One of the best happy hours for oyster and other fresh seafoods as well as wine and beer selections.
Woman seating us took a bit and kind of left us guessing what to do
It was for a bday celebration and they brought desert with candle.
Fresh fish and amazing sashimi. Fantastic presentation. Excellent service.
Restaurant was closed for emergency renovation, I found it out on reaching Bar Crudo for dinner.
I am disappointed with both restaurant and OpenTable for not informing us about the closure.
Great service delicious food
Great food, all seafood. Wonderful wines and great ambiance.
A bit on the louder side, but still good to talk for up to 4 people.
Bar Crudo has been a go-to favorite for years. I love the friendly staff, the great lighting and artwork, the interesting beers and wines, and the food! So delicious and satisfying. Always a special, fun time.
Still my favorite restaurant in the city. Food is fantastic. Atmosphere is spot on. Service great as well. Can’t wait to treat myself again.
The crudo sampler and oysters were perfect to start. The marinated mussels were so tender and tasty!
Crudo and oysters were excellent, so was the lobster salad. Did not care for the tacos and for me, the seafood chowder had too many ingredients in it. Overall good though, definitely worth trying.
Consistently friendly unobtrusive service. Food is fresh, atmosphere is relaxed. This is one my favorite places to catch up with friends.
Unique restaurant. Great food. Will come back!
Every single bite we took was perfect! The Crudo for two melted in your mouth. I had 2 herb/jalapeno mussels and 2 prawns which were absolutely delicious. The Lobster Beet Salad is a must and we also had the roasted Dungeness Crab! It was all Perfection! Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience. It was my first time to San Fran!
One of the best meals we have had in SF.
Amazing service, incredible seafood - brilliant 👌🏻
Lovely place for raw seafood. Our party of four brought two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and for a very reasonable corkage ($20) enjoyed them with oysters and crudo. The scallops are almost too buttery to be believed, and the chowder is to die for. Great service and cozy atmosphere.
So the upstairs reeks of dishwashing soap and the smell of the bathroom. Bar Crudo should not seat people up there.
Folks were here from NY and absolutely loved it. Delicious wine, perfect oysters and sampler, chill atmosphere yet fine dining. We love Tim and Erin.
Super disappointed with the Branzino, which was flavorless, lots of bones, and yet most expensive entree on the menu. Props for fresh, delicious oysters, and great service. Stick to Happy Hour, which I have yet to try, but sounds like that's what most people come here for.
Loved my evening at Bar Crudo. Service was excellent! They were super busy but quickly got us seated and kept us happy :)
The whole fish and the lobster salad are must-haves. If you can manage it, you also need a cup of the chowder.
Food was sampling amazing with all the different flavors and textures
We arrived well before our reservation time, but were seated right away. As a result we were able to enjoy HH rates on our apps and pre-dinner wine. Nice!
Service was excellent: friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic.
Bar Crudo is a San Francisco staple that consistently serves amazing seafood, raw or prepared, and has a fantastic array of beers and ales as well as a well curated wine list for every price range. But caveat emptor: no tea or coffee after dinner. Is that to turn over the tables faster? But no matter, there's coffee on the block.
Enjoy, some of the freshest tasting oysters, followed by truly creatively delicious options you will find anywhere. An exquisite experience.
A mixed bag. Smiling and efficient service. Tainted by the odor of commercial dishwasher soap wafting through the space. Some stellar cuisine -- especially the lobster/chicories/beet salad and the seafood/bacon chowder. Some fails -- prawns that had gone mushy and weren't cold enough, mignonette that tasted like bottled Italian dressing. But the main reason I won't return is the noise. Shouting over 80s music and other people shouting just isn't conducive to happy dining and certainly does not make for a special occasion. Especially at these prices. I really wish it were otherwise!
The food was excellent as usual. Tables are a little crowded, but the noise was manageable and the service was excellent.
Bar Crudo was excellent. Great beer selection, exceptionally prepared crudo, and the seafood chowder is luxurious and decadent. I may have gotten lucky and sat next to three guys who work in local resturants and know the chef and staff, but I had a great time and friendly personal service at the bar. Highly recommend reservations, it is jam packed.
Our meal last week was truly one of the top 10 we have EVER HAD!! It is well worth the wait, and our waitress recommended all of our selections with pride. Thank you!!!
For all the years I've been eating and returning to Bar Crudo, I have never stopped enjoying the clam chowder!! It is to die for!!
The Crude was incredible! Definitely worth the star! Do yourself a favor and skip all the other items. The salad and branzino couldn't compare. Skip desert...the truffles were a waste.
This was a recommendation from the hotel concierge, and it was fantastic. We enjoyed everything that we tried and especially the crudo sampler - great variety of flavors and everything was super fresh.
It was the last sitting on New Year’s Eve and none of our food came out on time nor did the fixed price menu provide enough food to even remotely satisfy my appetite. The uni went down in two bites with a gelato spoon, the third course came at least 20 min after the second course, and the chocolate cake was dry and the cheesecake was grainy. I love bar crudo and enjoy dining there, however, my New Year’s Eve experience was horrendous.
love love love bar crudo! no matter what i order, i'm never disappointed! been going there for years and they are always super friendly and the food is delicious. one of my favorites is the lobster beet salad or the sashimi sampler.
The food was delicious and we loved the chowder, Crudo and shellfish platter. It was a little frustrating to see the table of 3 sit down about 10 minutes after us get their food before us. It was busy, but not crazy so not sure what was going on. Same server who kept thanking us for our patience.
Great service and the mussels were outstanding! Server has good beverage recommendations also. Would definitely return.
I would serve their seafood chowder to all that attend my future funeral. Upon tasting it, they would all forget about death and realize that all is right in the world.
Had a holiday dinner here with my boyfriend, who is on a Mediterranean diet. We had a lot of fun, a lot of fish! It was really tasty.
We love this place - sadly the crudo sampler was pretty warm- :( - this time around.
