We ordered two wines, they were out of both. We both ordered seafood dishes containing clams; they were out of clams. We ordered focaccia to share as a starter. Within three minutes of the focaccia arrival they served our entrees. Table was cleared so quickly, we had to tell them we were not finished. All this occurred with a 6PM pre-theatre reservation on a Friday night. Think restaurant management needs some additional training or experience.

Outstanding food. We got a burger, the octopus appetizer and 2 glasses of wine. $88 before tip. Service was perfunctory…had to reach out to server to get water refills and the second glass of wine. Atmosphere was “ok” nothing fancy. Just felt like an upscale Applebees experience. Way too expensive for the experience.

We were first time guests to this restaurant. We entered the bar area and stood in line with another couple waiting for someone to greet us. According to the couple in front of us they had already been waiting over 10 minutes for someone to say hello. They finally flagged down a waitress who proceeded to seat them at a booth in the bar they had reservations. We also had reservations and were seated shortly there after in the dining area. According to the waitress she was the only one working in the entire facility along with one bartender and a few people in the kitchen they were very shortstaffed and the bar was packed with guests visiting the hotel for a wedding reception. The one waitress said don’t worry I won’t forget about you. She never came back to our table. The couple seated ahead left after 20 minutes never getting waited on. We waited over 20 mins until a new waitress appeared running into the dining area out of breath saying she was finally here to help us. She was attentive and apologetic for our long wait & there were many other couples in the dining area also looking very disillusioned and waiting a very long time for service. We placed our drink and food order all together with a note of panic due to a show we were attending in a few hours. Everything arrived quickly and the food was very good. It was unknown what the true issue was in regards to the staffing but we never saw a manager or anyone of authority apologizing to all of the guests that waited so long for service. I wish I could say I would return again but unfortunately my trust is lost after this visit.

This review looks a little odd because the food was great and the server was kind, friendly, and personable, so it should be a lot higher. The problem is the lack of staff. The place was packed and energetic. There was just one server in the entire place, and she was doubling as host too. So we were there for several minutes until she could bring water to the table, about 15 minutes to place our order, and another 15 minutes before appetizer arrived, and another 15-20 before mains came out. The bar lost our drinks order entirely and the server had to remind them. This is too bad, because the place could easily rate 5 stars if there was enough staff.

I’ll start off with the good, which was the food and drinks. Tried a few of the specialty cocktails, which were all tasty with varying levels of strength. The Pistachio Smack was my favorite and was well balanced. The Orecchiette and Campanelle were both flavorful, surprisingly the orecchiette had a little more heat between the two. The chicken thigh masala also solid, though a touch on salty side (mostly from the potatoes). Initially ordered the salmon but was informed 10 minutes later that it was unavailable, not a big deal but seems like a lack of communication between front/back of house. Service left a lot to be desired, friendly but that was about it. Would maybe return for happy hour and some appetizers, but too many other Italian options around town that nail the whole experience.

We had to wait a bit to be seated as the bartenders were busy. We had to wait a bit before our server appeared ready & able to assist us. From that point (until my wine appeared about 10 minutes later), everything was grand, as usual.

We really enjoyed our experience here! First of all, our server Sydney was great; our time was limited due to a show and she was in complete control. She kept us updated about times, made great recommendations and had the check ready at the end so we weren’t late. All while letting us enjoy our meal—she really was fantastic. The meatballs were very good. We then had the rigatoni and the campanelle. Both were flavorful and the portions were appropriate considering the richness of the dishes. While both were good, the rigatoni was the star. The fig mule was a fun twist on the original. We enjoyed everything very much and are looking forward to coming when we have more time to savor everything. Thank you!

I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant after a performance at Opera Columbus in the same building. My acquaintances looked at the menu and the prices) and decided to forego the experience. I waited several minutes for a maitre'd to appear so that we could inform the restaurant of our choice but no one ever appeared. I then went to the bartender to notify him and, again, was unable to get his attention. I finally asked to speak to the bartender and he grudgingly told me that the "people in the back" would be notified of our decision to leave rather than have dinner.

