Everything is Great.
We really appreciated how the executive chef and owner, Chef Banks, came by to say hi and then came by again to see how everything was going. He and his team really made us feel like VIPs! All of the food was absolutely delicious. Sean was an excellent server. 100% recommend!
Fabulous waitress who was very helpful and attentive. Always great food whether you call it Harry’s or Bank’s.
Crab cake delicious actually had crab. Lots of places in Phila. crab cake is filler.
Like Reading Terminal & Comcast food court all filler.
My friend had fish & chips liked it a lot.
Like this place, been here many times when we are in De.
Sunday night special clams casino to die for! Wife had lobster dinner special very reasonably priced.
Clams Casino are excellent. Lobster was cooked perfect. Creme Brulee was a disaster. I am not sure how it even left the kitchen. I would try again, maybe Happy Hour.
The soft-shell crabs were terrific and the service attentive. VERY happy with my experience under the new management!
We have been going to this seafood restaurant for many years and have never had a bad meal. (Harry's) The food this time was just okay. Just okay is not good enough for the prices charged. The service was not great, we have had way better here. I don't think the staff could keep up with the amount of people. They won't have to worry about that long. The dining room on the kitchen side was packed in so tight we constantly had wait staff whizzing by our table or with their backside to us while they worked the tables around us, constantly bumping and saying excuse me. The waiter told us they moved the tables in like this for Valentines Day and management decided to keep the set up. The more tables they fill the more $ they make. Bad move on the part of the new owner. Usually I would give a second chance but since the owner has been here all along (exec chef), he should know better, we won't waste anymore money here. Good bye riverfront Icon.
Nice oysters. Tasteful sashimi. Ceviche was ok. Nice service. Tables are close to each other.
We love Harry's Seafood Grill! The serve the freshest fish in creative ways.
I'd give this a 4.5 stars overall. The food is about 4.8. The drinks are decent - nothing special, but no missteps either. They actually have really good quality seafood and an original tapas menu, which is not easy to come by in northern DE. My friend visiting from Philly was "pleasantly surprised". Our favorites were the tapas items especially the poke and ceviche dishes. The lobster was done perfectly and very tasty, the sea bass good but the fried calamari was definitely sub-par (rubbery and tasteless with a bland sauce). Our group of 5 friends (males and females) had an attentive waiter but the order to table pace was a bit slow at times. This is NOT a good venue for a romantic dinner. The worst part was the restroom set up. Their bathrooms are outside the restaurant in a hallway, which was rather chilly and they were NOT attractive at all. How can such a pricey restaurant have such a low-class bathroom? But we had a good time and I'd go back again for the seafood tapas to be sure.
The worst service all around! We were from out of town and our waiter knew nothing! We waited 45min for service after being seated! The food was subpar and because I’m a good critic and blogger ...I will say it wasn’t worth the trouble. I do not recommend this Resturant on any level!
Food, Service and Quality were fantastic... I love this place!!!
We had a reservation for 7 PM and were a little disappointed that we weren’t seated for at least 30 minutes after arriving. We waited in the foyer of the restaurant to be seated and looking back on it, I wish the hostess had suggested we would should go sit in the bar to wait. It might’ve made the time pass by more quickly. Our server was really friendly and that made made the evening a more relaxing experience
We enjoying to Harry’s Seafood before plays at the Delaware Theatre. Harry’s give theatre goers a small discount, which is a friendly thing to offer patrons. The food is always very good. I always have a fish dish, the specialty of the restaurant and I am never disappointed. The service is excellent. Tables by the river offer fine views.
Overall a very good meal. Service and ambiance were wonderful and the food was very good - maybe a little overpriced for the portions on the entrees. So that’s why it wasn’t 5 stars. Did not have dessert but they had a lot of options.
I met with a friend for lunch and we had a delicious lunch. The calamari was outstanding; love the fried jalapenos! The crab cake sandwich was excellent according to my colleague. However, I ordered the tuna poke and it was not edible. It was overly spiced and overly seasoned - you could not taste the beautiful tuna! It was so seasoned that there were "crunchy bits" on the tuna. The wait staff was very apologetic and offered to get another item for me, but we were out of time.
This would in NO WAY deter me from returning to Harry's Seafood. It is consistently delicious, fresh and high quality. This particular dish was a one-off.
