Bann's location in Midtown makes it a convenient space for hosting corporate parties.
Had a very nice meal and the service was excellent. Barbecue was excellent. The seafood soup was not as flavorful as we would have liked.
The best Korean BBQ restaurant in Manhattan especially before or after a Broadway show.
Fairly warn out neighborhood restaurant that is cheap and fair. Large portions of that is what you are looking for. The service is outstanding . A cheap place to go for a large meal.
Literally came to NYC for good Korean BBQ, outside of K-town. It was a pretty awesome experience! The meat is delicious (esp the filet mignon and short ribs), they let you cook it yourself (sometimes for non-Korean speakers they just take over the BBQ part, which takes some of the fun out of it). Good amount of food, and not too overwhelming with the side dishes as well! Best part was the shaved snow dessert, which comes in a bowl completely made of ICE. It was amazing. The restaurant has plenty of space, is clean and well-decorated, and was generally just a great surprise find in the Midtown West area!
Great food. Steamed buns, tempura, and bi bim bap all excellent.
So much fun. We grilled our fish and meat on the grill in the middle of the table. Ingrediants are excellent - so fresh and perfectly prepared. The waiter offered to grill the vegetables in the kitchen and that was very helpful. WE had such a wonderful time and dinner - loved it all.
For a Korean restaurant that cook BBQ on your table, they somehow decided not turn on air conditioner in the middle of the summer and only left a small door open for fresh air. Dishes are on the higher side of Korean restaurants but services and banchan are not in line with that price. Dishes are OK, but both BBQ preset had salmon in it which feels weird for Korean BBQ. We asked if we can replace salmon with something else but unfortunately the only option is to order separately if you don't like it.
Overall we had high hopes for this place, but it didn't come close to our expectation.
Very nice looking restaurant in the north end of the theater district. Ate there Saturday nite. Not busy, but not empty. Has a bar, but liquor selection is limited, couldn't even offer a Bloody Mary. Good Korean Barbecue, but does not have a salad bar, just a few small table service items like a very small dish of Kimshi and a couple of pieces of lettuce, to make what they refer to as lettuce wrap, but actually just a small piece of lettuce and a piece of carrot, far from a conventional Chinese "lettuce wrap" Steak and tuna choices were tasty and marinated nicely, but portion was modest. Price for barbecue dinner and a saki for two with tax was about $80. Also had non-barbecue menu items, but didn't order. Also didn't order desert or other beverages.
A nice place to eat in midtown. No crazy expensive for the area. Had salmon and filet mignon, enjoyed it.
Perfect birthday dinner for a 12-yo boy and his friends.
Went to Bann for my birthday with a friend. had the best experience, the food waa excellent, would definitely go back soon.
Had a large group that evening, 11 people. They were able to accommodate over three tables. Had a great time. The kimchi was outstanding!
A little more expensive than we were looking for, but it was worth the money. It was delicious and the servings were generous.
Great Korean BBQ with little grills in the tables. Wonderful filet mignon! Great service. Lots of food!
Food was mediocre and ingredients were nice t first class but it was pricey
My husband and I love Korean food, from street on up.
This was probably our highest “level” of experience to date.
The restaurant is beautiful, the menu well sorted, and the service professional, yet unassuming.
We feasted and were not disappointed with the quality of ingredients, and the deliciousness.
This will be a new addition to favorite spots, our other in the neighborhood is Danji.
We like that the experience of both are different from each other.
Bann is great for a gang or for an intimate get together.
Needed something near the Theatre District for pre-Hamilton meal for 5, including two hearty-eating teenagers. We had 3 appetizers, and the large barbecue platter, and everything was very good, and plentiful. We all had fun cooking what we wanted on the grills, and the teenagers even opted for dessert!
Delicious food! Great cocktails! Courteous, attentive waitstaff. I’ve been a fan of this place for years.
Amazing service (they kept filling my water glass) and great food (complete with gluten free option)! The portions were also solid, not too small.
Great Korean Barbeque in a great location. Grill yourself or if you are in a rush, like us, let the kitchen do it!
This was my 2nd time here and it did not disappoint! Very fun time cooking own food both with my 10 year son the first time and a group of mom friends the second. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely recommend and go back.
Bann is one of greatest Korean restaurants in New York!
Fun cooking own food. Happy hour was great! Food has always been very good. I’ll be back
The food is excellent, the service always great. We come here at least once or twice a month!
Took grandnephew (14) for first barbeque experience. He (and I ) loved it. He couldn't stop talking about how delicious the filet mignon was. I also was happy to find it so close to our hotel in Rock Center. Will return as soon as I visit NYC again.
Super service, friendly staff, lovely food.
I have been to Band for dinner a few times before, but not for a few years. Lunch there did not disappoint. My friend and I shared a steamed beef bun appetizer, then she had the beef bibimbap, and I had a bento box with miso cod. The food was delicious and plentiful - we certainly did not need the appetizer. In fact, I ended up taking home the leftovers and having a full dinner the next evening. Our servers were very good and pleasant, and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up. My Korean mother, who is very picky about Korean restaurants, really likes Bann. I agree! I'll be back again sooner.
We enjoyed the food and the service was very good. The Korean version of steak tartare was amazing.
I’ve been here over a dozen times and everything on the menu is excellent - from the appetizers to dessert. Somewhat Westernized yet still authentic, if that makes sense.
This was my second time at the restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. I got the filet mignon, shrimp, and assorted vegetable platter. I would suggest having the vegetables cooked before you get them and the meat was tender and very flavorful. The staff is also very polite and caring, always there when you need them. I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend and even come back here myself.
Food was great, we had large table for 12 and had an amazing time.
I made a reservation for my uncle when he was in town. The reservation started at 4 and when more of their friends wanted to join, the restaurant allowed them to grow to a party of 9. Great service! It was everyone’s first time having Korean BBQ and they had a blast. Thanks Bann!
Good portion size! Enjoyable experience
Food was wonderful! Server was not very engaging but otherwise a great experience. Bussers were excellent; they were attentive, friendly, and made sure our table was always clean. I would definitely recommend!
Fantastic! We were visiting from out of town and heading to see Wicked afterwards. The meal was spectacular, memorable, and we will definitely be back when in the Theater District!
This was a perfect spot for lunch before our matinee broadway play! Fantastic food and ambience.
Bann is a great find through Yelp. The entire staff is polite, attentive & accommodating.. Both the food & wine menus are well thought out. The calamari appetizer was light, sweetly spicy & tender. We also enjoyed the (healthful) bi bim bap in the hot stone bowl, as well as the dae ji kalbi (the well-seasoned pork was cooked perfectly) which was recommended by our waiter. There were no empty tables by 8pm on a Monday. However, it'd be better to relocate the restaurant entrance to 50th St, instead of its plaza center position which is easily missed. Next time we'll barbecue. Highly recommend.
This is one of my favourite restaurants and I absolutely adore Manny!
Food was generally authentic. Everything was delicious (get the jap chae!), and service was excellent.
The food was average, the ambiance was pleasant, and the food took a while, to the point we had to rush out to make our show, even though we sat down and hour and a half before needing to leave.
