   Cozy, cute and comfortable. Food was tasty, service was quick and everyone was so friendly. The yuca fries were so well done, I've had cassava fries elsewhere and they don't compare. The lasagna was a great portion and tasty, the cheesecake just right. The drink was also refreshing -not too sweet or strong. And I don't even like white rum. I'd recommend here to anyone.

   My family and I went for brunch during Winterlicious but ordered the tequeños to start. The appetizer came with a delicious garlic mayo (wasacaca). What a terrific choice - crispy outside withwarm cheese on the inside. 4 out of 5 of us ordered the plantains with cheese from the Winterlicious menu’s appetizer choices (we were not disappointed), our table tried all of the mains and each of the desserts. All of the mains were warm, tasty and generously portioned. I was so full I only finished one of the two Venezuelan empanadas. The yuca fries that each of the mains came with were very crispy and perfectly seasoned. We were split on the desserts, we all liked the alfajor (soft cookie filled with dulce de leche) and the sweet doughnut bites but I’d say the alfajor won out. We really enjoyed our visit, the staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was bright and noise level was low. We will definitely be back!

   Es la posta. Delicious arepas and empanadas, fernet and coke, and super nice staff. Will be back to try the parrillada!

   I often have trouble with noisy restaurants in Toronto making it very hard for me to hear others at my table. I found the ambience and noise level at Bar Bacan perfect. The service was wonderful, warm and friendly. The food was a perfect combination of mixed cultures and delicious. I'll definitely be going back!

   Amazing food! Went in on a rainy Tuesday lunch & there were plenty of available tables — would love to come back for dinner and try their cocktails as well as more of the menu!

    We had a lovely evening out on the patio. The papelon was super refreshing and the arepas and yucca fries were fantastic!! Service was just right.
