It’s a fun, great vibe and delicious place to have a casual dinner and fabulous drinks. There’s an interesting selection of mains and apps on the menu I that should be able to please any and all. There’s oysters were super fresh and delicious, the fish and chips were as well so fresh and delicious. The molasses bread was as well outstanding, unique and a must like the others. The asparagus as well were presented beautifully and were so good. The turkey hot plate was a hearty and good choice for those living a great hot plate. Overall all drinks and good were far beyond average. Thanks to the upbeat and positive staff. You definitely made it even more enjoyable. Please do note there are no individual tables there’s counter space and if you’re a group you’ll want to sit on a corner if you all want to be to converse or stand at one of the bar tables .

I was really looking forward to trying Bar Clams, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. We ordered the donair, which was extremely disappointing — the meat was tough and chewy, and the pita was overly puffy and didn’t hold together well. On the other hand, the molasses buns, salad, and fries were all very good, and clearly made with care. What surprised me most, though, was the value. Given the portion sizes and quality of the donair, the price point felt really hard to justify. I don’t mind paying for a great experience, but this one didn’t deliver. I won't be returning.

A fantastic experience. The service was marvellous. We truly enjoyed chatting with our greeter/server - Olu. The food respects the simple origins of authentic Maritime staples, complimented by added touches that demonstrated a real appreciation for the past with modern flare. A must visit on our next trip.

Some of the worst food we’ve ever eaten. Fish and chips were disgusting the rest of the food was mediocre at best the seafood delux was the tiniest portion nothing like the pictures with only 2 microscopic pieces of calamari. Felt like a huge rip off. We were extremely disappointed. Probably our worst restaurant experience and we dine out all the time. I feel bad cause I really wanted to give matty matheson a solid shot as I like his personality. We tried his Italian spot in fort Erie years ago it was mediocre. Love his burgers at Mattys patty’s though. If the food was greatly improved and the menu overhauled as well as far bigger portions I think this place would stand a chance.

Came to Bar Clams for my birthday and it made my day so special! The staff made an amazing experience and it was the best service I’ve ever had. Delicious food with a laid back vibe.

Iceberg salad - delish. Trout - perfect. Order a side of fries to dip in that sauce. Banana cookie thing - devine. Service was outstanding. 80's pop/rock coming out of the speakers was a great vibe. Go eat here.

This was our second time visiting and we do love the place, food is always delicious but the service this time was horrible. We ordered some oysters and a drink when we got there then were basically ignored for a very long time...drinks and oysters done and no one coming to ask if we wanted to order anything else. I had to wave down a waitress so we could get some service, it was a little disappointing.

Good food and delicious cocktails but not particularly generous. There's something about the layout that made the music and other patrons sound super loud but I couldn't hear my own friends who were next to me. Wanted to love it but ended up going to another bar to finish the meal/night.
