Menu needs some more variety.
It was restaurant week and the 3 course meal was a great value for $35. There were 6 of us and we enjoyed our dinner. One issue was the small portion of fish that two of the men got. Could have been bigger.
Best raw clams ever!
Only place on the East Coast that serves "lobster in the raw."
My Mom and sister moved to the area a year ago and I was visiting to celebrate an early Mother’s Day. I discovered this restaurant by Googling best seafood places in Wilmington. We were all thrilled with the ambiance, unique decorations and food! My Mom loved the freshly squeezed lemonade too. For appetizers the oysters were super fresh and extremely tasty and my sister loved a ceviche appetizer with sciracca and avocado. We also both really enjoyed the crab cake dinner too. My Mom had the scallops which were perfectly preparerd. For dessert the key lime pie was light and perfect to share. We have tried a few places in the area but Banks Seafood is now our favorite restaurant. The caring and attention to detail is apparent. We can’t wait to return on my next visit and look forward to sitting outside on the patio along the water.
All four of us totally enjoyed our meals. We ordered from the restaurant week menu & the value was an extra bonus, three delicious and well-crafted dishes for $35.
Service was attentive but not bothersome.
Looking forward to eating outside as soon as Spring arrives.
One, if not the best, restaurant in Wilmington. Fantastic managers and staff!
Food was just mediocre
Fish is always fresh and food is always great. Often take clients there for lunch.
Food was ok! For a seafood restaurant I have very high expectations when it comes to my salmon, it was just meh.
We had a very good meal here with some clients - 9 people in all. The only issues were that they don't actually have a table large enough to accommodate groups of 9 or more comfortably, and that the bar room (which also has a number of tables) was very loud. The food was really good, as was the service. In all, I'd come back and try sitting in the dining room.
Love this place, come to this place for my client dinner meetings
Disappointed in quality of waitstaff, food and ambiance. Service was very slow and inattentive. Food was not worth the price. The only good part of the meal was the bread which we had to ask for since the waitress forgot to bring.
Sashimi and Oysters were great...would definitely go again
Clam chowder & shrimp for lunch
My friend had the black bean corn shrimp soup, raved
Then a shrimp cocktail
Lovely lunch, good service, company & food..+ 80 out today Friday the 13th
The first nice day this year..even air. cond. on!!!!
Love the raw bar and the various offerings of ceviche! Not so keen on the crab cakes as they had too much filler and little crab
The hostess was accommodating with a request to change seating; the service was excellent; the food was very good.....but a little over priced. I would recommend it and certainly would go again.
Our waiter Marvin was wonderful. Very attentive and personable. The food was first rate. We had a very nice time.
Second time back since the changeover to Banks Seafood Kitchen (longtime Harry's diner). I like the way some new items are making their way to the menu, while some longterm mainstays remain. Ahi Tuna crisps recommended. Very tasty. Will keep returning.
Really great seafood! Service was excellent! Crab mushroom soup was great and Brussels sprout salad that my husband and I shared was also really good. Can't wait to go again
Excellent seafood, attentive and (appropriately) humorous service, but a very noisy restaurant. Not inexpensive but very good and creative dishes. Enjoyed the lobster cioppino but over $40.
This particular location has been open for 2 weeks, and I am expecting it to be the hot spot for the area. I am sure we will continue to patronize this restaurant based on our first experiences.
I have visited this Restaurant several time over the past two years, both with family and friends. As always, I was never disappointed.
The service and food was excellent and the new ownership has not missed a beat. The atmosphere is great and wait time was very short.
Service was excellent! Our entire party enjoyed the apps, entrees and desserts!
Excellent. Our fist time since the change over to “Banks”. Everything was running smoothly and the food just as great as always.
Though it has a new name, the restaurant and chef remain the same. The food and drinks and wait staff were excellent. I requested a different table than the hostess chose, and was immediately offered any table I would like. I did think the portions were a bit smaller and the prices a bit higher, but so it goes. Otherwise, this restaurant is in my top 10% .
Truly excellent food and impeccable service. It is hard to improve at such a high level, yet Chef Banks continues to offer creative seafood dishes exquisitely crafted. Truly a dining destination.
Great location! Excellent staff!! Had a great business lunch!
Higher prices. Tired decor. Same menu. Mediocre execution. Uninspired wine list.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Just wish there were more vegetable sides dishes on the menu and not just green beans. Like maybe sautéed spinach, roasted Brussels sprouts, zucchini, or butternut squash? But, again, a great place and the owner is doing a great job!
The food was outstanding! We knew Chef Banks when he was still affiliated (one of the owners) of the Harry's Group and served as a wonderful mentor to my brother-in-law who is a chef. The raw bar selection was outstanding and everyone raved about every aspect of our meal. We will be returning soon as this is one of the best restaurants in Delaware.
Our server Britany was outstanding. Excellent food made even better by stellar service. The setting is casual so I didn’t expect fine dining touches like having silverware replaced for each course. Well done!
I had been very disappointed in my last visits to this restaurant when it was Harry's Seafood. Expensive and the food was mediocre. It USED to be my favorite restaurant. This was my first visit after the change, and it is BACK to how good it used to be. It is now back in my rotation. There are several new dishes on the menu that I can't wait to try! I'm looking forward to going in the spring and summer when we can sit outside. Only negative is that it doesn't accept reservations for outdoor seating. Wish it would change that.
Pleased to see that food & service remains excellent; like menu additions but appreciate carryover
Everything is Great.
We wondered what to expect since the ownership changed, but no worries there. The calamari was still the best around. The cobia reminded me of swordfish and was one of the best fish dishes I’ve had in a long time.
The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. Food was excellent as always! Please train your hostesses to think when seating people in wheelchairs to look for open pathways and not try to squeeze someone in a wheelchair past someone already seated.
We really appreciated how the executive chef and owner, Chef Banks, came by to say hi and then came by again to see how everything was going. He and his team really made us feel like VIPs! All of the food was absolutely delicious. Sean was an excellent server. 100% recommend!
Fabulous waitress who was very helpful and attentive. Always great food whether you call it Harry’s or Bank’s.
Crab cake delicious actually had crab. Lots of places in Phila. crab cake is filler.
Like Reading Terminal & Comcast food court all filler.
My friend had fish & chips liked it a lot.
Like this place, been here many times when we are in De.
