Bar Chinois is recognized for its ever-evolving Chinese menu and French-inspired cocktail and wine program. We are thrilled to now be part of the Northern Virginia dining scene. Our original D.C. location has earned recognition in the Michelin Guide USA, The Washington Post’s Fall Dining Guide, Modern Luxury DC’s Best of the City, and was named the 2024 RAMMY Award Winner for Best Bar in D.C.

Happy is daily from 4 pm-7 pm featuring 1/2 priced cocktails and $1 dumplings.

1$ dumplings and half off drinks are too good. Dumplings are really good, I’m a big fan of the coco Mariselle drink

So since I'm a Foodie & like to try new restaurants sports bar to fine dining, it was not what I thought ( my vision was more like Ginger at MGM).. cute little place ,very new. However, food portion was small for the price & it's not fine dining. Food was cooked nicely but too much sauce. Lots of sauce on pastas yes, but not good guality Chinese. Overall, we have many other restaurants to still try. They have a lot of competition. I wish them success though.

The website totally contradicts the actual restaurant. It states that the happy hour ends at 7PM. However, this one ended at 6PM. They also offered more happy hour drink deals previously and had no dumplings. Overall, super disappointing and felt misled!

The best I can say is the food was good. The decor was industrial and minimal with hard surfaces everywhere contributing to the loudness. They were out of the happy hour dumplings and didn’t offer a substitute.

Amazing food, great flavours, good service. Refreshing ensemble of Chinese menu at a value for money price point. A tad too noisy though..

Overall the service is excellent. There are a lot of hard surfaces and the noise level is extremely high. Need to take care of that. We came for the food overall and it was excellent as well as the service. We had the shumai and the gyoza and the garlic noodles and the chicken were all excellent.

Idk how the owners thought they could have a nice experience without sound dampening in that tiny spot but here we are. I'll not recommend this place until they fix the noise levels. My party if five couldn't hear eachother and we were right across from one another. And a message to the owners: don't be cheap about it.

The food here is really good and pretty reasonably priced. Drinks are really good. Music is a little loud for a sit down dinner but as a bar atmosphere very enjoyable
