   Food, wine, and service were really super good! The Atmosphere: blue light (no go), interior, the loud music and reflecting sound were absolutely not our cup of tea. Pretty hard to communicate.

   This place is a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood, and heads and shoulders above any other option at this end of 5th Avenue. The Mediterranean-accented menu is freshly prepared from excellent ingredients, with enough complexity to keep things interesting, without being in the least bit fussy. Presentations are fine, but the emphasis is on the food, not merely on the visual aesthetic. I’ve liked everything I’ve tried. On this occasion my friends and I sampled the mussels – delicious in themselves, with just the right amount of gigante beans, feta and touches of sausage added. The Fattoush salad was another winner. (I hope they bring back the salad with “Park Slope” in its humorous name.) The ceviche, boquerones, and, of course, the oysters also got thumbs up from everyone. On other occasions, I’ve had the octopus, the branzino, and the merluza – all excellent. Service is very good, and the vibe ranges from friendly to . . . very friendly. Nice wine list, too. If I worked here, I’d also be greeting everyone warmly, with the confidence that comes from fronting a great kitchen. Definitely recommended!

   Excellent and creative food ($1 oysters were a plus!) and service was great. They even brought a dessert for my daughter after I mentioned it was her birthday...:)

   This was our first visit to Bar Crudo. We were in NYC for our daughter's birthday and the restaurant was a short walk away from her place. We were seated upon arrival and all the tables were full. Our server, Mike M, greeted us after a few minutes. We ordered glasses of wine and they came pretty quickly. Tried a Sauvignon Blanc from Ecuador, and it was pretty good. We shared a couple of appetizers. We were seated just as Happy Hour was ending but they let us have Happy Hour prices, which included $1.00 oysters. We ordered a dozen and they were fresh, briny and delicious. We also shared an order of Arepas, which were good too. For dinner our daughter had grilled octopus. She loved it and so did I. It had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. My wife had the tile fish. It also was cooked perfectly. I had the Fideua, which was chock full of mussels, clams and salmon. Awesome. We also shared a side of spinach Catalan, which was enough for 4 people. Overall a very good experience!

   Delicious new restaurant in park slope. I will be a regular for sure. Outstanding service and delicious food!

    We had a few starter items and main course dishes. First we started with a dozen raw oysters which were great. Another starter/appetizer to definitely order is the red snapper ceviche which was crazy delicious. For the main courses we ordered the branzino special (grilled whole fish w/ chimichurri style dressing-amazing), and a seared cod which was also wonderfully prepared. The staff are cool people who are excited to talk about their dishes and wine list which for me makes the dining experience memorable.
