Enjoy an intimate dining experience at Bar Isabel - a cozy restaurant nestled between Toronto's little Italy and little Portugal, where creative Spanish-inspired small plate dishes are served alongside cocktails and an extensive Iberian focused wine list. The restaurant's elegant interior boasts an intriguing blend of soft lighting, curved walls and a beautiful mosaic tile floor.
Managed under the guidance of Maitre d' and Partner Alessandro Pietropaolo, Bar Isabel's menu includes a diverse mix of pintxos, conservas, seafood and meat dishes. Diners rave about the grilled octopus, the bone marrow and the ceviche. For dessert, the Basque cake and sherry cream is a must-try. Bar Isabel is open 5-11pm Sunday through Friday, and 12-11pm Saturday. Accolades include listings in the Michelin Guide, Canada's top 100, and 2013 awarded the best new restaurant in Canada by Enroute Magazine. Bar Isabel accepts reservations for parties of up to 8 guests.

    Special shout-out to Scott our lovely host that evening, he was above and beyond with his service. Celebrated a simple dinner with friends and food is 10/10 for flavours. Octopus was cooked perfectly. The Bonemarrow and Shaved Foie was absolutely amazing. Definitely joining again for drinks and night out. Thankyou team

    Enjoyed the tasting menu. Excellent way to get experience a variety of the dishes in the a La carte menu. Delicious and abundant. Service was impeccable. Noise level was high for an intimate dinner, but it is a bar after all. Stand out tapas are the octopus, croquetas, grilled mushrooms and ceviche.

    Amazing! We had the lunch special - it was delicious. We also ordered the bone marrow to try which was fantastic but the lunch special for two was filling enough. Great vibe and service! We will definitely go back

    Food VG: delicious mushroom salad, excellent octopus, nice cheese plate. VG wine by the glass selection. Party atmosphere, extremely noisy as the venue was Friday-evening-packed.

    The restaurant vibe is great and it looks like it’s been there forever. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Anyone walking by will grab an empty plate or fold your napkin. The Spanish fizz was amazing. Octopus, foie gras crustini, shishito peppers, mushrooms, boquerones and bone marrow were all amazing! We got the basque cake for dessert and the sherry pairing was to die for. Can’t recommend this place enough!
