Beautiful outdoor dining. Excellent food. Great service.
Amazing brunch, get the french toast, a blackbird doughnut obviously, and the tropical fruit salad. The honey limeade was the icing on the cake. YUM!
Great time and delicious food.
Perfect outdoor dining seating by a flower garden.
The best drinks
Outdoor seating during the evening was great & our server was very accomodating. The food was not as good especially considering its price range.
Great birthday celebration ! Safe distance of seating and staff are masked and gloved! Excellent food!
Food was very mediocre at the price point. Sauces overpowered mediocre textures and poor execution of easier dishes. For the price, it was not anywhere near where it should have been. That said - service was fantastic and the drinks were great. Would go back for a drink in a second, but likely wouldn't eat there again.
Food was fresh and delicious. I went with my family and order items to share.
Had concerns considering the coronavirus! Didn’t have to worry at all. Temp checks, lots of space between tables, zero contact etc. Great food! Got the wrong food a few times, but alas things happen. I would definitely recommend for a date. Great outdoor ambiance.
The vibe was very nice
Excellent service and food! The patio looked spectacular and the staff made us feel safe all the time!
The tables were not 6 feet apart- this feels critical during COVID
Great brunch with my cousins! This was the first time having their brunch menu and it was amazing! It’s unfortunate that the brunch menu isn’t as “cultured” as the dinner options but never the less the food was amazing. If you’re interested in more asian style cuisine though I would come at dinner.
Everything was PERFECT! We were so pleased to have found this gem online! We had the sticky wings, fried fish, & crab fried rice...wish we had left overs so that I could have some more now haha! Service was also great! As soon as we arrived the hostess said happy anniversary to us. (We were celebrating our 1 yr marriage anniversary!) When we were sat, the server brought over two complimentary glasses of champagne. Super sweet! (Though I'm pregnant and could not enjoy lol, my husband got to enjoy two glasses!) Everything came out on time and nice and hot..we finished win the creme brulee pineapple & mango/vanilla swirl soft serve. Best dinner we have had in a long time! Thank you so much for making our anniversary special for us ❤️
The patio is a must! Being able to sit outside and enjoy the delicious food is perfection!
In spite of the fact that it is only the second week since they reopened, Banyan has it all figured out. From their paper order form, to their waitstaff who are attentive but not cloying, it is a perfect way to re-enter the restaurant dining scene. As a home cook who loves a variety of cuisines, the banal comfort food of the last two months has been missing inventive flavor, texture and tastes. Banyan's food is fresh, inventive, and refreshingly light yet satisfying-
One minor flaw (and it is not really their fault) there were people waiting for their table that were not wearing masks, which is a huge factor in whether or not I will return soon.
Love all the vegan options !!! Juicy greens passion fruit dressing is a must !!’
Great patio, good drinks, excellent service, and interesting food options.
Great new menu, amazing drinks, and the patio is beautiful as always. Great attention to allergies and respect of covid measures. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you for a wonderful evening!!!
Loved eating outside on the patio
Felt very safe on our first outdoor dining experience. New menu very good, especially the Asian spin on Mexican street corn and the *tremendous* chicken wings. Great 'Rhythm of the Night' cocktail and summer sangria. Outstanding service! Really, really nice space. The paper menus need to be more substantial for outdoors though...and I really wish they'd bring the oyster bao back.
To start off, the food here was very decent; however, we had a number of problems with the restaurant itself. First off, upon booking the reservation the restaurant advertised a happy hour menu on their website which sounded like a great deal, hence the reason we made a reservation in the first place. Upon arrival we were told the restaurant was no longer offering the happy hour menu and we were given a new menu that resembled nothing similar to the menus on the website we viewed. In addition, the restaurant had a 48-hour cancellation policy and would charge $35 per person for cancellations in the form of a gift card and added a $5 courtesy to each check (both of which we had to read about online and were not told about upon placing a reservation).
