Bar Crudo - Divisadero St
Crude dishes were good but bland. Real winners were salads and wine list.
Food and service excellent.
Wine selection even better.
Thank you for a great evening.
I wish I had gotten our wait staff's name. She was about as good as it ever gets. We were seated in the upstairs at 630 Wednesday the 11th. She knew her menu, she knew her wine and was attentive without being obstrusive. One of the best dining experiences because of this I've had in some time.
Seafood here is simply presented and of good quality. Innovative presentations of Crudo along with classic offerings of chilled shellfish were enjoyed. Simple wine list but matched most of the food selections well.
Great food and experience.
I’ve been wanting to go here for years and finally made it! Every part of my experience was top notch. The service was amazing - all the recommendations were perfect. The flavor profile of the dishes were so good. Lobster salad, Spanish octopus, oysters and the Crudo sampler was so good - we had to order 2.
I can’t wait to go back.
We were a few minutes late for a reservation, but the host sat us right away and graciously. It was a full house, incredibly loud and my companion and I could not hear each other at all, so they let us know that they would give us a window seat which was more enclosed if the reserving party never showed up. Otherwise, honestly, we considered leaving. We got the table! This helped extraordinarily, we could actually hear each other. We ate an entrée as an appetizer and it was amazing: tender, sweet octopus. Followed by another delicious couple of plates: I had a lobster salad which included creamy buratta, spicy arugula, sweet peaches! She had a whole branzino which was so delicious that she ate it down to the bone and then ordered one to go to bring home to her partner. Even though the kitchen was closing at that point, they made it happen! We had several glasses of wine, and in retrospect I should have ordered a bottle. Desserts were not intriguing, but we had a really great meal. The only reason I can’t I give it five stars is because the noise was off the hook.
Our waitress was delightful. So much fun. The food was also delicious
We had a wonderful time celebrating my Husband's 40th birthday, i noted that when making the reservation, but it must have skipped the Hostess mind. The Food and ambience where perfect.
They seriously do fish and seafood so well. Everything was exquisite and that chowder is the best soup on planet earth. Seriously.
Service was excellent and food was good. Recommend the seafood chowder.
Food was very good. Staff was great with recommendations and pairings. Glad we were directed here, I would happily recommend and revisit!
Loved the seafood chowder. Crudo is kind of casual fine dining fare.
Very expensive for the amount of food.
Food was wonderful; service was wonderful; noise level was painful. Sadly, we will not return or recommend this restaurant to friends until the noise level is addressed. We would like to dine without shouting at each other. I am especially concerned about employees who experience, possibly, dangerous decibel levels during their shifts.
Always love this place, not only for its raw fish but for the best chowder in the free world. Service was lovely. We got there early (for us) at ca. 6:45 and the noise level was deafening, but halfway through our meal the noise tamed down and we could have a conversation.
One item, the uni avocado toast didn't go together in my opinion. But every other dish was absolutely delicious: crudo sampler, stone fruit salad, and grilled salmon.
Well of course at first the service is on point but nobody comes to see if everything is OK or if there’s anything else we need.
The food was phenomenal. However nothing comes with it like a main branzino
I absolutely luv Bar Crudo. THe only issue is that on a warm SF evening. It can get warm in the restaurant.
The name kind of give it away that the restaurant portions were small. So we were prepared to order more dishes. However, from the first to the second round of crudo dishes, the taste did not wow so it didn't justify the high pricing and discouraged us from ordering more. We left the restaurant still hungry and ended up down the street to finish our meal. Just to be clear, the crudo was not horrible. It just didn't inspire and was just okay. I do have to compliment the service staff though.
The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. The young lady that greeted us as we entered the restaurant was very gracious and seated us immediately. Our server was both charming and efficient. The helper that assisted Bonnie was also very helpful and attentive towards our needs. Will definitely return.
Food was good but place is too noisy. Felt like we had to shout at each other to be heard.
Delicious and just right. We arrived early to our reservation and they accommodated us right away. Pleasant ambiance and good food.
Delicious food, warm staff, impeccable kitchen. Definitely going back again!
Wonderful food, wine and service, but it was way too loud! They could easily do some soundproofing! Why don't they?
One of my favorite restaurants! Fresh, delicious, creative dishes. Consistently wonderful service and food. The restaurant is small, but I've always been comfortable in the restaurant.
The service is top notch. The crudo dish is always incredible, as is the chowder. The wines recommended b the server are always perfect. The lobster salad, not so great - a tiny bit of lobster overwhelmed by a lot of beets. Nowhere close to the caliber of the other dishes and much more expensive. But I always have and always will come back and skip the lobster. Would really appreciate some noise dampening tiles on the ceiling so I don't have to scream at my date. Love gazing at the fantastical art on the walls!
Delicious seafood (oysters and clams were my favourite, especially the more saltier oyster!). Sat at the window and even there there was a good ambiance. Also great food recommendations. One negative- waitress took my plate before I was finished- felt slightly rushed. We'd ordered wine, 2x starters and were on mains so I think I deserved to take my time in finishing my food, it wasn't like we'd ordered one course and were lingering around.
This is one of the best restaurants overall in San Francisco. I’m a huge fan of oysters, but I always find it difficult to find Kumamotos in San Francisco. Meanwhile, I find them in Manhattan readily available. So, when I discovered bar crew though, I was elated.
I was just there this past Saturday, with a party of five, and I really wanted to have a more quiet experience. So I requested the table upstairs. It was occupied but the gas we’re leaving shortly and the restaurant kindly accommodated my request. The service is always impeccable, the food sublime, the tastes amazingly fresh, and the knowledge and professionalism of the staff always on point.
I give Barr crew the highest marks on all counts! Thank you for a fabulous Saturday night!
Bar Crudo is one of our favorite places. The waitress made sure to let us know about our food since it took unusually long this time. Great as always!
Incredible flavors. The crudo sampler and seafood chowder are must-haves.
Service amazing, food incredible. The atmosphere is very vivid and can be noisy. Not recommended for a romantic and quiet dinner. Thank you for an incredible experience. We’ll be back!
Staff and food was amazing
Delicious and fresh. If you love seafood come here!
I’ve been coming to this restaurant for 7 years because everything about the food, service, and atmosphere always stays consistent and excellent. I live in the neighborhood and am always happy to come back. Thank you!
Geweldig eten. Goede bediening!
My go to spot for anyone comes from out of town. Never disappoints!
meh, need a menu change...getting boring.
The crudo plate was wonderful and the octopus was as good as those that I had tried before in Spain. Great meal!
