Our server was fantastic. The spicy shrimp appetizer was delicious (and not really spicy which I appreciated). The Harbor Punch was really good too. The HH menu was lacking and the prices ($1 savings) was not worth calling it a HH. Also, no cocktail specials for HH either ... just rail liquor with one mixer (boring). So while we did appreciate our server and his attentiveness and friendliness this is not a place I would rush back to, especially not for happy hour because it wasn't much of one.

The restaurant was clean and quiet. Service was the best part. The beer I wanted was out. The entree I wanted was out. The food was subpar. Overpriced. The kids Mac and cheese was disgusting, my kids didn’t want more than one bite.

We were seated early even though they didn’t have my reservation which was definitely not needed. 10 minutes later i asked if anyone was working after 3 servers walked past us. There was maybe 10 people in the entire place and 6 of them were at the bar. We flagged someone down who took a drink order. Then someone else finally was like have you been helped let me get you some water. Got the drinks which were good. Ordered spicy shrimp appetizer and it was overcooked and way over sauced. We skipped more food and drinks and went around the corner to eat dinner at mezzah.

Our food was good. Appetizers were delivered with dinners. Our server (s) varied, and we weren't sure who was our actual server. The service was slow and unorganized. We could see that one or two staff were trying to do everything. It didn't work. Our server actually seemed disinterested and wasn't sure she was a server. This would be a nice place to eat and drink if there was staff to provide proper service.

I waited 10 minutes before I was addressed at the host desk. No one was there. After being seated I waited another 10 minutes before i had to ask who was our waiter. Once we were addressed our drink orders were taken and after 30 minutes with no drinks no appetizers no nothing we just got up and left.

The food was not terrible but not great either. I found the cocktails underwhelming. I've had more robust cocktails made by mixologists at the same prices elsewhere. This restaurant also offers free breakfast for Hyatt Place hotel guests. Breakfast is decent.

All.in all a basic place. Best selling Point is the balcony dining area that overlooks harbor. sunset is beautiful... pic below. I ordered a simple salad and chicken tacos, and apple pie. Food was average. price was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant esp with a view of harbor. Inexpensive ... fresh food. Inside decor and feel is a bit sterile. ambience lacks warmth. It is quiet for a bar restaurant. . come here for the view at sunset! won't break the wallet. simple menu, inexpensive food and nice view.

The tacos & our service were both great! Beware of 2 outdoor seating locations. We were entertaining guests from out of town & hoped to oversee the harbor at sunset. Sadly we didn’t realize until we arrived there were picnic tables on a small front patio & the back patio was full. Not sure if this can be requested in notes upon reservations but just wanted to share.

Restaurant did not know we had reservations and told us next time to make reservations so they could prepare. Severely understaffed. Expected waitress to be the bartender and the waitress took over 1 hour for meals. Waitress tried the best she could but did not get support needed. Will not go back or recommend. Arrived at 735 for 744 reservation did not get served food until 10 pm and some meals did not come out until 1030. Appetizers were ordered at 8pm. Never again

Our reservation was for 7:30. We were sat at a table on the patio right away but told it would be 30 minutes before we served. We left after 20 minutes. No one came by to say hi. No water. No anything.

The food was messed up multiple times, took over an hour to get the food after ordering (3salads and pasta). Had to walk to the bar to get drinks refilled. There were 3 people working, two tables including mine, and 3 people at the bar so not a busy night. This is a bad hotel restaurant.

Reservation doesn’t provide a real reservation- you become queued in their standard seating, I was told 30/30 minute wait (not busy restaurant open tables and available servers) so I left walked down a block to a competitor and was seated immediately for dinner for 4 without reservation. Based on other reviews regarding and their non use of reservation I would recommend that this restaurant should be removed from open table

The place is pretty and the harbor view is wonderful. However, service was extremely slow and food was only ok. Our server was at the same time both very kind and visibly miserable. The table and menus were filthy. We got a crusted-over, empty ketchup bottle and paper salt packets instead of a shaker. So much potential here if someone would care enough to elevate it!

I arrived and informed the greeter that I had a reservation. He did not check the reservation but led me to a table to wait for my friend. The first 30 minutes were great and the waitress was fast and attentive. After we ordered food, another employee came up and asked us to move to another table because a private party was going to use the table where we were seated. While we moved to the only other table available, the greeter (or manager) told us that we couldn’t sit there because it was reserved. I repeated to him that we had a reservation and he proceeded to argue with the employee who had moved us to the table. We sat down and let them sort it out. We remained seated at that table without a problem. Soon after we received our food and then did not see a waitress or employee for another hour. No one asked us if we needed anything, including drink refills or water. When we were ready to leave I had to walk over to the bar to request and pay the bill. Terrible service, and food was blah. Being busy does not justify poor service. Have to say, the Berry Bourbon was yummy though.

We were visiting the National Harbor and decided to try Bar Harbor for dinner with our 10 year old. There were other families in the restaurant as well. Service was with a smile and the food was great. Pizza was very tasty and the cream sauce ravioli was perfect for our son. Good selections on tap as well. We would definitely return the next time we are in the area.

First, this place is in the bottom of a hotel. It is run by the hotel. They ignored me for 20 minutes. Then I ordered a porter at the bar. I was given a pilsner (the opposite of a porter). The bartender had no idea what a porter was. Then the ignoring started again. After an hour, we ordered nachos. The plate of nachos was about the size of a small salad plate. My party and I just wanted to leave. But then I had trouble getting and paying the check. I would never eat here or recommend it to anyone.
