Banks' Seafood Kitchen & Raw Bar
This was an opportunity to celebrate our family with both my parents and our adult children. Every aspect of the dinner from appetizers to entrees was exceptional and our server could not have been nicer. The fish was perfectly cooked and the portions were generous. We will definitely be coming again.
Noise level was pretty high inside, but we ate outside on the patio and it was very nice and quite out there. Food was very good, but slightly overpriced in my opinion. We had the Crabcakes and they were very good.
Exquisite swordfish and buttermilk battered soft shelled crabs. Ahi tuna crisps and Thai mushroom and crab soup as appetizers. Ending with the cheeseplate and drinks. Perfect anniversary dinner.

Our waitress was amazing! So ashamed I can’t remember her name:-(
Lunch was luscious.
My friend & I had a 2 course meal
Cherries w/cheese on flat bread that was like a dessert
Never had anything so delicious & sweet
Shrimp w/a thin noodle very good....$15
A drink rounded out this wonderful lunch
Always enjoy BANKS best seafood.
My three friends and I frequent Banks with other friends and family and have always had great food and service. It’ s the best place for lunch and special occasion dinners
Great food! I recommend the naked lobster tails and Oprah fish!
Our lobster was excellent and our service from Marvin exceptional as always. Highly recommend.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch Saturday & had a delightful meal. I had the lobster roll and my husband had the salmon. Both were delicious!
Food as usual. July 4th. They were busy and service was slow. We didn't get 2nd drink ..took too long.
Food was ok
Fish dishes were good
Sides/ veggies/salads were subpar
Waiter was terrible
He was either high or slightly drunk
Staff needs more training
We enjoyed our dinner at Banks very much. Service at the beginning was spectacular (our reservation was for 6 pm); but as the evening wore on and it became more crowded, the service suffered quite a bit. We would still recommend Banks.
I would recommend Banks with the reservation that while the food is fresh and well prepared much of the menu is devoted to Cherviche and Raw Seafood. My dinner companions made out very well but I needed to eat light so I had difficulty making choices. I enjoy seafood very much but there are few light, simple offerings unless you like yours uncooked other than in citrus juice.
service a little slow. longer than need be for cocktails.
Excellent restaurant. Soft shell crab entree was excellent, as was the tile fish. The entree’s were served with excellent sides. Waiter provided excellent service.
waitress was exceptionally warm and thoughtful. We were first seated outside but the bugs were bad and we moved inside. Service was very good.
More of a sports bar, large group eatery than a restaurant. The food (largely shellfish) was okay, nothing special. It feels more like a chain restaurant than an independent dining place where the chef and/or owner oversee quality and delivery. Very disappointing.
One of the best dining out experiences I have had, period.
I rated service low because the hostess was EXTREMELY rude, refusing to seat us outside for our anniversary dinner as requested. The waiter was great.
Excellent service. Wonderful oysters and seafood. Everything came quickly. Our waiter was amazing. Definitely a high recommendation
This has always been my favorite restaurant for the past 13 years. It changed hands somewhat recently. We have gone there for almost every special occasion, business dinners and family affairs. The service today really let what was once a great restaurant down. Place was not even half full, and that is shocking for Fathers Day. Disappointed.
Our server was fun, personable and knowledgeable. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.
The food was really good and fresh. The location on the waterfront was nice. I thought it was a little pricey though.
I got a birthday dessert from Barns. Very nice
Everything was Perfect!
Haven't been there for a while. It was a nice treat for our anniversary and my birthday.
It’s NEVER a disappointment! Consistently good food in a great atmosphere. One of our “go to” places.
Food was good. Had to remind waiter for forks and other silverware. Loud, possibly inebriated, customer telling stories and cursing at table next to us. Very obnoxious! Hard for us to hear each other.
Went to Bank's for lunch. Blackened scallop cobb salad was an excellent selection. The scallops were perfectly grilled - grilled to the proper texture on the outside but still warm and moist interior. Salad was also nicely balanced - normally I ask for dressing on the side but decided to let them prepare and was not disappointed. Dressing was a complement and did not overwhelm the salad. Liked the selection of wines and the prices are as expected for a fine restaurant. Was worried when Harry's left but this is an upgrade as a replacement.
The food and staff excellant Noise level horific
The food was amazing! Even my non-seafood eaters loved t!heir meals. The outdoor deck is especially nice on a sunny day and great for a special occasion .
Great outdoor dining by the Christiana River. The food was excellent. Had a late lunch there on a Saturday.
Great lobster roll and trout entree.
Also loved the beet salad with marcona almond/basil pesto and lemon ricotta cheese.
Would definitely return for dinner.
Everything was great except that my raw clams needed a lot of lemon juice to counter the slightly metallic taste.
We enjoyed our dinner at Bank's Seafood Kitchen. There was another couple with us and we sat outside on a delightful evening. The service was excellent, the food was fresh and tasty, and the atmosphere was relaxed. It was a perfect Friday evening dinner. I would highly recommend eating at Bank's.
While the menu was a bit hard to process, and the prices were quite high, the food was delicious. We get to enjoy fresh seafood all the time and Banks delivered on that as we expected, but their prices were substantially higher than expected.
Great bar tender and wait staff.
