag. The veal in Marsala taken by two of our party was a hit as was the pasta verdi special. However the other two pasta dishes were a bit claggy and a bit of a disappointment after the starters ( penne with italian ssausage and spaghetti marinara). After the main courses it became increasingly difficult to get a waiter to take our dessert and coffee orders, despite them passing the table several times to reset nearby tables. Eventually we called it quits and just paid the bill. The lack of service delivery was pointed out to the manager on leaving and he seemed geuinely perplexed. Hopefuly we just got them on a bad night. One other little thing . When staff are bringing out celebratory cakes to guests, they play certain tunes over the restaurant PA system. Its at an ear splitting volume and after several bursts in one night it gets a bit much