We took a relative to Harry's for a special occasion and they did not disappoint! Even though caesar salad was not on the menu, they made one for him anyway, which was very thougthful. We had the clams casino appetizer which was very good and our entrees were delicious!
oysters were shucked perfectly!!! trout was perfectly done!!! only issue was lobster mashed (lobster was very chewy)...
The seafood tower for two was very well done, cold seafood well shucked and looked really nice. Service is always excellent here. I had the crab cake which was good and husband had the lobster rol.l which he said was good. Nice place
We always enjoy Harry’s. My wife had scallops and I had the crab cakes. Both were exceptional.
Food was very good, our waiter was awesome. The only real negative was we were seated in the bar area and there were 4 extremely loud patrons who were probably well into their happy hour that made it so noisy that it essentially ruined what was to be a quiet Valentine's Day dinner.
It is my wife's favorite restaurant so, as my date night for Valentines Day Dinner, we went there. The food was perfect and they even provided a complimentary glass of Champagne upon entry. Because of the occasion, it was a little louder than normal but, understandably so.
Over all, great night!
the servers were terrific, we went for a Valentine lunch, expecting to order a dinner and the servers accommodated us. We really appreciated that!!
We love Harry's, especially the Maine lobster and the crab cakes! It is generally a first choice for our family on birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. We highly recommend this restaurant for their great food, waterfront view and quiet but friendly atmosphere!
Always have the best meals there. Ashley it the best server there. If you go, you should ask for her.
Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere was fantastic....It was my first time there and i took my wife for our anniversary...We will definitely be going back !!
Excellent service and cuisine !
Fried calamari was excellent as usual although I wish the chef would bring back the avocado dipping sauce. They have the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried it many places. They say the secret is that they only use fresh-caught. Fish pot was very good, but a little skimpy on seafood. The moules frites were also quite good.
Always a delightful experience. Rockfish and scallops were exceptional.
My daughter accepted a proposal from her fiancee. What a time with great food. I think they marked Harry's as an engagement anniversary landmark. Thanks!
Excellent lobster, panko fried oysters, rock fish, as usual. The service was attentive without being intrusive. A restaurant that we frequent and enjoy. We were hoping that the change in ownership would not damage the experience and it didn’t.
Management refused to honor valid gift cards (clearly marked "Valid for life") for use at Harry's seafood grill, Harry's Savoy & kid shelleen's.
They would rather lose customers than deal with Harry's hospitality group.
Obviously the "amicable" split previously reported in Delaware online is not true.
This behavior makes me wonder what other unethical acts they are committing.
I won't go back.
Was excited to eat on the water but it was not visible at all even from outside..needed lights or something outside by the water to make it feel more like an experience.
My parents told my daughter and I to celebrate my birthday. The waitress was nice, but the service was lacking. We all got the lobster boil dinner and I was sharing with my daughter (8) since we also got apps.
- the calamari is done perfectly
- the creme brûlée!!
- bread was never brought to the table until asked for after we got our apps
- had to track down another server to get a spoon for my daughter
- the lobsters were 1.25lbs at best but definitely not 1.5lbs. The tail on my mother’s lobster looked like a large shrimp
- couldn’t find our service to get a plate for my daughter so we had to resort to using the soup bowl
- the potatoes were terrible. They must have been just sitting in water all night just a mushy inedible mess.
- we never got refills on our water until she brought the check
- my Irish coffee tasted like straight Jameson’s and our server was once MIA so I could get some more coffee in it
I would have let most of this go if the restaurant was busy and she had many tables to attend to, but there were only about 10 tables with at least 4 servers I counted as I was constantly scanning the room trying to locate ours. I did find her in the corner chatting with the other server.
Always good. John is an excellent waiter.
Margarita our server was wonderful on her explanation and descriptions of the very large seafood menu.
This was my 2nd year celebrating my birthday at Harry's. They gave me everything I wanted. A reserved larger booth...that delicious Lobster Naked and the best Moscow Mules. I have no complaints ...everyone is nice and goes out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.
The CEVICHE SAMPLER OF OYSTER, SCALLOP, SCARLET SNAPPER was rather tasteless except for the jalapeno slices coming thru...
The OVEN ROASTED CORVINA GARLIC ROASTED POTATO, TEMPURA FRIED BUTTERNUT SQUASH, CRANBERRY-GINGER VINAIGRETTE was excellent...
The Bronzino special was also excellent...
Much too noisy a restaurant... and tables for two for "miniscule" in size...
