Very very good and great service! Great job guys
Absolutely delicious! great NY steak, nearly a pound...more than enough to share.
Simple salad with parm, also delicious.
YUM... the dulce de leche donuts for dessert.
Perfect volume on the great playlist in the background. We were able to talk!
This truly is a downtown gem.
What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The ambience is modern, but cozy, romantic, but perfect for both business gatherings and friends. The cuisine is beyond perfected and the cocktail and wine selection pairs perfectly with the meal. The bartender, Diego took great care to make sure our experience at the bar was perfect and we were well attended to. We highly recommend this wonderful gem.
I had gone there with my husband when he heard the chef's interview on NPR
And ten went again with friends and one of my sons.
Wonderful time food -service- happy happy
Great dining experience minus one small thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. I called ahead to see what the corkage was, and was told there was no corkage fee. I was charged $25 a bottle and I asked the server but he didn’t honor it. After making me feel like I was guilty for not knowing, he walked his way around me not talking to his mgr (which he said he talked to - guarantee he didn’t) anyway after a very long back and forth he said he’d take it off on his tab - again, making me feel uncomfortable. So I get the adj. bill and it says “Amount due $50” and I signed thinking he only charged me that because he made things so awkward. I see the $50 was taken off the original amount. I regret tipping anything. Think I’ll yelp this. Thanks for tainting my brothers almost good birthday dinner.
What a find! No one in my party of 4 had ever been before and we were all happy and satisfied with this cozy little spot! Drinks were colorful and meals were artfully presented. Bar Garcia (apparently on the ground floor to a hotel) was charming! We all admired the unique art throughout - our host and server went above & beyond to make our dining experience memorable!!! I would definitely return!
Hot crispy Spring rolls full of sautéed mushrooms were the start of such a delicious dinner. In an intimate dining room with carefully chosen art on the walls the service was attentive and well-timed. Arugula salad was fresh and tossed with a savory dressing. We will go back whenever we can for the roasted whole branzino which is lightly crunchy on the skin side and soft and moist inside with a salty spicy sauce on the side. There is nothing that needs improvement here.
Just okay. Fries were extremely salty.
Found hair in my food. Yuck! Otherwise, other items were just meh.
Quiet, intimate, foodie little place. Great for pre-theater. Johnny our waiter was delightful and informative. He knew the menu inside and out and was very attentive. Loved the brisket eggrolls. Many unusual creations on the menu. We will be back.
Bar Garcia is an great place for a drink or meal. The menu is creative and all the plates we tried were fantastic. We especially enjoyed the calamari dish. Highly recommended!
We had a great meal at Bar Garcia. The branzino was amazing, and service was excellent!
What a surprise! Small hotel, small lobby, small restaurant, small menu, but excellent food and service. Our server, Jesus, was knowledgeable and familiar with each dish and wine we ordered, as well as being attentive, personable and lovely. All plates were delicious, but the dessert of raspberry sorbet and chocolate Grenache with a touch of tobacco was mind-blowing!
a first rate tapas place, with helpful service and good value.
Tried this before the Music Center. Enjoyed the different dishes; definitely should go with people who like to share food!
Celebrated my friends birthday there. Jesus, our waiter, was extremely attentive and friendly! Will definitely recommend this place to others. The ambience, food, and service was overall satisfying!
Every time we go to bar Garcia, we have a wonderful experience. We have tried most plates on the menu and loved every single one. Juan Pablo, the chef and owner, is a genius. He has the ability to combine flavors and ingredients that make each plate a work of art.
The waiters are respectful, kind and friendly. They are very attentive and anticipate any need that he customer has.
A worthwhile experience!
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our pre theater dinner that was made up of small plates. The menu was very creative and every dish was delicious. Ambiance was very pleasant and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend for any size group.
Great food, easy and chill
It’s was great
Fantastic experience. We visited bar Garcia many times and are always very happy to go there.
Food is amazing , the staff is very friendly. You will not be disappointed.
Nice changes/improvements!.... fun menu!
I just had my birthday dinner here with a group of 10 people. The food was so terrific, unique, creative, tasty, and fresh. The tapas menu is great to share with a large group. There are vegan and non-vegan options which are fantastic. And, the service was very good and on point. This place is a hidden gem. I am happy and will come here often!
The food was great. They really treat you like family here. Classy yet home
Amazing food and an amazing crew that seem to do everything correctly
Great place for new American meals.
Staff was attentive and accommodating for dietary restrictions. Overall good ambiance and good food.
Wonderful brunch before a Clippers afternoon game. Brisket spring rolls are delicious! And the pancakes are quite tasty. Enjoy.
