Always consistently good on all levels. It’s a go to place for any occasion.
Always having a good time and the food is always amazing. For ten years now Everytime we Come to New York we eat at bann.
Bann continues to be a great Korean restaurant. My request to the restaurant on my Open Table reservation was simple: the usual excellent food and service. Bann did not disappoint. It was a relatively simple meal. We shared two appetizers, Dae Ji Jim (baby pork ribs) and Bann Garibi (a minced sea scallop and mushroom mousse), followed by a rice dish, Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap with beef. This was followed by a chocolate cake and ice cream (it was a birthday dinner, after all). As usual, service was excellent.
We had a great dinner. It was our first time going our for Korean food, and the waiter helped us understand the menu and gave us specific guidance on how much and what to order. We had the tuna grill and the miso cod. Both were excellent and the portion sizes were large and the tuna was really fresh. We both had an excellent meal.
After we got our food we never saw our server again. We wanted another round of drinks but that never happened. Pork buns pretty good but rice bowl with beef had barely any beef at all, just a few tiny pieces, smaller than a postage stamp. Very expensive for the quality, and being ignored by waitstaff.
A definite favorite! Delicious food, great service. Reliable menu and lots of options!
Good service, delicious food. Would have loved to order dessert but full from appetizer of ribs and sharing entree of ribeye bbq and Kochi and pork belly soup.
With fish, meats and vegetables you can cook yourself at the table, Bann can be a pleasurable change from other restaurants. The ingredients are fresh and the service is thoughtful, but our last two visits were overshadowed by parties of raucous diners so loud it was impossible to have a conversation. Unfortunately the staff did nothing to advise them to keep it down in deference to other guests.
Very flavorful food! Fast friendly service! Open grill at the table was a fun way to BBQ your steak, chicken, shrimp, salmon and veggies. Very tasty and plenty of food! Highly recommend!
The filet was incredible and the japchae is the best I ever had
Very nice and cozy restaurant . Service was good and attentive . The food arrived in a timely manner and was served hot and delicious. The noise level was ambient and not distracting if you wanted to carry on a conversation. Overall a very nice, relaxing time. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would come again.
Bann was fantastic. this is the second time I've been and I love the food every single time!
Good Korean food, but not great. Nice ambiance.
The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. I would highly recommed it. Can't wait to return.
The food was Amazing and Portion was well worth the price. The waiter was okay wish he would have been more at tentative.
We visited there at lunch time. The restaurant was packed with customers at every table around 12:30-13:00, but it was not noisy. The atmosphere was comfortable. The staffs were very nice, friendly and helpful. The interior was chic, the restroom was clean, and their food was also very nice.
Quick service. Excellent experience
My fiancé and I went for a pre-theatre dinner and had a really good meal. We shared the beef tartare and the chicken steamed buns. The steamed buns were good but the tartare was a little lacking. It still got finished but I would skip it next time. For entrees we got the Bokkum Bop and the Bann Gooksu and both were really good. The service was well paced and speedy enough for pre-theatre. We would definitely return.
We enjoyed the quality and interactive experience . Wait staff was on point. We will def go back
Had to wait regardless of reservation. Soju was 20 bucks a bottle, where it’s 1 dollar in Korea and maybe 10 in equivalent restaurants
The food is excellent and service is great! Recommend the Bulgogi
Food was from the freezer aisle.
I'm not a connoisseur of Korean food, but I enjoyed what we ate, the portions were generous, grilling your own food is always fun (especially for city-dwellers without backyard grills), and the wait staff were truly excellent -- friendly, helpful, prompt.
The lychee martinis are a MUST. Our food was even better than the martinis. Everything was fresh and made perfectly. The desserts were definitely the cherry on top on ending a lovely evening.
We came here from dinner Saturday night with an OpenTable RSVP for 8:00pm. The table wasn't ready for another 30mins, but the hostess felt so bad for it that we got a free appetizer and dessert with our meal. We weren't in a rush, so the extra time at the bar wasn't a hassle or anything. The bartender was also quite nice. The food was delicious and tasted authentic. The restaurant is quite large, so there were quite a few groups there. We had very attentive service. Overall a great experience, even with the extra wait. We'll definitely go back.
Meh. Fairly good food, disappointing level of service
Always love Bann. Great fresh selections either off the menu or grill yourself. Delicious and fresh. Good size portions for the price. Also nice for treating a visitor to a special dinner out.
Cooking in the bbq is fun!
3 people ate the meal that says it’s for 4-6 people, so make sure you order extra or you will leave hungry.
Sake is expensive but delicious
Loved the Korean BBQ. And the desserts were a hit too. Would like a few more sides but overall a good place to eat in the city.
We had NYE dinner at Bann on December 31, 2017. Overall, the food was good and delicious except the waiter misheard what I ordered and brought me other meal, which I thought the one I ordered. However, the waiter fixed the issue easily. I highly reccomend the place to others.
Very fun to go to with a group. Food is delicious!
We enjoyed our meal very much prior to attending a play close by. Food was very good and the wait staff very attentive.
there are three words that can express this “bann”. they are “good,” “better,” and the “best.” the taste was really great and their service was excellent
반 레스토랑을 표현할 수 있는 단어는 3개가 있어요 좋고 더 좋고 그리고 최고라는 거죠. 진짜 맛있게 먹었고 서비스도 좋습니다^^
Bann was so wonderful! We had the glass noodle appetizer, mushroom bbq, and tofu main dish. 3 of us shared it and it was all delicious and enough for us all. It was also fun to cook the mushrooms ourselves. The staff was so friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back the next time we are in nyc! Also, we were 15 minutes late for our reservation but they held it and let us know it was no problem
I picked Bann a bit randomly after our plans for a different Korean restaurant fell through; only when I arrived did I realize I've walked by it many times while passing through Worldwide Plaza. The food was delicious--we had several appetizers (steamed buns were a standout), bibimbap and kalbi. They also have a fun cocktail list. Prices are a bit high--the dishes aren't super-elevated, but you're looking at $20-25 for an entree--but portions are generous.
The service was friendly and attentive but not pushy...we lingered at our table long enough for me to feel a bit guilty, but not once did the staff make us feel at all rushed. This section of midtown can be a bit of a restaurant desert, so this is a nice spot when you want something better than a pub but not a hotel restaurant.
Great food, but a very crowded table situation. Because the tables have barbeque pits in them they can't be moved around. We had 5 people squeezed into a table meant for 4 with no possible way to shift the table to make more space for the chair at the end. We are also used to spicier korean food, but maybe you have to ask for it to be regular spice? This was our second time there. The time before was before the theater, and very comfortable. This time was for dinner and was more crowded then we were hoping for. But that is NY! next time we will go earlier, we do love it there.
Nice meal and excellent circumstance!!! Experience fantastic quisine~!
Terrible food....near to nothing side dishes. Side dishes are what Korean food is all about. Slow service....had to ask for water numerous times. Had to ask for bowls and spoons. We ordered soup. The only good thing is they take reservations.
