We went for an early dinner before attending a performance at the NY City ballet. We had the pre fix menu; excellent! Loved the wine recommendation to pair with the duck confit. Attentive service and lovely ambiance. Will definitely go again.

For a relatively quick and still fabulous dinner before an evening at Lincoln Center you cannot beat Bar Boulud. It is perfect! The service is quick and professional, the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating and the food is outstanding!

The food here is always fabulous but the service was lacking during this visit. We had a significant wait for any table attention after seated and had to continually flag down our waiter to get service. Several times, other waitstaff (2 different waitresses) took care of us while we sat with finished, dirty plates. Additionally, we were seated next to the register where the waitstaff and managers gathered, practically hanging over the back my husband’s chair, and chatted. Sadly, these problems detracted from a delicious meal.

Went with a friend before the Philharmonic and everything was superb. Food was amazing, wonderful wine and incredibly kind and knowledgeable service from the minute you walk in the door.

My friends and I had brunch before the ballet. Food and service was awesome. Each of us had the 2course fixed price menu. Highly recommend it. Great find was the champagne punch cocktail!

Although we had a reservation, they kept us waiting for 40 minutes. Once we were seated, it went further downhill. Very slow service, mediocre food, outrageous bill.

We haven’t been to Bar Boulud for a number of years and decided to give it another try. The hostesses, wait staff and suits that walk/work the room were all pleasant and efficient. The cocktails and wines by the glass were very good as was the squash soup and the trout. But—one of us made the mistake of ordering the leek appetizer and the mussels, both of which were really unacceptable and should have been sent back , hard to do when you have a curtain to make. So—s o a mixed review.

As usual the food was good but it was a meal before the Opera and we got our table 25 minutes lae. This is not admissible. WE has to rush the food and could not finish our expensive bottle of wine

Our server was outstanding & the food very good. However the tables & chairs are so crammed together & the noise level so high that the dining experience is very diminished.

We are starting to make Bar Boulud the place we go if we have dinner with friends after Sunday chamber music concerts at Alice Tully Hall. It has more reasonable prices and much better cuisine than the vast majority of restaurants in easy walking distance from Lincoln Center. The staff is friendly and professional. The noise level is high, but so is most everywhere else.

The food wasn’t bad, just wasn’t really good. Not what you would expect for the price. Staff was great and the venue was too. Nice buzz. Just ordinary food. Like not a lot of effort went into it

Charcuterie & food in general r good with good portion size. Option to substitute fries with vege cooked healthily is great! Not good to have flavor enhancer in mussel soup base!

Four of us made a reservation at Bar Bouloud, a first visit for all. We had a wonderful time. It’s a fun place with great service, and the food was exceptional. I had the trout which was not only delicious but light and healthy. The Baked Alaska dessert was INSANE.

I ordered a Nicose salad without anchovy. It was so salty that it was barely edible. It looked beautiful though. I considered sending it back, but I felt badly and just left a lot of it behind.

My friend ordered fish and I tasted it. It was excellent

The wine was delicious and the service very attentive

Perfect for before a Lincoln Center Performance. We had the Escargots, Lobster Roll and Frenchie Burger. They were all great! We had ordered the Burger medium well and it came out medium rare, but they fixed it right away (with an apology and a comp). Our waitress was delightful, and the management was attentive, but not overbearing. It was active enough to be exciting, but not too noisy for great conversation. Prices are a bit still, but I will be back!

Food was great, very creative and high quality. The wine selection was also impressive and quite non-'standard' and reasonably priced. All great but there is one small problem, food is served too fast. Going to the restaurant is not only about eating, we need to have a time for conversation. Dinner is not a lunch so give us 20-30min break between meals. If you can do it than I would say you are excellent.

One of the few times that I've gone to a "big name" restaurant recently in NYC and wasn't disappointed, didn't feel that I'd just wasted a bunch of money, didn't walk out thinking "I could've made a better dinner at home." Everything was excellent. Wine by the glass was a bit pricey, but our server made a good recommendation for the wonderful daurade dish.

The wine by the glass was reasonably priced and they accommodated my sons vegan diet quite graciously.

Got off to a shaky start but then settled in. The table they offered was ridiculous - pressed up against a plexiglass divider and totally weird. After we requested to move to a normal table things got better. Food excellent as always. Sommelier a bit strange affected manner. Nice low ambient noise level. Overall we were satisfied.

The Lynnais Salad is a disgrace: I had 2 (two)
tiny little pieces of liver between too much
bacon !!
My partner had the Coque au vin: that was pure delight.
Your desert menue is un-exceptable!!