Our experience at Bar Cicchetti was favorable. The focaccia bread was amazing. The moscato was delicious. I ordered the bolognese which was very good, and my husband ordered the Strozzapreti Verde and enjoyed it very much. We topped off our dinner with a tiramisu which was really delicious and light enough to finish after a hearty meal. The server/bartender was very pleasant and cheerful even though she was the only server in the room. She did an amazing job running around cheerfully serving a packed restaurant by herself and occasionally helped by the executive chef. All in all I would come back for dinner, if I happen to be in Columba’s again.

We ate here for lunch. Although there weren't many other diners, we were well cared for and the food was good. It did take a little over an hour for a party of 5 so if you are looking for a quick lunch it might not be the best choice.

Fantastic experience. Everything was “top notch!” The good was perfectly prepared and the presentation was superb. Our server was amazing. Very knowledgeable without being pushy . She was helpful without being intrusive. The entire meal was an excellent dining experience.

We arrived and waited 10 minutes to be seated. We told them we had a reservation, but the system was down. There appeared to be only 1 person working the front of the house I felt very bad for her. We waited another 10 minutes and left. I made this reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday. I looked like a schmuck. This restaraunt will not be in business long if this is how it is operated. We won't be back!

Restaurant area was CLOSED for the evening. Even though we had an Open Table reservation they did not appear to be expecting us. Initially put four of us at a very crowded table in the bar area, then moved us to a larger table, still in the very noisy bar area. Certainly not the experience we expected and paid for. Food was very good.

Normally, the term "hotel restaurant" doesn't generate much excitement — but Bar Ciccetti is a clear exception. For us, the food is the most important thing — and we were delighted with our choices. We started with the focaccia (at the recommendation of our terrific waitperson Alyssa) and loved it. My daughter had the pasta Bolognese, my wife had the chicken Marsala and I had the Stozzapretti. All three dishes were delicious — as attested by the empty plates when we finished. We've added Bar Ciccetti to our list of favorite Columbus restaurants and are already looking forward to our next visit. And we have pointed several friends and family members their way, certain that they will enjoy it as much as we did. A terrific meal, perfect service and great drink selection — what more could you want?

We were greeted warmly and seated in the main room. LOVED our server Greg. He was nothing short of fabulous! Provided great service which lots of personality. I had the salmon which was very good and my friend had the asparagus soup and salad.

Extremely poor service. Seated in the bar because the restaurant was closed for lack of people. This was certainly not the “star chef” experience we expected. Served entrees while we were not done with our first course even though we were one of two tables being served. Please Mr. “Star Chef” come back a help this place!

Food here is fantastic! Every dish was AMAZING - flavorful, perfectly cooked, and distinct! At first, service was a little slow. They might have been short-staffed, but once we finally ordered, everything was quick and staff members were attentive. Looking forward to going back!

For the life of me, I do not understand why restaurant don't install some noise dampening wall and ceiling coverings. The noise level is beyond being able to carry on a conversation across the table without screaming. Look at your lovely restaurant. It's all hard sound reflecting surfaces everywhere. Also, it would be nice to have some bread with the Cioppino and the Campanelle to sop up the broth with. Both excellent dishes.

Food was great as always. The bartender was incredibly rude. She forgot to ring in our order, which we get, it happened. Instead of apologizing she blamed me and told me I didn’t give the reservation enough time (I allotted for 90 minutes prior to our theatre tickets). She said we rushed her and should account for two hours for dinner at the bar (we ordered one appetizer, a bottle of wine, and pasta).

We had an assortment of apps including the famous polpetti. They did not disappoint! The whipped ricotta was also outstanding. Service was good, mood was low-key and quiet. Definitely will return.

This is the perfect place for a meal before or after a show at the Southern Theatre. Great food and service. Nice and quiet in the front room. We're definitely going back.

We were trying something new for dinner prior to heading to the symphony. Everything exceeded our expectations! Matthew, our server, was wonderful. Great recommendations and impeccable service.