We ordered the prawn mee, brisket and drinks. The prawn mee was very oily for a ramen-like soup and the prawns were not peeled and only some were deveined which made it very difficult to eat. It's impossible to eat the shrimp inside the prawn mee because in order to eat them you need to remove them from the greasy soup and allow them to cool before peeling and getting oil all over your hands. In addition, the silverware we received when seated was dirty and when we requested an additional set of silverware/spoon the waiter forgot about us and we never received it. The brisket was good at first, but was too sweet to eat as a meal due to the amount of sweetened coconut on top.
This was our first experience at Banyan and we're very disappointed, but I'd like to think this is just a fluke due to reopening after quarantine closures and the new standards that are being applied. We're open to trying it again once the happy hour is reinstated and things go back to normal.
It was great !
I had a blast at Banyan! Their food was amazing specially the beef brisket and broccoli dish. Oh and this coffee flan was so good too. The outdoor atmosphere was amazing. The service was on point. Food and drinks came out quick. I would definitely visit again soon.
Wonderful outdoor patio, very careful precautions around the virus (much appreciated)?
Enjoyed the cold sesame noodles and bao buns very much. The Mai Tai was very unusual; don't expect a classic Mai Tai flavor if that is what you are looking for.
The server was excellent friendly and was very helpful with food and drink selection
My partner and I made a reservation at Banyan for dinner after having drinks there the weekend before. It was a Monday night so the restaurant was not busy. Nonetheless, the service was inviting, attentive, and professional throughout our time. The manager even treated us to a complimentary cocktail! Would recommend!
We went for happy hour and got to enjoy the delicious dumplings. Loved the decor and our server was super nice. I had the Mac n cheese ramen, which was unique and tasty. My partner had the burger and he said it was fantastic. Avocado bao was amazing!
Before going, we had read only a few reviews that said the ambiance was a lot better than the food. I would have to agree 100%. The place looks great, but the food was just ok.
The best part of the meal was the Swiss chard appetizer, and from a carnivore, that says a lot. We had the kung Pao dumplings but didn't finish them as the meat in them did not taste fresh. We also got the fried rice and although it tasted fine, it was overly soggy and wet (there was a puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl) which is an awkward texture for fried rice. Lastly, we got coffee at the end of the meal, but the coffee was cold.
I'd go back for drinks and would definitely get the Swiss chard again, but would not go back for food.
Got seated for our reservation without the full party right away. Food was delicious, especially the brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. Smaller plates are a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. Ambiance is great, beautiful decor, lively, but not too loud, we could still hear each other talk.
A tasteless experience at an Asian fusion restaurant is really disappointing.
I have been here a lot. The menu is not large, but everything is delicious and the staff is great.
AMAZING! I was really taken a back. I wish I could give this place more stars. AMAZING! The environment is a refuge just as the name says. A first it looked pretentious but after being warmly greeted by the host and the friendly nature of the staff I immediately felt at home. The FOOD is incredible... from the baos to the Cinnamon Toast Mochi. All the food was perfectly timed, precise temperature and pretty enough time take a picture! Mary was our server and she is AMAZING! Incredibly friendly and had insight on the food and history of the restaurant.
I would absolutely recommend this place and will be back myself!
Came in late for a reservation and they still had no problem making sure I could finish my meal and pay in time to get to the theater nearby. Waiter was phenomenal and could see my date and I had a bad day (and we were very wet as it was raining) and she took great care of us. Could not have been more pleased with the service, food, or drinks.
A crab sushi roll with white nori .... yummy
GO FOR HAPPY HOUR! Loved their deals, food and cute esthetic
The food was outstanding, and the hostess/front of the house manager was the most welcoming and lovely I’ve come across in a long time, offering to carry our stroller up the stairs and just overall so helpful and pleasant.
Expensive and very average. Spent $170 on a burger, fried chicken and 3 drinks...felt bloated and horrible
