Food was wonderful- recommend the white sausage with the potato purée and the pate!
Escargot came burnt and the sauce that is supposed to be key here was tasteless
Great as always!! Never disappoints!! Please don’t change this concept. My favorite out of all the restaurants.....relaxing, non pretentious, classic lyonnaise cuisine......AMAZING!
Ideal location for drinks or dinner before an event at Lincoln Center.A wide selection of wines Outdoors dining is available.
Great choices,delicious food
Sat outside .Service was great and can’t beat the ambience
We are regulars went for Sunday brunch and from the start service was horrible. We had a reservation for brunch and told we couldn’t sit outside the reason we selected the restaurant. Funny our guests arrived few minutes before without a reservation and got a table for four outside no problem.
We sit down the waitress is ina hurry to get our order like a factory. We order and the order is completely messed up and my wife had to wait forever for her eggs to be cooked as ordered/
Food and service usually very good this Sunday was horrible
Came for a birthday dinner. It was a great time, the staff was great and the food was very good.
Lovely post Philharmonic appetizer and wine at 10:30 the kitchen was able to serve us.
By the way I had been at the bar for a coffee and a glass of wine two days previous and had left my American Express card behind. The staff kept it for me and I just knew it would be safe to leave it there until I could come back. The hostess I met on Tuesday afternoon was absolutely charming, and the manager was proud of his stuff. Everyone should be proud of the service at Bar Boulud. I just wish I could afford to come more often
Always dependable. Moules frites were delicious!
Bar Boulud never fails to deliver a fantastic dining experience for special occasions or date nights. VGreat food and attentive service. Highly recommended.
So perfect fo pre-theater or pre-concert! Food delicious. Service perfect. Reasonably priced for the area and NYC. Our new go-to place at Lincoln Center.
Quality food, comfortable and pleasing environment. Service was excellent.
Lovely service and memorable food. We were too full for dessert.
Highly recommended wine being poured by server from a large bottle was not very good.
Another very pleasant meal at Bar Boulud. We eat here a few times a year and are consistently pleased. Sometimes food can be not exactly as ordered (cheese when leaving this off was specified, slightly over cooked fish) but the service is always truly fantastic and the atmosphere just great for talking and enjoying your company. Pleased all around.
My niece the cold soup was a perfect contrast to such a hot humid day, and was also full of flavor. We both chose the grilled Faroe island salmon. Which is served in a soup tureen with ratatouille vegetables & tomato vinaigrette, a delicious combination. The appetizers offered during the rose’ tasting meant that neither of us had room for dessert. One of the nice things that bar Boulud offers is a choice of 2 or 3 courses for the prix fix dinner.
Don’t take me wrong, I LOVE Bar Boulud, but something happened on Sat. Either it was the last reservation before switching shifts or it was just a bad day at Boulud land (first for me out of many). Outside table, wine and desert were the only good things on my brunch.
Good brunch menu, with lots of choices. Coq au vin sandwich was not as good as expected: more crispy and greasy than any definable taste, and certainly no hint of coq au vin. An omelette was excellent, as were the mussels and the french fries. Oddly, no bread was offered.
I’ve been to many of Daniel’s restaurants in many different states. It is incredibly disappointing to be giving such a low rating. However, it needs to be done to communicate how disappointing the food and service has become in Daniel’s restaurants.
The service was slow, menu/concept was dated (not classic) food was beautifully presented but under-salted and not well-balanced.
Absolutely nothing we had was made with love.
I hope the restaurant takes this review seriously and implements a program to address the poor quality.
There is no reason to go here until you see a large gesture from Daniel himself regarding how this place, and many other places are being revamped.
Tbh, it seems like no one is watching the quality here.
Cuisine becoming unimpressive. Wait staff are attentive, non-intrusive and just plain nice. We are very very very very low maintenance. Cuisine has become stodgy, at best.
Asked the waiter who suggested a $25 glass of wine tasted like. Responded by saying with was like a Chablis and that is was cold. Not a good answer for an expensive glass of wine.
Steaks were over done.
The food seemed just fine. Not special.
Good evening, I am sorry to hear of your disappointing meal with us, and I would love the opportunity to hear more about it. If you are up for a conversation, please reach out to me directly at Jstevens@danielnyc.co Warm regards, Joe Stevens General Manager
Celebrating new job and event at The Met HD that evening.
Recommend Bar Boulud highly! For some reason, the chicken was overdone and dry this time, but that's unusual.
Good service, excellent food and presentation
The food has been mediocre for awhile. Ambience and service is always good. Disappointed.
As you will know from consulting your reservati0n charts, I go tBar Boulud all the time.
I often go by myself without a reservation.
My only suggestion is you change the menu more often than you do. Your chefs might be
Everything was superb. From the initial greeting at the door to the manager and somm down to support staff everyone is inviting and friendly. Amazing meal, thank you all.
We had a lovely brunch this past Sunday. We both started with the chilled corn soup which was different and delicious. For entrees, I chose the salmon eggs Benedict and my husband the pasta entree. The eggs were perfectly poached and my husband enjoyed pasta dish.
This was surprisingly bad. I eat here reasonably often, primarily because it's convenient but also because it's generally reliable. Generally, but not always. Certainly not last week. Corn soup was disgraceful in color and taste - only the silken texture was good. The greyish cast was hard to understand; the taste of corn was so faint as to seem hallucinated rather than actually taste. Fries were good. A salad, slightly wilted, came with no dressing. Service was good.
Notre expérience a été merveilleuse, comme toujours - services, nourriture, etc.
Cependant, votre eau pétillante ca
rayon laisse beaucoup à désirer.
Easily the most perfect French omelette I’ve ever eaten. Who would think that the humble egg could be so transporting? I’ve had dinners and post-theater suppers at Bar Boulud before, and it’s always been competent but unremarkable. I don’t know what they’re doing in the kitchen at brunch, but whatever it is, I hope they keep on doing it.
Our favorite place! Lunch celebrating my retirement with Joe helping us out.
Had lyonnaise salad which as it said included very non traditional ingredients. I don’t think it works well. Had my first lyonnaise salad in Lyon and am adventurous with food but chicken livers are just too heavy for that. Do u sell many of those?
Great option if you're near Lincoln Center. Casual place good for dates, small groups. Dinner for 4 with drinks came out to $230 excluding gratuities. Service is efficient and the place runs like a well oiled machine. Facilities are clean and easy to access. Not sure if there is elevator access. Something to look into as there is a private room and restrooms are in the basement.
Great wine list and menu has something for everybody.
Great choice if going to Lincoln Center ( or anytime). Consistently good food, if a little pricey, but well worth it.
Amazing Chef and staff! I dine here every time I am in NYC. Outdoor patio the best! But I love the cozy feel indoors in the winter!
Very good escargots, fresh perfectly cooked trout, creamy potato purée, succulent duck and delicious rich chocolate mousse, made for a very good French meal ! Service was attentive and the restaurant was pleasantly quiet.
Any pate' you try, will be outstanding!! Enjoy a lovely glass of wine with that pate'. Small but impressive selection of single malt scotch. Service is amazing! Snag a table looking outside, at all of the activity on the street. The location across the street from Lincoln Center makes this a great choice!
Overall a nice place for dinners with a date, friends, family. Great for occasions! Food was a bit on the salty side.
